The rationale I perceive from this is that similar functions between different objects share a single (Code)Function. So there is one section of code somewhere that defines the EOS (MiG standard), all jets adhere to it equally. Anything they fix or break could be expected to work across the board to reduce testing. So a quicker fix than implementing new code for the Su-27 specifically. I kinda suspected the same sort of thing when all the A-A missiles were broken.

"The EOS in FC3 is based on the MiG-29 that does not include an elevation adjustment function."

I'm curious, is this a temporary 'feature'?

Great change log thus far! I'm OVERLY excited, And by that I mean SUPER excited to see what changes come to the UH-1H, Evil has teased a few things on the forums lately, Sadly even holding back some good news waiting on their website to be finished.

But what has been hinted at is what I'm looking forward to the most. And I believe if I read things correctly most if not all will be coming next patch. (This one).

I only hope that's still true!

No, but that wasnt the focus of this change.

What I was mostly getting at, is loadout changes concerning AG ordinance for non-flyable (AI) craft are so transparent they're almost novel. Only one of those jets are known to be becoming a module. Yet it seems to entice speculative posts about the others, unless...

The changes to the F-15E and F-16s alone will allow them to do what they are supposed to do in missions with realistic and accurate load outs.

Even if they aren't Future Modules,

Making their load outs realistic so mission designers use them properly by equipping them with proper load outs.

You are reading too much into it

These changes give the mission builder the ability to task AI aircraft with a more realistic payload. Its not some hint or tease at future modules... I wish... but not at all. Simply making DCS a better simulation.

As a side note, a dev can fart and someone starts to speculate about a new modules... so there is that...

A lot of changes. Nice :)

I only regret there is no radar for ground units for CA... bu t at least there is engine smoke. Hunting for poor MiGs time to start :D

I hope that patch will bring FPS back to 1.2.5 state and before.

  • CBU-87/103. Decreased the count of graphic effects for improving FPS.

This. Were those effects decreased because in real life this bomb is not so hmmm "hollywoody style" or just to get more FPS by the cost of real-bomb look? If the second we have treatment of wound not the cause of illness :)

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

There is a long list of wants and needs, but ED cant address everything at one time. There is a lot I would like to have, but I know will have to wait. FFB is one also, but I am aware that other things are higher on the radar at the moment. Keep in mind that the change log is preliminary, ED has a small staff trying to address the list. We just have to exercise some patience. :)

I just want my force fedback effects back.

It was since P-51 relase up to 1.2.5 version.

For unkown reason from version 1.2.6.XXX it has gone. I dont understand whats stop ED to bring it back?

I just quit playing P-51 beacasue of that. I don't play any other DCS planes just interesting in P-51 which is not playable for me actually.

I paid a lot of money for it and now i dont play it beacause of these bug.

Moreover there is no single word about these problem from ED?

How could i have more patience if there were several updates and still not these bug fix?

Now is coming another update and probably we will not get these bug fix.

Remember, EDGE will change some of this I think, so it may very well be a bandaid to get us over the hump, but I am only speculating, its possible that the effects just needed a clean up anyways...

My "unless" part was more or less a joke, as someone else was doing the speculating some pages back. Like in the case of the F-16s and F-15Es the loadouts are seemingly incomplete more so than unrealistic. Which ever is more accurate to describe the loadouts, how much does it help mission builders when there is still a particularly high probably of AI failing at the task anyway. I actually try to work my way through the F-15 campaign missions on occasion, just to be absolutely frustrated by the AI not getting their rounds on target.

Even change is subject to change? Your "speculation" sounds quite plausible.

Please, more change is always welcome.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they've got planned for Combined Arms. I noticed there's nothing on the docket (yet) about that... but I suspect they must have some changes inbound.

ED,

Just want to say thanks for the Patch and the hard work it appears we are fixing the some big issues, helping the mission designers so more missions will be available and still working on the stuff for the future.

looking forward to putting this patch in and helping in finding any instability in MP. I say keep up the great work, enjoy the holidays.

thanks

The reworked Dynamic Launch Zone of SAM units actually sounds pretty interesting. Sounds like something that could have to do with a new targeting system.

I like this changelog. :)

After a period of silence, and some rather unpleasant news (no EDGE this year, and no MiG either), something positive at last.

Thanks ED, and let there be as few bugs as possible. :)
