I'm surprised you can see anything out the window without labels. I have to be below 5,000AGL and within 3 miles before vehicles even appear as a few tiny pixels. Perfect cannon fodder for AAA.

Nope. I've just never tried that without getting shot down by a MANPAD or slamming into a hill while watching out for MANPADs :lol:

 

Is MERAD/LORAD medium range/long range air defense? I can't seem to find those in my brevity docs.

I found out while shooting down some Ka-27s in combined arms. One of them caught on fire and emergency landed into the water with airbags. That screenshot is posed though. I just set the helicopter with 0 fuel, 0 speed, and minimum altitude so it would land in front of the amphibious vehicle (which can't float). And yes, I basically use Batumi as my default airfield. I wasn't being that creative.

You can do amphibious assaults, all you need is a little imagination. And scripting. .... well.... mostly just scripting. :) Hint: While AI generally won't drive on water when they start on land, they really don't care if they start on water. Protip, don't use CA to control a vehicle on water, it will sink.
