A-10C Training Video Available - Start Up

Great video, although it covers a process we have seen before. :)

An observation though - the YouTube notes on the Wags' second video were really useful. It would be really helpful if buttons and gauges would show up their tips when they are highlighted (an option that could be turned off).

It is a lot of better than track system. Finally we have interactive sequences like in Falcon.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Would be nice if instruments that need attention got highlighted for a moment, as the tutor mentions them

btw. AFAIK there is no official Italian translation team, just Spanish, French, German and Russian :(

;980543']Don't you forget about lights?

I noticed too! Atleast on the F-16 the pilot turns on the lights early in the sequence to warn the Crew Chief. I imagine it wouldn't be much different in the A-10?

Hello all,

I was wondering if DCS is going to have an Italian version of the DCS A-10 manual.

If not, I am willing to do the translation in order to put it direcly inside the final product.

I'll do this as I hope to help italian virtual pilots to choose and lern well the new sim. And for pilots of my group first of all.

If someone knows more about it or has contacts, please PM me or email me at VsN.DRAKO@gmail.com

cheers

It looked like when the fan started turning, the virtual joystick was vibrating, or just my imagination?

Nope, that's the modelling of the hydraulic system that does that ;)

Love how you have to 'squelsh' the static on the radios. Beautiful.

Loving the interactive training missions! Reminds me of the Falcon ramp start trainer, only better :)

I also assume there's no real need to watch things like EGT and compressor speeds during engine start?

This is DCS. I suggest you re-consider that assumption.:D

COOL !

This kinda english tutorial will be useful for Black Shark too. Especially with this highlighted box over the switches/buttons ! Maybe with next DCS BS/WH merged patch ? :)

Don't you forget about lights?
The actual training mission includes a step to turn on exterior lights early in the sequence, but unfortunately doing so resulted in a graphical bug in the game build used to record the video, so that step was temporarily removed for the video.

I was wondering what all the commotion was about as I confused the Producers Notes for the Training Guides. I thought you were all jubilating over old news.

The Training Guides look fantastic and should be a real aid in learning such a complex sim.
