danilop Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Because 1.2.7 final will completely replace 1.2.6? 1.2.6 is obsolete and irrelevant basically. You need to keep it because that is the version which will get 1.2.7 final update, you will not be able to update 1.2.7 beta to full status, IIRC.
ED Team NineLine Posted December 19, 2013 ED Team Posted December 19, 2013 It's great, finally step forward to fix the multiplayer crashes, and lot more. but why reporting only 1.2.7 bugs and not fixing 1.2.6 bugs too? Thx If you know of a bug in 1.2.6 see if you can reproduce it in 1.2.7, if you can, report it. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

SkateZilla Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Well, I Finished Installing sometime around 2AM EST, Started it around 7PM EST, Stopped it around 9PM EST (Had to shutdown until about 1AM as I Wasnt home and I Didnt wanna leave it running). It never copied Local files that I saw, it downloaded 4GB before I had to stop it, then another 8GB when I resumed. Never saw the option, and I have a few DCS Installs, reg Points to the Main One in the default folder. Downloaded about 12GB Total, shrug, my ISP will prolly boot my Modem MAC today until I call them again, lol. sslechta Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I wonder if the beta install got confused on what your 1.2.6 install was? It should have been copying most of that locally instead of download. Good Luck getting that worked out. They booted me a few weeks back when I downloaded ESO on 2 different PCs (about 32GB Total in a few hours). Considering my Package I pay for has no limits on Bandwidth or data, I shouldn’t have to deal with it, but Every time I Download Large Amounts in a few hours they always do it, Then they deny it when I call them to ask why my modem was kicked off line, they give the excuse that I must have a bad signal, Yet I can clearly see in the Modem’s Logs that My MAC was booted by their Admin Service, and When it tries to re-connect the logs says My IP was Suspended by DHCP... Lol… Call them, ask, get an excuse, Hang Up phone and boom, data resumes being sent, modem never reboots, Modem Re-connects to Server and IP is Renewed by DHCP Server. First thing I Do with I Get home is start setting up DCS 1.2.7, From what I Gather, I have to re-do controls and Screen setup from scratch, after I Make sure all my modules imported correctly. Mustang Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 For those seeing the microstuttering there seems to be some problem residing in the background of DCS, clicking and holding either left or right mouse button down removes the stutter completely, hopefully ED devs can nail this and fix soon.

bart Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) The module manager has detected all my modules (CA, FC3 BS2,UH-1) except for A-10c. The only cause I can think of is that I purchased A-10c on DVD and all the others from the DCS shop. Is it a known issue that the open beta module manager can't detect modules not bought from the DCS shop? Apologies if I'm missing something obvious, I've never used the module manager before as I always download the installers. Well. I'm currently downloading the Beta and will have a go at the Module Manager thing when it's done, but I may be in the same boat here as I only have A10-C module and I originally got this on a disc as a stand alone program but later upgraded it all to DCS world and the latest A10-C module. I never had any probs with this so far but I guess I will find out when the download has completed. I do know that the A10-C module is obviously registered to me on the DCS site but it isn't in the module manager as I didn't purchase it from the site, it was on the disc. Can anyone confirm this will still work and it will download the module or am I wasting time with the Beta as I wont be able to run anything on it!!!! UPDATE...... it's working ok. Downloading the A10-C module now. Are these stutters only while in cockpit or external also? I noticed a drop in frames doing fly bys(F3) key. Because the installation was new, clean and I basically applied new graphic setting, I was wondering if it was due to them being too high. My intent is to go back into 1.2.6 and make sure I have the same setup for 1.2.7 first before I call foul. :) I am just curious about the occurrences. fearlessfrog Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) Just got a 12MB update via Steam this morning (in the open beta channel), on starting it reinstalled the VCDIST packages. Version number is 1.2.7.22014 (didn't check what the one yesterday was though), so perhaps just a Steam client thing. Edit: Yep, only files changed/downloaded were the vcredist2012 package from the common valve redist. No worries :) Edited December 19, 2013 by fearlessfrog ~~~ http://www.mudspike.com
