As you know, we've included a special autopilot and weapon systems "hint" display for the Huey. As a reminder, this can be turned on/off in-game by pressing LCTRL+LSHIFT+H or in the OPTIONS > SPECIAL > UH-1H menu.

Do you think we should keep this feature going forward or remove it altogether?

Thank you.

In case you're not sure, this is what we're talking about:

Yes, please keep the autopilot. It's the only way to let your copilot fly the thing while you're busy with other chores ;)

What the boss is referring to here is the yellow text on the screen, not the autopilot itself.

Personally I turned it off as soon as I figured out how.

Removing means the "AI co-pilot" will not be able to fly the huey?

IMO the auto-pilot display could stay but it should be set off by default.

Info about weapon systems can be removed completely.

Could we not just have a small symbol in one corner only when autopilot is on? I don't think we really need info about weapon status at all as you can tell what you are firing by the position of the switches. I've turned it off as it gets in the way for me.

Rename the autopilot as co-pilot instead and make the hint display simpler and smaller.

Not a bad idea, and if the co-pilot dies, the function should not be avialable (if it isnt like that already, I have stayed away from people that shoot at me for now :) )

Remove the weapon systems hints and keep the AP toggleable.

I like it for learning the key combos, which I'm still getting down pat. A smaller font would be nice, though.

And add voice to copilot. when handing off aircraft, there should be "I got it".

Smaller, the current AP display is cluttered and too large.

Famous last words.

Can we also have a random "can I have a go? is it my turn now?" :D I never let my co-pilot fly.

And have it like in the Search and Rescue games where the co-pilot covers his face when he thinks you're about to crash....

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I say keep it too. But defaulting it to 'off' would be ideal.

Yeah renaming to co-pilot is a good idea, maybe even removing for the cheats menu and just allowing it if the co-pilot is alive that would make it more realistic.

I would suggest removing the display as default and let people who want it on put it on in the special options menu? :smilewink:
