No update today either?

 

Wasn't it planned to upgrade the Open Beta to 2.5.5 today? Some feedback would be nice.

 

 

I know most people are waiting for the F-18 new stuff, but that major promise to improve VR performance is my highest expectation.

 

 

So what? Next week? This friday?

I understand delays so don't take this negatively. However, are we gonna get any communication from ED on this today? We were given quite a bit of hype on this. Just be nice to hear an update. :)

Usually if its not coming for sure, they let us know. So, I assume they are still trying to get it out today. If so, they are not going to come on here and say, we may have it in 52 minutes guys. When they are sure it wont happen today, they will probably say something like: Not going to happen today, guys, we are going to shoot for Friday.

Dear all,

 

Sadly, we still have a 3rd party that has not updated their code to work within the 2.5.5 branch. To release 2.5.5 today would mean their module would not function within DCS World. We very much hope to see this resolved next week. If it cannot be, we will still release version 2.5.5 next week, and the 3rd party module will still be playable in the release version.

Reminds me of time in military, mass punishment due to one persons lack of performance. Take my humble vote and release what is ready therefore other bigger enhancements will be tested by a bigger populace while they play catchup.....:thumbup:

Given the time passed since the last beta patch release, I feel they should have released the open beta branch today and that 3rd party would have waited for the next open beta upgrade window.

 

Certainly better than no updates for yet another week.

 

Hint: Maybe they can still do this on Friday and the late 3rd party can still work till Wednesday?
