I can tell you that there are a great number of errors in the air traffic control phraseology and procedures used in this game if it is trying to portray American military or civilian procedures. At least for the Mk. 80 series. Just follow the bomb with F6 and you can hear it shortly before impact.

Yeah, exactly that "swoosh" ;) I just checked again and even with headphones and loud volume there is no such sound associated with bombs (in this case Mk-82s) - just the bang. I checked from the F6-perspective and from a fixed ground perspective immediately over the target. When did ED supposedly add it? I have all but the latest update to 1.2.6 installed. I would agree with all ideas put forth. The lack of developers building high level Air Combat Simulators, is a sad thing for us all and I guess the many threads like this found in various Forums will forever just either remain as a WANT or POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENT. What I personally would like to see in DCS, is a complete over haul of the structure of the sim starting with a new GUI. Something like this................. DCS GUI and Structure Outline & Development over time as a WAR & AIR COMBAT SIMULATOR 1. Single Player Functionality A.i. Cadet-ship Training – Recruit to Commissioned Pilot Syllabus based on USAF Training - (Many docs online to follow) A.i. Training Ranges and Strategic Planning Mission Operations A.i. Tactical A-A and A-G Instant Action Function A.i. Tactical Engagement Creator A.i. Theaters of War with Dynamic Campaigns & Global 3D Scenery like FSX so forth realistic tactical ground war and combined arms (DCS-WORLD + COMBINED ARMS) A.i. ACMI Recorder and Analysis Recommendations 2. Multi Player Functionality Online Training Ranges Online Tactical Engagement Online Theaters of Dynamic Campaign & Global 3D Scenery like FSX so forth realistic tactical ground war and combined arm so forth realistic tactical ground war and combined arms (DCS-WORLD + COMBINED ARMS) Online Squadrons Additionals:- More Air Craft (D.A.C.T), Naval Strike Group + Carrier Ops, Combined Arms, Helos more ground war content and realism in simple WAR added with commercial aviation, ATC + Air Base Management and Air Bases......... so on. I mean this would be pretty cool to do :) Support for this one! Not so much because it would be cool, but because it also serves a purpose. It is despairing watching the aircraft burn after one of those belly landings with the pilot sitting there like an idiot waiting to blow up and the player obtain an unnecessary death. Getting out would enable him to wait the fire out and either repair the aircraft or get a new one to continue a mission (as long as there are still some of the type available at the base, that would be). Also, some quick response "visible" emergency/fire service vehicles to put out these fires would be good. They could be waiting near the runway whenever a damaged aircraft requests an inbound to a particular airfield. Just wondering.

The ability to transport needed supplies to differing bases across the map. I'm talking planes, trains, trucks and ships as well, you know stuff that can be destroyed to prevent their arrival to where they are needed. A sort of logistical game inside DCS. There are many things that have to be fixed with the current DCS for this to be useful but hopefully sometime after the implementation of EDGE this can become a reality. It could be a draw for the commercial bus drivers from FSX to come fly DCS. Can anyone say DCS C-5B Galaxy? Imagine all the troops that could be carried by a DCS 747-400.
