I'm not going to buy it. Already have the F/A-18 which gives me enough to learn and train. I simply don't have the time to fly two different aircraft with such a high complexity. DCS is a good sim, but I have other things in my life to do besides "flying". :)

Too late for me too.

I have the Hornet, a favorite for me considering that she is gotten better with new features added.

Heatblur did a great job on the F-14 with the first RIO(Jester) feature

 

The D or the sparrow hawk variant would have been a much more easier buy for me.

 

Not really a fan of analog cockpit but Jester convinced me to buy it.

I don‘t like the F-14 cockpit per se, although I must say the jet itself looks absolutely gorgeous, one of my all time favorites. I bought it purely for the flight model. (The LANTIRN is a nice bonus too!)

I'm already dedicated to flying the Hornet and I don't want to wander off too much. I'll be buying the Tomcat eventually though.

Love me some analog instruments. The F14B is about as computerized as I prefer. It is the perfect blend of everything I want in a module. This one will be quite difficult to beat.

Finding I cant be bothered to fly the hornet atm. Much preferring older jets like Mig19.

Tomcat is a good mixture of old and new - so I bought it. I prefer instruments to HUD

Don’t get me wrong I love my Hornet, but she’s no looker and has a distinct lack of personality, but she sure as heck is versatile. Find myself more in the Mirage nowadays, can’t do as much but she’s a looker and has some personality. Still the FBW system does make me feel that this is what it would look like if an A320 was turned into a fighter jet. (I spend a lot of time in autopilot flying her with the trim hat)

 

The Tomcat strikes a cord. She’s a looker and that mix of powerful avionics with pre auto everything charm just drew me in. Can’t wait to put her in a flat spin.

 

Next step has to be a Phantom right ;)

Besides, I fly sims because I don't have any friends. Been that way since A2FS1, and not much has changed other than the graphics are marginally better now.

MiG-28 pilots are the only ones that won't buy F-14 :) Besides the obvious animosities to F-14, they're still waiting for a full fidelity MiG-28 (the real one, not F-5E with the MiG-28 livery) coming to DCS.

Other than that, good luck to the DCS download servers tomorrow :)

I'm holding off on getting the Tomcat for now. Have alot of RL stuff going on and I don't have time right now to put into learning a module as complex as the F-14 appears to be. I still look forward to seeing them in action on the MP servers.

No need. We have Mavericks. But of course. If you need more gbus we can be of assistance. Since you can only carry four of them.
