Un pack en français serait top, mais je pense que CH a besoin de modèles pour s’y mettre. Si on peut en choper quelques-uns, il les fera peut-être.

A French pack would be great but I think CH needs models to work from. If some of these can be obtained then he may do them, possibly.

Il y a déjà le french pack avec pas mal de véhicules, et pour les hélicos, il y a Damien qui en a fait. Certes ils ne sont pas parfaits (les hélicos), mais ont le mérite d'exister.

There's already the French pack with quite a few vehicles, and for the helicopters, Damien made some. They're certainly not perfect (the helis), but they have the merit of existing.

The issue with the French Pack is that it's not really maintained (one update since 5 years, and I doubt it will see any future updates... No Caesar, Griffon, Jaguar, Mamba, Crotales, etc). A few high-quality Currenthill frigates would be interesting (and why not the Charles de Gaulle!)

Yes, I can understand it. In fact, none of the french pack or the Charles de Gaulle (CDG), have evolved since a while. So if Currenthill have the time to make a great french pack with vehicles, and why not some special forces (with animation) like the commandos de marine (navy seals) and the foreign legion, and why not the CDG and maybe the Clemenceau /Foch, that would be a great pack that I would download directly.

Hi, I am a beginner trying to use these assets. I followed the directions for installation.

 

When I first used the mission editor to play around with the assets, they were there, and I ran a scenario where I got to use a couple of them. Then, as I go and select the assets for another scenario, they disappeared. I have no idea what I did to make that happen, but restarting DCS world and reinstalling the assets hasn't brought them back. They still show up in the encyclopedia, but not the Mission Editor. Does anyone know what the issue might be here?

Maybe you enabled the Historic Filter on the Mission Editor? ... these assets are not yet compatible with that feature.

Just curious, why is it that the CH assets can't seem to do attack group or attack unit? They can fire at point but that seems about it.

It may be 'cos his assets are GPS/INS targeting. Such as cruise missiles, they can only fired on a fixed position.

I recall watching a demonstration of a Mortar platoon, we were stood well back,(being RAF we were not trusted with things that go bang, or are sharp) while a lot of Army guys were shouting instructions and confirming understanding, then ,BBBBOOMMMM, off they all went, and bracketed this target on a slope some way off.  We were impresed. So one of us asked how do they work out, how to hit the target. The SNCO replied it would be difficult in battle to be absolutly accrate, so they used SITFA.    So another asked what that meant,  and with a straight face the said "Somewhere in that flamin area...or words to that effect. LONG before we had GPS.

           With today's DCS update, some CH assets have been added to DCS under the name CH Asset Pack. These assets are from different CH country packages. Will there be a conflict with this update from DCS when all CH packages are already installed? Or what should we do? Is there any problem with having both installed? Thanks again, CH.

Yeah, very curious as to what will happen. My current version has been having no issues so I have not updated for a few updates. I was waiting for this update, but would like some feedback before I do.
