HiJack Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Jan Mayen is a nice place to take your Lockheed Martin C-130 for those that fly it ;) http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/67561-scenery-of-jan-mayen-norway-for-fsx-p3d/
Harpoon Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Yep mentioned before, excellent and essential add-on for CV ops. http://vlso.blogspot.ca/ Too bad I suck at it...LOL Also a good place to get your CV feet wet online is here: http://www.fsxcarrierops.com/ (picture) Got my attention. If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public. One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.
Hahnen Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 what tomcat model is this? standard DCSW or mod? Yes, it's Microsoft Flight Simulator X :) www.virtualredarrows.com
joey45 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Probably Dinos Tomcat. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. G00dnight Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 as far as I'm concerned FSX and DCS are two very capable platforms and they are very good at what they do, I think DCS is right to stick with Mil Sim planes & FSX should stick with Civil stuff, the flight dynamics in FSX are ok for airliners but for the other stuff is crap I can do short finals so short I'm turning in over the end of the runway and the planes just settle down like on rails, I have tried the same in DCS and the flight modelling of their planes seems so much more realistic to me. I await all the get out of here ,you are wrong and similar comments but before you flame me just remember what forum you are on. I'm hoping he continues with the F-35 A/B/C variants and adds high end carriers ops like VRS TACPAC and some good weapons employment. Then i'm hoping for FSX@WAR as well eventually. F-35 Dropping Bombs & Firing Missiles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1KMeOpoVNI FSX@WAR (Read the comments) Thxs for the update. Cheers Edited December 5, 2013 by WRAITH
BHawthorne Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 IMHO, his T-45C is one of my favorite to fly in P3D. Excellent freeware. Wish he could port it over to DCS World.
Eight Ball Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Great sales at Razbam :) http://www.razbamsims.com/store/specials.php Edited December 4, 2013 by Eight Ball Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)

I'm interested in flying Dino's T-45. Hi M8, well depends what you want out of any sim Check this Get it here http://www.vrsimulations.com/tacpack.htm Also visit the VRS Forum http://forums.vrsimulations.com/forums/phpBB3/ Then FSX@WAR http://fsxwar.net/index.php?lang=en (USE - Google Translate) Its a WIP and soon to be released as Freeware but coming with Dynamic Campaign and a host of other treats, just browse the net and check out Youtubes to find what you like. So depends what you want personally, I have a mix of commercial aviation add-ons and combat + Scenery and so on FSX is huge on add-ons by community and 3rd party devs so hard to say what is your taste. I suggest load up all the Dino Cattaneo Freeware stuff first http://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.com.au/ Then browse thru this thread till your hearts content http://simviation.com/1/front-page Enjoy  Edited December 5, 2013 by WRAITH
HiJack Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Go for Carrier OPS http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1919207&postcount=241 And if you like good scenery you can google "ORBX FTX Global"
SyntaxError Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Thanks for the replies guys. I think for now I'm gonna start with the T-45C and the USS Nimitz carrier. What I'm most interested in though is better terrain mods but it looks like the big overhauls cost cash so I'll have to scrounge around for free terrain mods for individual areas that I'll fly in. F/A-18C - A-10C - FC3 - L-39C/ZA - Ka-50 - UH-1H - Mi-8MTV2 - F-86F - Spitfire - P-51D - P-47D - BF-109K - CA
Eight Ball Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) +1 Javier's Nimitz is a must have, it's even better than the payware. If you're looking for free scenery don't miss the Grand Canyon : http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/12-ozx-grand-canyon-and-kgcn-holgermesh/ Edited December 5, 2013 by Eight Ball Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)

HiJack Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 VRS just updated the superbug loadout issue. The 1.4.1.3 Superbug installer has been updated to fix an issue with the in-game loadout manager. If you're having issues with the Superbug in-game loadout manager not displaying properly in 1.4.1.3, redownload from the above link.
Winfield_Gold Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 A2A Simulations F4 Phantom I would like to see these guys design modules for the DCS world series. The F4 Phantom that they have not yet released would be sweet if it was converted to DCS Take a look at the following link http://www.friendlyflusi.at/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=15909 their website can be found here http://www.a2asimulations.com Although currently it looks like they only produce modules for FSX I think with enough support from the community. An e-mail could be fired off to them to review and see if converting this aircraft over to DCS would be viable to them.
Revan Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 yeah, it does look really cool DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!! Aircraft: A-10C, Ka-50, UH-1H, MiG-21, F-15C, Su-27, MiG-29, A-10A, Su-25, Su-25T, TF-51
SkateZilla Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Converting 3D Assets and Textures doesnt take long, but remember nothing in FSX Has a Damage Model, so they'd have to create the damaged parts and map them. Outside of that, General SFM and Basic Setup for AI doesnt take that long, The Time Consumption is All The Cockpit/Avionics and Radar Systems, The AFM, and Getting them both to work together. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
sobek Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I would like to see these guys design modules for the DCS world series. You are barking up the wrong tree. It is A2A you need to lobby, not ED. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Winfield_Gold Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) You are barking up the wrong tree. It is A2A you need to lobby, not ED. I have already fired off an e-mail to 3 of the guys over at A2A. I wanted to see the DCS communities opinion of the phantom that A2A were working on. Would have been pointless if most members thought it heap of junk Awaiting a response from A2A now to see if it would be possible or even if they are willing to accept a proposal on having this aircraft made available to this series in the same way VEAO Coretex and others have done with their aircraft This is a direct quote from A2A's Website: Lastly, with this very high end product line, A2A Simulations opened a budget line “Aircraft Factory” which allows A2A Simulations to release solid quality aircraft that the public wants at a lower price. Yes they are solid quality aircraft, but as these are available in the Microsoft Flight series, hopefully there is chance these guys might also look into the DCS series as a 3rd party developer Edited December 19, 2013 by Winfield_Gold
Lostaviator Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Yes the Phantom would be a great addition to DCS
