uboats
We started with pure clickable operations during development. After reading all your feedback, we realized that more key binding are necessary So, we want to hear from you and know what operations you want to bind to keyboard/device. And we will try to add as many as possible before next update. Please reply by following below format: [keyboard]: 1. ... 2. ... [device]: 1. .. 2. .. Tippis
In general: If it's available as a keyboard bind, it should be available as a device bind and vice versa. Similarly, if it's available as an axis bind, it should be available as a button bind. More specifically: [devices and keyboards] UFCP buttons — all of them. Left-panel radio buttons – all of them. Master arm, including as latched/three-position HOTAS switches (arm if pressed, else safe; training if pressed, else safe). Light switches, including latched/three-position HOTAS switches Engine idle throttle position toggle. Radar elevation / sensor zoom Wheel brake left / right. Flaps switch as latched/three-position switch. Parking brake as a latched switch (Park if pressed, else normal). A/A-A/G config switch, including as latched switch position (A/A if pressed, else A/G) T1 as latched/three-position switch (A/G mode if pressed, else nav; A/A mode if pressed, else nav). [devices] Landing gear. Chute, in a number of different ways, as individual and as latched/three-position switches (deploy; release; deploy if pressed, else safe; release if pressed, else safe). Airbrake as latched switches (Airbrake on, else airbrake off and vice versa) Request AWACS bogey dope (for some reason, you can bind vector to home base, but not dope). …aaand, of course, eventually, just about every other switch, button and knob you can click on. :P ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. johnv2pt0
I'm a little confused on why this seems to be an issue with so many developers. And I don't mean this as an insult or troll, but quite literally everything that is used in the jet routinely should be bind able by any device / button box. This is a simulation and many people build cockpits or have simple button boxes for commonly used actions in the cockpit. The whole point of have external control devices is so that, like in real cockpits, you can reach out and touch something without even having to look at it. This becomes even more important in the VR age. If you interact with it in a routine combat flight, it should have a non-greyed out binding available for any controller that is detected and recognized by the game options. This include lighting rheostats (and as axis options!)...I only mention that specifically because for some reason this doesn't make it into most of the jets. Thanks for the hard work...really enjoying what I've seen so far!
some1
Most modules have all assignments available for joysticks and keyboard. There's no need to differentiate between them. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
Lobinjaevel
Device: All threeway switches, so if it's not forward, it's neutral, and the same for backwards or neutral. That way it returns to it's middle position when released. And the rest of the missing bindings. Just the function of the button, so that it will work in a home cockpit :) Great job so far, looking forward to building a simpit for the aircraft! Shimmergloom667
I'd like a: T1: move inboard T2: move outboard binding, so I can replicate the 3-way switch with a 2 way switch that I have. cellinsky
I would like to see a mapping wich has the function of the real thing: A 3-state switch is a 3-state switch on my hotas. Eg: Mastermodes AG / NAV / AA. Or a toggle in RL is a toggle insim: AP on/off, etc. Of course this is not always possible and there has to be possibilities for non hotas user as well. However, in general it would be a nice approach. Thanks for youre hard work, Marcel
Tippis
Also, ideally, this shouldn't even be something that the module and module makers have to worry about at all, but rather be a standard function of the binding screen: where functions can be bound either on button press or on button release (or both) — that way, it wouldn't be up to the individual module maker to have to worry about the many different setups that the users have. That's already how it all works underneath the surface, of course, but it would be so much easier for everyone if that functionality was exposed directly on the bind screen. That would make it entirely an ED issue to resolve however, so I'm guessing some pretty solid pressure would have to be applied to make that happen. ;) ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. All 3 way switches include all three ways and an "else" for both positions that are not center. All knobs as axis, clockwise, and counterclockwise. My personal preference if I had to chose a handful would be the UFCP, Radio Control Panel, and the Weapon Master Arm Switch. It would be a huge help if you were able to include Default keyboard keybinds with the new binds so that everyone flying the JF-17 will be on the same page when helping eachother out and making device profiles. statrekmike
On top of having a (rather essential) option for a three position T1 switch, I think it is also quite important to have (like other applicable modules) a means to bind the throttle stop/idle so that those with Warthog throttles can bring the throttle in and out of the stop position. rrohde
Most modules have all assignments available for joysticks and keyboard. There's no need to differentiate between them. +1 PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com
MobiSev
Not a keybind request, but a request to change a keybind. The "Zoom Normal" control needs to be a little more zoomed in than it currently is. Currently zoomed too far out. Rudel_chw
So, we want to hear from you and know what operations you want to bind to keyboard/device. And we will try to add as many as possible before next update. I would like to bind the throttle off/idle lock onto a keyboard command, Thanks a lot For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
