I've bought the update already, but won't be home before next week to download it and give it a try.

So, how is performance, FPS wise, for you guys, let's say compared to the old Normandy map?

For me personally, a touch slower over Paris and London. Other than that, no difference in performance.

Why ED and Ugra Media are so silent? They better say something

Ugra has a good rep with maps. They did a fantastic job on Syria, and added some excellent free expansions.  I'm sure they'll fix what needs to be fixed.

Hi @NineLine,

Thanks so much for the update! In the message, it refers to the following map that does not appear to be included. Any idea where I could find it?

I already own DCS: The Channel. What happens?
DCS: The Channel remains a separate map made by Eagle Dynamics SA and has not been updated regarding this release.

In the corner where there is some map overlap, details between the maps may not match up. See the included map showing the DCS: The Channel map vs the DCS: Normandy 2.0 Map

The included map does not appear to reference the Channel map:

Thanks again!

I will wait, E-Shop spites out Warnings etc..

Once it's cleared I am buying it for 9.99$

Fair price

As mentioned previously, these warnings are "normal" if you had N1 already. If you're on Standalone version of DCS, just ignore them, proceed with the purchase, make sure it's displayed as completed in your account and enjoy the map on next launch of DCS (there will be no extra download).

Only Steam guys seem to be affected by N2 not being "enabled" correctly in the game for now.

Only own the Channel map too. I bought this:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2404030/DCS_Normandy_20_Upgrade_from_The_Channel/

No idea if it's really the enhanced version I'm installing, since module manager only showed "Normandy 1944", not 2.0. Still downloading, we'll see in an hour.

Edit: ok, downloaded the map. It's the low-resolution version. Allthough I have the 2.0 license (after transfer from steam) in my account, the map the module manager installed is clearly the old one.

I'm a bit confused. I have Normandy 1944 - when I go to the store for Normandy 2 it says "you already have a serial number for this product" 🤨

Yep, just a bug. We all got it.

if you ignore and proceed you can still get her.

only issue seems to be if you’re on steam and then it appears it may not be downloading correctly.

but they are working on a solution.

OK, this might help someone.

I own both The Normandy 1944 (from the ED shop) and The Channel (via license transfer from Steam).

Upgraded to today's beta and THEN bought The Normandy 2.0 (disregarded the warning that I already own it at checkout).

There were no additional downloads after the purchase, the game simply started as usual with the previously low-res parts now displayed in high-res.

As you can see, there are only three differences between the two sets of images:

1. I now have three Normandy 2.0 licenses on my account. (Yes, they've renamed my old "Normandy: 1944" license to "Normandy 2.0" before I even got the new map).

2. "Normandy 1944" replaced with "Normandy 2.0" in the Module Manager.

3. The hi-res textures and models.

That done the trick nice one.

Simply fantastic work 👍🏻

What really awesome is that putting out a great product works out for everyone involved because with the generous discounts I’ll be buying several WW2 planes.

Is the sun location / time correct in Normandy 2.0?

I find it hard to believe this is 4:35AM (6th of June 1944)

Could be a time zone issue. Google gives the time of sunrise on that date as 5:49 AM local time in Paris, but that's GMT+2. The map may use GMT.

Little confused. Tried to download and purchase and I get that I already have a license for it.  I currently own both the Channel and Normandy 1944 maps so should be $9.99.

I know. I bought the "Upgrade from Channel" Version , transfered license to standalone. "Normandy 2.0" shows up under account/licenses, but the module manager is only downloading and installing the low-resolution "Normandy 1944" version, not the 2.0 one.
Seems to be some sort of license problem. Sure they'll fix it in the next few days.

I requested a refund on Steam and bought it on the ED website. The 1944 is 2.0 when the license is detected. When I bought it on Steam it appeared as 1944 and after I bought it on the website the name 1944 changed to 2.0 and the textures were in high resolution.
