What is your most anticipated feature in 1.5/2.0?

We are all anticipating the release of the next major version of this amazing sim.

What is the feature that you are waiting for the most? (from what was officially mentioned so far)

For me it's definitely the scale-able objects, so it will be easier to pick up other aircraft as well as ground vehicles followed closely by the improved smoke effects.

My most anticipated feature of 1.5 is.....wait for it......1.5 itself :)

With that said, this is a topic best moved to the Chit-Chat section.

Would be extremely interesting to see the list of fixes and improvements, hopefully we will see individual beta module fixes as well with the release of 1.5

Hopefully at release of 1.5 or soon after, module updates and Bug fixes.

New Mission builder/editor will be interesting, if it comes with 1.5.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

Enhanced model visibility, followed by potential performance improvements.

This. ^^

I'm so tired of trying to find aircraft in a WWII server, and the lag the 50. Cal's produce.

Has to be EDGE. The current engine is so old....

It will be like a whole new game (sorry, sim)

For Sure. I am anticipating the new graphics engine with the same enthusiasm as when I first installed DCS and heard the intro music. That was exiting for sure. and for a nerd like me getting the manual and reading through it for months before I purchased the Sim. was interesting.

Wife would see me reading it and smile that "You are such a Nerd" smile at me.:)

Well, I am looking forward the most to ... hrm, the "relieve", the relieve of tension when it is finally released. So many expectations for 1.5/2.0 - it is supposed to fix 10000 bugs, make everything 1000 times faster and smoother, will enable the 3rd party devs to finally release 100 of long awaited modules ...

Well, it won't. Not all of that at least.

But the upcoming release seems to be a huge ... hrm, congestion point of some sort in the DCS space-time continuum. All and everything seems to be ... converging there now.

And therefore I hope, we, ED and everone else can get back to "normal mode" again after the release while we enjoy the nice steady stream of new stuff that the future holds for all of us. :o)

The feature I am waiting most is better performance due to directx 11 upgrade. Then unified exe and ability to have map view in the mission editor, better graphics and of course new map that is coming.

+1. I'm pretty happy with how DCS looks now. So many little bugs with the SU25/T and the A10A make only the helo campaigns worth playing for me nowadays. Wingman AI is just [insert expletive] for A-G. Su25T AP has been bugged all year.

Sorry needed to get that off my chest:)

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

First of all is about graphics with direct impact on performance.

All others new features come very very close to first one ... but that one is the most expected to resume my sim hours. Modern games need that touch for for sure. I cannot go for playing Steel armor for example even I know is best tank sim, but graphics is at least 15 years behind :)... I am and will remain an armchair sim guy ... ;)
