Does that mean that the preset switches to this profile when VR has been used like in the old app? I found that always a bit confusing because i use 2 VR presets and after using one of then it defaulted always back to VR Headset. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL. I am a very basic user, launch DCS in VR or no VR; clean and/or repair; and updating. I have never used Presets and am curious how and for what they are used. I mostly play SP but plan to get in to MP soon. I use just 1 settings (graphics, sound, VR, etc) for every DCS session and just wondering what presets would do for me. Thanks! 1

Lange_666 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 In the current one: This is what i do and what works, maybe there are other possibiliy's: Open updater / start DCS / set desired settings / close DCS / select App Settings tab in updater / under Custom Preset Names enter your preset name / press apply / repeat for next preset. Warning: Since 2.8 (i guess) there is a little problem when running the updater for the first time after the program has been closed, it will load default values for DCS (viewable in the last line of the log). On the second start of DCS when u select a preset it will load the correct one. To shortcut this behavior i open Task Manager, run updater, start DCS, it will load default values, the moment DCS shows up in Task Manager i kill the process, then restart again through the updater with the correct preset. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Game path and saved path is correct set and also DCS would start if i start it direct but DCS GUI is not able to!? I also delete files in here: /<Username>/Appdata/Local/Skate_Zilla_Simulations/ Defined DCS and Game Save folder again. But no success. I guess this tool is not working in Win11
