Mi8 + huey combo would be enough for me

It is interesting that bst chose l39 for implementing the GPS since it is not bst addon. Huey would be better choice (jelous mode on) :)

For me the Mi-8 has a perfectly decent navigation suite as it is, I just wouldn't use it.

The big thing it adds to DCS is offical Approach, Arrival and Departure procedures

but I hope ED are going to add .pdf versions of what's in the virtual NS430 as it's not going match the real (LIMAN is missing)

and we won't find fictional or Military AB in the Jeppesen database either.

I can't see this selling well but if it brings any extra people to DCS then great. However I won't be one to cough up USD 15 for this single navigational aide instrument.

Would be more worrisome if they didn't charge for new products that must've taken lots of manhours to achieve.

But I get ya. If you're skint, you're skint. Tough...

no you clearly don't.

Will the DCS: NS 430 interact with the NAV-Point, set in the mission editor?

For now, no, you have to manually create a flight plan each time you spawn.

Perhaps in the future this will be possible.

I have a question before buying it. Is it possible to make some specific target points manually in this device?

Yes, you can add user ('USR') navigation points and build a flight plan around them.

Here a player creates a USR waypoint (marking a bridge) which he names "1" and then uses the "Direct to" button to fly to it.

Yes, I do. You were talking about BST adding additional features and charging for them, which is complete baloney since the NS430 is not an aircraft-specific feature, but a standalone piece of highly complex equipment that is very hard to model to the level they've done. Or in other words, it's an altogether new product and a highly complex one at that.

So what this boils down to is you whining about them selling a product. Please

Not so complex. Come on, basic equipment on general aviation aircraft...

The nav suite on the a10 is vastly more complex. As for cost that boils down to personal preference.

This is a game changer for anyone who wants to upgrade his game and knowledge above f10 as long as it is intergrated in other modules as well.

I think it is way way too expensive and complex for casual gamers. Only suited for professionals with 1st hand experience with this system IRL.

Then you are, of course, welcome to not buy the module and ignore the fact that it exists. And feel free to check what you have to pay for equivalent products for the other sims [that shall not be named....

No im not whining. Your the one attacking me or others merely for offering thier 2 cents.

Again if this is going to be specific to the mi8 and re-bought for other aircraft using this GPS system its kinda of only really a jsutfiable purchase if you exceptionally passionate to a specific air frame ( only an occasional mi8 pilot). Besides GPS is nothing new to DCS. Not the same system but EGI is more complex on the A10C.

Believe me i have no trouble about price of full modules. I own nearly all aircraft and all current maps. Its about personal worth / importance of things a general philosophy irregardless of how much $$ you have or not.. please don't insult people by implying they don't want to buy something merely because you think they cannot afford it.

I'm not insulting you, I'm being mildly sarcastic.

However, nothing changes the fact that this is a new GPS implementation for DCS sharing no code with its predecessors, or in other words, a completely new product with a purchase price set by the manufacturer.

Don't want it? Don't buy it. Simple as that. But new products tend to come with a price tag regardless and this is no different.

Same could be said about the A-10C, or any other module for DCS, we take casual gamers and turn them into hardcore flight sim fans...

By the way, I purchased for 11 bucks using bonus points, so I am gonna say the too expensive thing is a little off...

The complex thing may be true, but it comes with a nice 86 page manual (mmmm manuals) so I'll be learning starting tonight... as long as the Mi-8 agrees not to kill me :)

Where? Where is the manual. I bought it and have yet to find a manual.

In fact I can't find a manual for the Ka-50, Sabre, gazelle, Hawk..... anything.

All the manuals used to be in a sub folder but now I can't find them anywhere besides the Mi8 and A10-C documentation on the DCS website.........

Where do you find the manuals these days???????

Paste a link or instructions to find at least 2 on my list if you don't mind.

I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original.

"Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons.

"I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! It has BLINKY LIGHTS!!" author unknown.

These titles are listed in the chronological order I purchased them.

Go into the folder for the modules in your main DCS install, each module has a Doc folder, this includes campaigns as well. In there will be manuals and such for you. If you need more detailed instructions, just let me know.
