Yes, Wags actually released this info a while ago when he showed what would be coming for the Hornet.

He did edit to add the /K after the H for that missile. It was simple a typo though.

Bearing in mind how useless the A10's gun (in game) is versus tanks, probably worth assuming that the 20mm is only good for soft or very lightly armoured vehicles.

No, its "multiples". So if you have quantity set to 1, and multiples to 2, you will drop 2 bombs each time. Just like on the A-10. So if you have quantity set to 4, and multiples to 2, you will drop a total of 8 bombs in 4 sets of 2.

How good is F-18C 20mm Vulcan gun vs ground targets?

 

Is the gun on the hornet tilted up slightly vs centerline of the plane to make firing on a turning adversary easier, but making engaging ground targets more difficult? I could have sworn I read that somewhere many years ago but a quick internet search turned up nothing.

I'm pretty sure that it isn't tilted and that it's aligned with the Hornet's longitudinal axis.

(Not absolutely 100% sure on this, so someone correct me if I'm wrong)

At least the pilot has 15 degrees of available sight depression - 13 deg down from the waterline to the nose plus 2 deg of gun tilt.

A2G Gun Strafing is done from a higher altitude and a higher dive angle and greater distance.

 

Altitude + Dive Angle + Greater Distance + Bullet Drop = Radar Ranging Sight = makes that 2° nothing to worry about.

I am stoked, looks like a fantastic module - coming from FSX where study level sims are few and far between this appears to be just an incredible experience.

 

I love the Belsimtek F-5E and am really looking forward to see what they can do with the Hornet.

 

Hope we get some Adversary skins, love the VFC-13 splinter skin for the F-5E, hint, hint, hint.

Very, very curious to see how the ground radar turns out (and what comes down the road once that tech works in DCS*)

 

*Yeah, Viggen has ground radar, but it's nothing like the proper synthetic aperture you get in a Hornet (and Strike Eagle, and Viper, etc...)
