upupandaway Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) nice screenshot update Yup, me like. Thanks for the hint. Crisp, no visible tiling... Looks very refined and I´m actually a little impressed. Med and Low don´t look bad at all at some altitude. The difference is likely most noticeable when you are close to the ground, but the improved lighting seems to mitigate the lack detail to some degree. ED Team NineLine Posted May 27, 2015 ED Team Posted May 27, 2015 Too bad they couldn't manage the 1 meter resolution that was originally mentioned. The high looks pretty damn good to me, not sure the difference in 1 to 2 meters in resolution would really be noticeable to many... theropod Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 The high looks pretty damn good to me, not sure the difference in 1 to 2 meters in resolution would really be noticeable to many... i think it matters, 1 meter resolution is better than 2 meters, also there is "cm" resolutions far better.

joebloggs Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Will there be a lot less lagg in multiplayer games with Edge been able to handle more objects? Currently, the more players that join a server the laggy they become. I presume this object count includes the players aircrafts or maybe not?

ED Team NineLine Posted May 28, 2015 ED Team Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) all i can give you applicated examples rely on other sim. you can see the clear difference at similar altitudes photos are named as examples Without knowing the resolution used its hard to compare. And I think ED's high res areas will look as good if not better than those shots (I will be honest, some of those shots are horrible, lo-res textures, no atmospheric effect, etc) taking everything into consideration. We need to be careful not to turn this into a DCS vs XXXX thread as well. I stand by my statement that 1m vs 2m per pixel will not be noticeable to most, if anyone... ED Team NineLine Posted May 28, 2015 ED Team Posted May 28, 2015 Its like Flight model discussions, its pointless to compare DCS to anything else when ED tries to achieve what is seen/felt in real life not what is seen/felt in another sim/game.
