Rick Mave Posted January 16 Posted January 16 According to BN, Ugra Media is working on the Germany map teased in the 2025 and beyond video, so I am very excited to get to know more. Syria has been one of my favourite maps and I am sure that you guys are going to do a great job! 14 3

Reflected Posted January 17 Posted January 17 It would also be nice to know the area covered. 13 Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Furia Posted January 17 Posted January 17 From Berlin to Fulda is more than 400 Km so this should be quite a large map and considering the very dense populated areas and the huge ammount of infrastructure, I am very happy that Ugra is the developer doing this project. Would be nice to have an specific forum section for this terrain. 3 [sIGPIC]http://menorca.infotelecom.es/~raulurbina/ESA/banner_furia.png[/sIGPIC]
TheFreshPrince Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Berlin looked pretty good in the video, nice work so far 6
Cunctator Posted January 17 Posted January 17 My guess would be that Berlin is in the north eastern part of the map, Fulda close to the center and the Frankfurt / Rhein-Main area in the south. In the west all the way to the to French and Belgian border to include the concentration of NATO airbases around the Eifel region. 3

From other post This expands at least to north of Hamburg (Ratzeburg seems to bee identified) and Koblenz, Rhine Area (Mendig Airfield was identified)I think, only missing danube front zone.Enviado desde mi CPH2197 mediante Tapatalk 2 1 For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

If I remember correctly, it was a Dutch AFB the F-15Cs who intercepted the pilot-less MiG-23 took off from, that eventually ended up crashing in Belgium. 2 Spoiler Ryzen 9 5900X | 64GB G.Skill TridentZ 3600 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X570-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 960Pro 1TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero Pro Flight Trainer Puma | VIRPIL MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | Virpil CM3 throttle | Virpil CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | TPR rudder pedals OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings

This would be historically inaccurate, as Lufthansa and any German airline wasn't allowed to service West-Berlin during the cold war. Only in October 1990 after reunification Lufthansa could commence to fly to West-Berlin, yet flew to Tegel, not Tempelhof. Edited January 17 by Rongor 6

Doesn't matter as I've lived in Berlin during Cold War times already and the width of these roads didn't change. The segment shown between Siegessäule and Brandenburger Tor has been this wide since before WW2 as it had been part of the Ost-West-Achse in the infamous Germania layout. You will find cold war pics showing the same width, I only chose recent pics because they are much easier to find. Edited January 17 by Rongor 6 3

Not into an argument, was just curious because someone else here claimed it was an 80s map due to the narrow road. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 5

This Terminal at then Berlin-Schönefeld airport (east German) had been opened in 1976 I think, so the possible time frame is from 1976 to 1989 6
Slippa Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I’m Sqn Ldr Propsalot most of the time. If our dreams are realised we could be flying or escorting Lancs over Germany. Will there be a 40s version? Silly question probably, it’d be criminal to release a map of Germany and leave our props behind. Wouldn’t it. Great news anyhow . 2
Art-J Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) Airliners on Tempelhof don't mean much, but that huge Marx-Engels-Lenin billboard seen on one of the buildings doesn't suggest timeframe beyond 1989. These two tenement houses on Alexanderplatz opposite of Rotes Rathaus aren't there today either (albeit I've no idea when they were demolished). So 1980's it might be indeed.
