ED Team NineLine Posted July 19, 2017 Author ED Team Share Posted July 19, 2017 Guys, please use this thread when there IS a patch, then we can discuss it, there is no promise or guarantee that there will be a patch every week. kunterbunt
Guys, please use this thread when there IS a patch, then we can discuss it, there is no promise or guarantee that there will be a patch every week. Look at older patch note posts from Chizh, they are generally out by now, that can be pretty telling. The problem is that we only get confirmation if a patch gets out, but not always if not. Back when Friday was news and patch day, we would know if or if not there is a patch. A short comment from the developers that today there will be no patch would be very helpful to reduce the anticipation for some of us. fjacobsen
Yeah ED and their 3rd party affiliates are really starting to bother me... + Razbam M2000C - Bought 18.Dec.2015 - Still not finished and apperant still on hold due to new focus on the AV-8B and nothing about when they expect it to be finished. + Polychop S342 - Bought 29.Apr.2016 - On hold due to internal disputes and nothing about when they expect it to be finished. + ED NTTR Map - Bought 21.Oct.2010 as part of the standalone A-10C - Still in Alpha and only slowly getting updated. + ED Normandie - Bought 21.May.2017 - Not so long since release, but still not usable due to extremely bad performance Additionally a number of features than once kind of worked, now doesn´t (Helicopter Embark/disembark) and has not been fixed for a very long time. Poor bomb blast implementation (not a bug, but still a game breaker). Poor damage modelling , especially on WW2 aircraft (in the works, but when will we see it implementet?). I own all modules, exceot the C-101, the Hawk and some campaign modules. If I´m going to continue supporting this project by puting hard earned money into it - then at least I could expect more focu on finishing stuff than keep pouring money into new alpha's and beta's that seemingly will take years to complete. I´m aware that we as customers must support developers of small niche's like DCS for them to survive, but then again we should also expect them to deliver what we paid for within reasonable time, otherwise this can for my sake die before beeing born, cause therer ar other flightsim developer out there that seem to be able to deliver what they expect close to what they promise. i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz, 32GB RAM, RTX 4070 12GB, 1 x 1 TB SSD, 2 x 2TB SSD2 TB, 1 x 2 TBHDD 7200 RPM, Win10 Home 64bit, Meta Quest 3. Raven68
It would be much simpler if nobody would expect an update every week. I think a strong majority don't expect an update every week, but as I mentioned before 2.1 is 2 days shy from a month of being updated. Very much not true, the Harrier had to be functional for E3, so they focused on it for a few months, now the Mirage is getting finished, and i mean there is little left to do on it. The only reason you aren't seing any progress is because ED isn't pushing the patches. You just have to wait :). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

A short comment from the developers that today there will be no patch would be very helpful to reduce the anticipation for some of us. But nothing really changed from the "Friday era" in this regard. If Chizh posts patch announcement with changelog in the updates thread at about 15:00 UTC, then there is a patch, if he doesn't, then there isn't. The only difference is it all happens on Wednesdays now. Confirmations that there would be no patch were rare and optional. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10. Joni
Today's Update???? So I just read the changelog and found this: DCS World German soldier with Mauser 98 is available for all localizations. Briefing. Added pressure in hPa and measurement units for QFE pressure indicator. Su-25. Fixed cockpit glass. Decreased CPU load of SAM groups. Su-25T and Ka-50. Phantom images will not appear on TV screen. Ka-50. Added trimmer mode for joysticks without spring and FFB into Ka-50 special options. Fixed in-game manual window is less than game window in minimum resolution. They fixed the new stuttering problem on 1.5 but only on 2.1??? Meaning that the 1.5 will remain unplayable. ED Team NineLine Posted July 28, 2017 Author ED Team Share Posted July 28, 2017 The update was only for 2.1. That is how ED patches with these different versions out there right now. I am sure the next 1.5 update will have the same fix if it will work with 1.5. So I just read the changelog and found this: DCS World German soldier with Mauser 98 is available for all localizations. Drexx
16AGR are still running 1.5.6 until they fix the major issues with 1.5.7, 1.5.6 runs buttery smooth in multiplayer, 1.5.7 does not, just bringing it up because we really need a patch for 1.5.x Developer of DDCS MP Engine, dynamicdcs.com https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=208608
