Viersbovsky Posted October 29, 2014 Share Posted October 29, 2014 To be honest, I am mostly looking forward to EDGE/NTTR. While all the planes I have may be nice, the very inconsistent performance makes some of them almost useless (I am looking at you Mustang, dropping from 40fps to 3 whenever I pull the trigger). Therefore, I am not that inclined to buy new planes when I may not even be able to properly fly most of them (although that BF109 looks so tempting... Screw it, I am gonna buy it anyways). Don´t take this the wrong way, I just can hardly await when EDGE finally lands - and I think ED feels the same.. So yeah, love the screens (earth curvature!), and hope EDGE will bring more consistent performance and all the other little gimmicks we dream about. I also think multi-crew support will open up an entirely new dimension to this simulation. I am looking forward to christmas/Q1 2015, keep on rocking guys! I'm guessing that is another bit in SiTh's hint below. 2.0 marks huge changes for the sim, one of those is EDGE. This is the second time I see you hinting this with 2.0. Very much looking forward to the Flanker, Albatros and MiG-15... these will be all mine! :clap_2: However, seems like good news never come without any bad ones... Sad face about 2.0. I was hoping that mid-November, at the same time as Flanker release, might be a realistic estimate, and from previous newsletter, I've got the impression it's even ED's plan (dunno, maybe just wishful thinking on my side). Now, the careful wording of the latest newsletter makes an impression more like "We are really trying to make this by the end of this year, but unless we are really insanely lucky, it won't be here before 2015." Feels like a little deja-vu. How many times now? I've stop counting already. ED's t Tornado model was already nice, now add better lighting, specular and reflection and it looks like a completely new model. True, i've overlooked the fact that not everyone can be shifted to work on something different in this case EDGE. But i also think they would do theirselves a favour by releasing EDGE as soon as possible, so that was my initial thought, but i'm sure they know that. Anyway didn't want to sound ungrateful. Probably wouldn't make much sense to show it in the context of the entire US. Looking at Google maps and ballparking it using the relative positions of Nellis and Groom Lake as guides, it appears that the map is about 1/2 the total size of Nevada.
