Arennord Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 (edited) In my opinion, I prefer the patch to be delayed until all the major issues are solved than having something broken that could spoil my gameplay. Just take your time and keep up the good work guys. Hoping to see and enjoy the map! Edited July 4, 2024 by Arennord 7

AvgeekJoe Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 @NineLine, @BIGNEWY thanks to you and the DCS Team for all the updates, outreach and being cautious. I think it's important that DCS World get it right - especially with a MRAP and Afghanistan map in the works, as well as a F-15E radar fix. 4

I wouldn't call it magnanimity, it's just behaving like an adult and understanding that the real world is not perfect. I don't work in software development, but I work as a BIM specialist in construction. Every project can face delays, regardless of the sector you are working on. Sometimes, it's inevitable to reach a major block and that can lead us to postpone the delivery to the customer. It's not something we enjoy, but sometimes, it's just necessary in order to deliver a quality product/project My opinion could be seen as ED simping, but I guarantee you it isn't, it's just maturity, because behind ED, there are real people with real lifes that also like to rest on weekends and enjoy their free time. I'd also like to be enjoying Afghanistan map this weekend, but I can also play other games and do things outside, so I don't care if it takes a couple weeks more to iron the patch as long as it comes out playable and I can enjoy it. Mature adults do what they say they're going to do most of the time. Or, at least they used to.......and people wonder why the world the way it is. 2

Bignewy, July 3: "correct planned for 4th of July now" Do I think this happens too often - maybe... Do I think they deliberately mislead us - definitely not... Responding to your very OT question: The world is the way it is because people have forgotten that society is the actual building block of humanity, and fetishised the individual. Want to see what true individualism divorced from society looks like (?) - watch 'Naked and alone' We have become like ants that at one and the same time expect the benefits of the community, and the right to ignore the community's needs when it suits their individual desires. Our hubris makes us forget that we are each just part of a larger interdependent system, & treat everything and everyone as if they existed only for our exploitation. That is why the world is the way it is. 2 Cheers.
huchanronaa Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 What a tragedy! In order to be launched together with new products, routine updates have been repeatedly delayed again again! Delays can be greatly avoided if routine updates are separated from new product launches

Goetsch Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 Why is it that when I first purchased it on STEAM, it was priced at HK$547.99, but a few minutes later I refreshed the store and found the price changed to HK$430.56 ...... I seem to have overpaid HK$100 What's going on here?

I've asked for a refund through Steam as, although £13.93 isn't a lot, it seems a waste to over pay for something that seems very much "Early Access" and incomplete. Once/if Steam process my refund - I'll purchase at the now correct lower price. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

No map in DCS has ever release finished that I can remember and there were lots of disclaimers floating around stating it wouldn't be finished at release. The trailer has a disclaimer that it is made with different version...or something like that. Welcome to early access. Edited July 11, 2024 by Bingo911 1
