Yea i thought carriers would need updating to.

That's very true.. we need a new 3D model and textures for the Kuznetsov!

Look how beautiful it looks:

I'm not sure why they haven't released it yet. Anyway, back to the topic, Su-33 with its new PFM, definitely needs an updated Kuznetsov.

I think they need some more time to remove that flag aft of the boat, that looks dangerous :D

I'll see if I can poke the hive on the PFMs for the remaining FC3 aircraft. I would think with the carriers eventually coming the PFM for the Su-33 would be important.

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing about the PFM of the Su-33 being important with the next few modules coming out.

Yeah, that isnt official from me, but as I understood it, PFM aircraft dont interact with the old carriers correctly, if they were to update the Su-33 without the carriers it could break carrier ops for that aircraft, least that is my guess. I could be way off too :)

Come on ED, the PFM for the Su-33 is just taking too long. I know you can't please everyone, every time, I understand that, but honestly, this is taking too long! At least some news on progress would be appreciated!

PFM aircraft dont interact with the old carriers correctly

Can confirm (on the Kuznetsov)

F-15/Su-27 explode upon reaching the center point of the carrier (even if your wheels are a few feet above it)

Su-25T/A have a weird bug involving the ramp that makes their wheels pop when going back down onto the main deck.

Most other aircraft are OK, if I remember correctly.

DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule.

well it follows logic that a carrier craft can not be looked at first without upgrading its mothership to include pitching decks, etc...

It even follows more logic that Wags signature says "more news on F/A-18 when Normandy gets done".

Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Same here, directly came here to check ... ED never do this kind of thing without any clever hint, so we might be getting new Su-33 FM in the coming 6 years I assume ;-)

We had MiG-29 banner for some time as well, and nothing happened... I've lost my faith long time ago.

We had the Fulcrum banner last year, and that has received some great 3D model upgrades over the past year for a number of its variants. Who knows what the Su-33 banner may hint at. I believe it has been said the Flanker-D PFM would come before the Fulcrum PFM.

I don't fly the Su-33 or the Mig29 because there is no PFM. I have absolutely zero interest in flying SFM aircraft.

I would like to though. The Su33 in combination with carrier operations would probably be a blast. The Fulcrum is my favorite Soviet designed and built fighter aircraft.

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

because people have figured out threats like "losing faith in" and "wont purchase any more of" are simple tricks to extort devs into providing some instant gratification.

it doesnt help anyone in the end though, devs dont get any money out of it and we don't get the product any sooner.

Does anyone know about the specific differences between the Su-27 and 33?

I can't help but wonder if the canards make the aircraft less stable, or if they compensate for a further aft CoL caused by the larger wing.
