Agreed. This is why I own FC3, not that there is anything wrong with the other aircraft but... ;)

Same - I bought FC3 for the Eagle because I live 10 minutes away from RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, England and I watch them all the time.... then hop on DCS and recreate what they do, sad I know :music_whistling:

That's not sad, that's fun.

I know exactly what to fill in those dots. I just cannot go back to SFM after ED gave us the taste of their AFM in FC Frogfoot. In fact, I couldn't and still can't get into any other sim since. Fast mover AFM ought to be called a widower maker. :D I'm getting a divorce fo sure. haha

Exactly. :) One sunny morning long, long time ago I drove past Van Nuys airport, and there they were on the taxi way. Two F-15s waiting to take off. Man, I hit that brake like a man possessed and ran with my claws extended. No one gonna peel leafer off that fence. lol That sound! Those pilot if they saw me probably laughed their asses off. Awesome!

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Exciting news. The AFM updates for eagle and flanker (1st love) (2nd is the warthog :p)... ranks higher than EDGE development for me. I hope ED updates us on the flanker as well. It will be very very interesting to see how the "full fuselage aerodynamics" of the flanker will work.... using the airframe undersurface as a giant massive air brake.. namely the cobra... I am really looking forward to see how using physics equations, Dima can work his magic to simulate organically in DCS Flanker.

Great! i can't wait! (:

I hope Nose wheel steering will be modeled in FC3, before the full high fidelity DCS F-15C in the future.

And i hope all FC3 aircraft will get the option to assign brakes on axis, and a modeled nose wheel steering.

Thx!

According to one of ED facebook comments, the cobra maneuver is already possible without scripting.

Could be wrong, but in the interest of simplifying matters, I'm defining "AFM" as the real deal flight/physics model, no different than the A10C, the Ka-50, and the P51D. And since I love acronyms so much, I'm inventing a new one:

AAM

Advanced Aircraft Model: In addition to the AFM, all avionics and subsystems are implemented and available to the user via a fully rendered 3D cockpit with 6 DOF view system.

AAM Modules currently available:

  • Kamov Ka-50 Blackshark
  • A10C Warthog
  • P51D Mustang
  • UH-1H Huey
  • Mi-8 Magnificent Eight

AAM Modules currently in development:

  • BF-109
  • ME-262
  • P-47
  • Spitfire

Just want to be absolutely clear...

Will there ever (I don't care when, just if) be a "full version" (read: A-10C/Black Shark/Mustang level of detail/avionics/operation, etc.) of the F-15? :joystick:

Yes, or No only, please, from an "authority" if possible... :music_whistling:

I already own FC3, so that's not the question...

It's a good bet that you will see a DCS-Level study sim for the F-15C in the future. It is probably a good ways off.

Overload Warning System

is that the system which tells/warns you: over-g, over-g, over-g ? :)

and i hope that team will add/correct the intake+diffuser ramps and nozzle animations whit real squealing/whimpering noises for both when works
