This is the epitomy of 'whatever, just do it!'

My 2c though:
Vietnam era jets are on the rush forward, so any of these would be a good addition
Same goes for italian aircraft (see tonka, ef2k, MB-339)
F-104 fits the same timeframe and airforces of the already announced G.91 so +1 here
104 and 102 fit a Fulda gap scenario and would be greatly supported by many
I have no idea how the korean war era early jets will be percieved but the announcment of A-1H is a step in the right direction and there are many possibilities here
(i know it's not a jet but the timeframe fits roughly)
I don't know much about the Warbird community but i always found them to be a lot less used than they should be
Modern aircraft (i'm talking post 1980) usually have the largest customer base, because modern meta, jak-130 would be a nice full fidelity addition to redfor assets

For myself i figured any of the century fighters preferrably f-105, but in the end it really doesn't matter. They are all wonderful aircraft as long as you do it well

Since this is a wish list:

WW1 Biplanes! Should be relatively easy to develope, since they don't have any sophisticated avionics and systems. Of course we would need an asset pack to go along with them.

(Yes, I know that there is this other simulator, that has them. And I own it. But I don't like it. I like DCS! 🤗)

Waiting for an official release, you might want to try this mod:

Again, I didn't try it, but it seems a nice mod.

Oh, cool. I wasn't aware if this. Thank you, I will give it a try!

IMHO:

1 - F 84 (F Thunderstreak) + (G Thunderjet), because it was a fighter bomber used in Korean war and by first italian aerobatic squadriglie 😉 (it's a natural development of the triad F84F+G91R+MB339);

2 - F 105, waiting for Nam's map;

3 - F 9 Phanter, waiting for Korea's map and old carriers.

Why users don't understand that the question is limitated to planes enlisted?

SEPECAT Jaguar…

Low level strike on the forthcoming Kola map👍

F-104 would be an interesting choice, but we can really do with some more Euro models

any of:

Hawker Hunter

English Electric Canberra

Blackburn Buccaneer

Hawker Sea Fury

would also be a huge👍👍👍👍

I would like them to give us the opportunity to pay for this module they have built for MSFS2020.  I want this in DCS, full fidelity.

Looks very good… I know that area of Wales pretty well and could recognise where in the landscape etc

For me personally i dont see a lot on the vote that would be interesting. Probably only the C-27J.
For me the following planes would be interesting looking at their role and how they would fit into the DCS maps

SU-17/20/22 Ground Attack
Currently used by Syria and Iran.
Formerly used by Egypt, Iraq, Russia and Soviet Union.
Could historicly be used on Syria, Persian Gulf, Caucasus and the coming Sinai and Kola maps

SU-24 Ground Attack
Currently used by Iran, Russia and Syria.
Formerly used by Iraq
Could historicly be used on Syria, Persian Gulf, Caucasus and the coming Sinai map.

SU-25 Ground attack
Currently used by Georgia, Iran, Iraq and Russia.
Formerly used by Soviet Union.
Could historicly be used on Caucasus, Syria, Persian Gulf and the Coming Sinai

Mig-29K Carrier based figther.
Currently used by Russia.
Could historicly be used on Caucasus, Syria and the coming Kola map. But since its carrier based more or less everywhere.

AN-12 Medium Transport
Currently used by Russia
Formerly used by Egypt, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and soviet Union
Could historicly be used on Caucasus, Syria, Persian Gulf and the coming Sinai and Kola Maps

An-26 Small transport
Currentlu used by Russia and Syria
Formerly used by Iraq and Soviet Union
Could historicly be used on Caucasus, Syria and the coming Kola map

TU-22M Strategic bomber/maritime strike (multicrew)
Currently used by russia
Formely used by Soviet Union
Could historicly be used on Caucasus, syria and the coming Kola map

All red side aircraft that would add to the game from my point of view.

Besides those i would also like to see

Sepecat Jaguar
F-111 (multicrew)
B-1 (Multicrew)
CH-53
SA-330 Puma
C-27J Spartan or C-160 Transall

Mirage III

Why?

BECAUSE, that's why!!

Historic wars and engagements.

A very important fighter in Cold War context.

Flown in many airforces all over the globe.

It also helps that it looks pretty!

The  Mirage III also fits in very well for the Sinai and Syria maps as the Israeli Air Force was a heavy Mirage operator. North Australia map, as the RAAF used them some. Normandy too.  And of course the South Atlantic/Falklands/Argentina map on the Argentinian side! Not that anyone'll stop you from using it on any of the other maps,

I limited myself to 5 total out of the votable options. I went with the F-105, AMX, SF-260, F-102, and the C-27J.

The F-105 for how iconic it is in the Vietnam War, as well as helping to flesh out that particular era in the game.
The AMX looks like it would be a fun light ground attack plane, we could always use more and they can help make fun scenarios in which you don't use the highest tier planes.

SF-260 as I've actually flown in one once(Air Combat USA) in a mock dogfight and it'd be a nice addition to the COIN plane roster.

F-102, I've always had a fascination for American delta wings, the F-102 and F-106 respectively. It's be very cool to fly the Delta Dagger (or a Delta Dart for that matter)

And finally the C-27J, really this comes down to a lack of sub-Hercules sized logistics aircraft currently in the game. (C-160 or C-123 as similar options).

I voted for the SF-260 (even if I'm a minority)

Yes wouldn't mind having this bird in DCS and have my own personal wishes as far as COIN planes go

.

628.jpg

A 37 DF Arms Car1.jpg

And please RAZBAM, show us civvies some love and release the Emb 314 Super Tucano at earliest possible convenience.

But that being said I voted for the F-104 Zipper, absolute "must have" with the "Flogger" inbound😝.

And I had 5 preference votes and seeing IFE are doing Italian Aircraft designs, possibly exclusively. Then these is were my vote would be allocated/

1: F-104s+g.

2: 1 of the Augusta-Bell "Huey" license builds preferably would really like a maritime helo that can kill ships.

3: Augusta 109 both land and maritime builds.

4: Alenia G222/C27j

5: Macchi C.205 Veltro

Now this doesn't meant I wouldn't like to see (some) of the others. But:

A: I think there is risk of "over-saturating" the DCS market with jet Trainer/light attack aircraft,(personally) want to see more Cold War aircraft in the mix first.

B: Don't see IFE doing non Italian aircraft designs yet, and I doesn't bother me in the least😉. With Crosstail Studios and Grinnelli Designs working on they're first modules, I could see these guys doing the American Dagger &/or Thud.

😄 Desperate to see more transports and helicopter brought quickly bought into DCS. And I want to see some shipboard helicopters that can, at minimum be able to conduct ASuW ops off of Frigates, Destroyers and other surface combatants.

- F-111

- Super Tomcat 21  (Yes - I know it was never built, but I'd still like the opportunity to fly what it would have been!)

- V-22 Osprey

None which are on the OP's list. 😆

Realistic expectations. I do wish to see - data availability - F104.

So, Primarily I'd like to see the F-104 being done. Whichever is possible.

I have also voted for the F-105 and F-102, and, I think getting data on that would be tough...well whichever of these three being possible and these planes if made will sell like hot cakes if made.

I would love to see the F-104. Its my favorite jet and alot of countries use it.

A A-37 Dragonfly would be awesome,too.
Perfect for the Vietam/Cold war aera and since we have the south atlantic map, alot south american countries use it against drug dealer etc.
And you have a option to do the T-37 Tweet trainer, so two planes in one package.

When you like to do some props, a Hawker Sea Fury would be awesome. Awesome lookin, can be used with the P-51,F-86 and MiG-15 for some Korea war missions. Alot of countries used the Sea Fury.

Or some early jets like the deHavilland Vampire or
the carrier based Hawker Sea Hawk. The sea hawk and the vampire would be for the up coming Suez map. The vampire had alot of user from countries. It flew for sweden, finland and norwege perfect for the upcoming Kola map

Hawker Sea Fury is a good call…

…but even better would be the gorgeous looking and sounding Hawker Hunter

ETA - similar era and tech to the Gina, and the four ADEN cannons are a close relative to the DEFA cannons already modelled for the 339

I think the AMX is a good plane for DCS, right now there is a lack of european aircrafts and while we have a reasonably good fighter like the Mirage there are no ground attackers. Yes there is the Viggen and it will come the Tornado but they are two very dedicated aircrafts, not the most versatile CAS planes. The best ground attacker we could ask for is a Harrier Gr.7/9 but as far as I understood british new(ish) planes will never be a thing so the AMX is the best we can get. And it's a cool looking plane.

I had a feeling I'd be agreeing with you, and a quick look at it's wiki page confirms it:

nullhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_Hunter

Many built, 1900

Several big airforces

Many small airforces that saw limited combat, Africa, South America and the Middle East.

And of course it's a 1950's era Cold War jet, nothing like the Bugs and Vipers of today!

I would HOPE that getting all the data to make this one ought to be legally available...

Just the thing to dogfight those early  Migs!!

Agree with you. What do you think about G.91? How does it compare to AMX?

G91 is way older and cant carry the same amount and type of weapons. AMX is more modern and can carry laset guide weapons.

AMX replaced the G.91, they are both little cheap light attacker withsome frighter capabilities but one made in the late '50s and one in the early '90s.

Honsetly while the G.91 is one of my favourite aircrafts is not competitive in any DCS scenario, limited with only 2 or 4 dumb bombs (and not very big ones) and no guidance of any kind is make this very light attack aircraft meybe more of a light fighter but still less powerful than a Sabre.

On the other hand the AMX can be a real little monster, 4 pylons with the ability to carry two bombs per pylon, LGB included, ventral TGP and a couple of AIM-9L or IRIS-T, M61 vulcan or two 30mm DEFA with radar lock guidance. It's not an A-10 but it can be treat as a Harrier.

Well G91 Can be widely used on MP Cold War server, an alternative of the sabre.

AMX would be nice too I agree way perfect for DCS World 90s 2000, even tho was underpowered could carry quite a bit of ordinance...
