DCS MiG-29A Screenshots and Videos Thread
AeriaGloria replied to MiGCap1's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
My video of test results on the ranges of the IRST against American fighters and helicopters, it has look down penalty and clouds will block it so much better modeled then FC3. I also include the seeker ranges of our best Fox 2 missiles and some COOP tricks such as -Radar ranging an IRST lock and locking radar on them -Radar COOP where IRST will pick up lost radar lock if it can, allowing you to keep track in say a notch and allow IRST to keep guiding a previously fired R-27R/ER -How to IFF from an IRST lock my Many thanks to Gman for helping me figure out the exact IFF sequence and radar locking! -
What’s the recommended usecase? Locking radar on a head on IRST lock?
 -
Is it because of insufficient thrust or insufficient lift? Can you also try K quality test and climb test?

Viggen starting heading 180 degrees out?

I'll give that a go later today. My thanks for the suggestion. Seems a bit of an odd "fix", but hey, we're talking about IT. -

+1 vote, I have been looking forward to this feature for a long time!

Viggen starting heading 180 degrees out?
Gretsch_Man replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in Orbx Simulation Systems
Yep, it's not just you. It happened to me too, but only starting today (yesterday was still fine). But I found an easy fix: I just deleted all my fxo and metashaders2 data and presto! You should give it a try. -

Несколько раз видел, здесь же на форуме, мнение от летавших, что ближний бой в ДКС ничего общего с реальностью не имеет. А потом мы обсуждаем "игра-не игра". Истина, как всегда, где-то посередине.

BIGNEWY replied to Kah0tika's topic in Weapon Bugs
Hi, you are using the default airburst altitude of 300 ft, which is insufficient for proper dispersion with the FMU-140 fuze. You should use at least 1,500 ft airburst for armour penetration to be successful. Hope that helps- 1 reply

Will they be able to work without the WWII pack in the future? and will the A 22 have a more believable sound? Let's say like the Yak 52 -

Vakarian replied to Bowie's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
In the end, it's all personal preference. We all sit at different distances/heights to the screen, screens are of different resolutions and sizes... That why there are settings to fine tune it to your own liking. What's good for me, likely isn't good for a lot of you. Same goes in the other way. If someone has problems, post what's bothering you and ask for advice. -

				Not getting the dynamic debrief.
deltatango replied to deltatango's topic in F-4E Red Flag 81-2 Campaign
The after landing checklist is complete. I do all these steps and get the big "Mission complete" splash across the screen. I think the problem is with me not switching the engine master switches off. Just saying above that that checklist isn't in the campaign. The checklists end here: null -

cannot reproduce Different sounds between engine 1 and 2 when Idle/AB
Cgjunk2 replied to TheGoose's topic in Bugs and Problems
Phasing effects happen in real life with multi-engine aircraft, so there shouldn’t really be any reason to want to eliminate the possibility of that occurring in a simulation. It’s natural consequence of having two identical engines turning at nearly the same speed. The phasing harmonics go away easily by simply running them at exactly the same speed. In any case, it basically sounds like part of the sounds are missing on the right engine. Not sure why this thread is marked as “cannot reproduce”, unless only some of us are experiencing engine sound differences, but others are not. If that’s the case, I’d like to find out how to fix it. -

You are not alone. Here is another thread, (pointing to a third one.) -
Generally I just use Quaggles to strongarm the binds in. https://github.com/Quaggles/dcs-input-command-injector?tab=readme-ov-file
 -
That sounds like a pretty good average (like 600 MB/s which is like half of the theoretical throughput) with no slowdowns, I stand corrected then. My pessimistic stance was based on some aluminum USB enclosure sourced from ali with a terrible HDD controller which would periodically get overwhelmed and then the transfer speed would just go down to a zero for a while.
