Just starting out this campaign, looks promising!

I'm a bit confused about the backstory and setting though. There's an insurgency in the UAE? Iran has something to do with it? And if it's 2013 why are there USN Tomcats and why do I only have Sparrows?

Just finish the campaign and want to say a big thank you.

I enjoy it very much. Nice variety of mission, good level of difficulty, well rendered atmosphere, nice work !

I did no have too much issues overall, just once on mission 12

Spoiler

where for some reason  one of the low level SU24 was immortal (I shoot him using gun and it was still flying with no pilot and bouncing over the water instead of crashing) seems the mission break, no more communication, so I return to the carrier. The mission was not succesfull so I just skip it.

Also it was almost impossible to lock target with the radar on this particular mission, not too sure why, I did not encounter this behaviour on other mission

Thanks again and very much looking forward your next campaign in the F16 over Syria

Sedlo, you are a DCS god sir(or ma'am). All of your missions and campaigns are top notch. Thank you for all your hard work.

Maybe I missed a trigger, but is there supposed to be any more radio activity on mission 1 after the Mig goes home and we're told to return to the carrier? I switched Comm1 to carrier freq after not hearing any radio traffic for a while and just landed normally with my wingman with no further mission interaction. After exiting the mission, I only had a score of 50 with no completion and only an option to fly mission 1 again. Just wondering what I did wrong here 🧐

hey Dave!

Not at my computer ATM but wait until you get pushed to Marshall. It can range from 20-45 miles out.

cheers,

It’s fictional?

A what if, if it were.

Oh I totally get that, I just wanted a more detailed backstory for the situation is all. What can I say, I'm a foreign policy nerd.

There are Tomcats because there are no Super Hornets.

That totally makes sense!

There are Sparrows in the first mission because… well, because.

Don’t worry, AIM-120 appears very shortly.

Ah, I just need to play more missions then. I should get on that!

HI.

I wanted to thank you for such a good time I had flying this campaign! I really enjoyed every mission! thank you again for the effort and the inmense work you put on it. What a feeling of being part of it, good voiceovers ( i was sure Spudknocker was one of them...). I feel like I'm in the Navy now, and that I can accomplish whatever mission there is! 😜

Saludos.

my comms menu "\" doesn't work when I am going to refuel. is there something I need to bind?

Easy Communications is not enabled in this campaign.... You'll have to use the Comm Switch-COMM1 and Comm Switch-COMM2 bindings... Right Alt + \  and Right CTRL + \ respectively.

Thank you for this campaign!

I found it by accident in the download section and downloaded it instantly when I saw it was made by you 🙂. I played your Harrier Campaign a lot.

Your new campaign has the quality like a DLC Campaign, and would be one of the better one 🙂

Mission 10 CAP was very exciting and challenging and I love the "save points".

Only the last mission was a little bit to hard for me 😉

Thanks again!

Hi! Thanks for great campaing so far! Really like radiotalks in this. I´m pretty new what comes to settings in mission editing. How / where can the tooltips be turned back on (yes I know this sounds weird, as many ppl usually want them off in VR.. I would like em on, just as i´m new, it just helps at night time. Some .lua file ? #2 Have a question about mission 4. Have ED done something to coordinate system? There is clearly target STRAIGHT in the waypoint 4 inside mission editor, I even edited waypoint to accurate coordinates of that redflag i the middle of bunker / target area. STILL targed pod in mission itself goes like half mile "over" the target. Is it just ATFLIR from long distances that "looks" like the target marker  is behind / over target. (As i slew it on top of the target, and bombs away, they fall short. Is it just me being noob? 🙂 #3 If so, that i´m just noob, is there a way to get targets from a distance (this #3 is not just for the campaing, just good situation to ask..) so that the marker would not drift so much? Or is it just something that I have to live with, and correct when getting closer? I will next try to drop the bombs straight to waypoint itself. It might aswell be just atflir "drifting" in long distances... (so it just looks like it is not over the bunker area from distance). Maby I will delete SA´s from ground so that i can fly over the target and look does it still look the same. Cant go too low (as you well know.. 🙂 )

Hey @Wiggo.  First off, thanks!  I hope you enjoy the rest of the campaign.

The ATFLIR won't be totally precise, the coordinates given are for the friendly forces. You'll have to follow the instructions and slew the pod to where the bunker is.  The closer you are, the more precise the pod will be.

With practice you'll get better and you'll get this mission, I promise!

Yeah it was on place. When flew right over, the waypoint is excactly where it is supposed to be (on the screen of tgt pod... BUT there was one thing, i set the waypoints height to 25ft (flag shows 0, surrounding map/ground ~25ft) from 0ft ,but that is so little that it was not about that at all..) Thanks a lot for this. Learned something new. It is just ATFLIR "looking like" it is "over" target, as I wondered and as you said.

Sedlo, what a great campaign!!
Finished mission 1 and started 2, and wow...!! looking forward to get back up and fly it!!
Very well done sir!!! Thank you!

* minor issue on mission 2, I'm taking cat 1 and my wingman takes cat 2, and takes off right away, before me,
I takeoff shortly behind him and he then jettisoned all his stores trying to rejoin me...
will try again on cat 3/4.

Thanks for the info, @ron533 .  I haven’t seen this behaviour myself.  Is this on Multi-Thread?

Give cat 3 a try and please let me know how that works out.

I’ll have a look this coming weekend, too.

thanks!
