Hi bandit648 ! First of all, thank you for this great mod witch permits splendid atmosphere and game-play !!! I use it as much as possible during multiplayer missions. But I'm facing a little problem: Some player does not have it installed and do not want to loose time before we start as it is not mandatory. What happen, for example is that mod user are in the clouds and the other in a sunny day. Is there a way to detect if the mod is installed through a script or a piece of lua code ? If not would it be possible that if the mod is not installed it uses a dcs preset similar/close to the mod preset ?

Mission1 coms issue...when I am RTB, all tasks accomplished, I am told to contact arrival, i switch to the preset, nothing, continue flying, told to contact approach, switch to preset, nothing, eventually told to contact tower, nothing, I land, told to contact ground, nothing. Basically I am not hearing any voice on the different preselects on RTB. I land and only get a 50 for the mission and a draw, when all tasks have been completed. What am I missing? Thanks

The Tu-95 with all its different versions has always been primarily a strategic missile truck, rather than a conventional bomb-hauler. As you mention, an older version would be carrying the Kh-20 (nuclear) or Kh-22 (nuclear or conventional), but that's pretty much it (if we don't count the free-fall nuclear bombs). So, the Kh-22 would more or less be the only reasonable addition.

hi ! it's been a some time now that the vr mode existing in dcs but the glove and the scene of the home menu of the game don't change since it. diffèrent type and color of glove sélectionnable by user, and diffèrent scenes of the home menu of the game when we are in vr mode it will be great for more personalization ;)

I missed that "when" and interpreted as a command from the instructor. Thanks for clarifying. It happened to me once, during CQ M09. Flew the mission a second time and it was OK

Yep, that's pretty accurate. 150m is less than half the 425m RED. So the fragmentation should incapacitate/render the majority of the site unusable, at least you would need to fix a lot of damage. As I pointed out above, currently the fragmentation is "faked" by blast damage, which is not perfect. Blast wave travels faster than fragmentation does. But actually DCS bomb damage felt like a joke, compared to real life, before. The adjustment definitely needs fine tuning, fragmentation calculated and in a perfect world even blast wave accumulation and reflection on objects, including over- and underpressure effects, but at least we now have bombs that can destroy/collapse buildings and do damage to vehicles without a direct hit! I am not sure if it's still linked on the GICHD site, but there was a nice damage area and damage distribution simulation linked, where you could see the distances on a simulated village. Also the document I linked, is really worth reading, especially the part of damage and casualty rates in urban areas (as secondary fragmentation increases the actual damage to people and unarmored/light armored vehicles). At least I hope there's an interest in understanding the real life effects and distances, with exactly the problems for weapon employment under ROE, which led to the development of low collateral damage weapons like the BLU-39 or BLU-129/B. -

Hi Thanks a lot for replying to me. I have gone back and looked at the track, and I surprisingly noticed that the plane was actually flying over a piece of land. However, what I could see was water, water, everywhere. Now I know the issue could be a VR-related issue. However, I own many maps , for example : Syria , Sinai , Nevada .... , only Cold War Germany is doing this to me . I have tried different headsets, and what I can see is that the same issue happens in the same location . When a map is totally strange to you, you just do not know if the place should be a piece of land or a big lake. a 19th of aug..trk dcs.log.old

Thanks for a great Campaing Jonathan! I really enjoyed playing it. Good variety of different weapons forced to learn use them all. While I am early in my learning cure this was a good fit. Only time I really got frustrated was when I ran out of fuel 10 km before Kallax after doing too long afterburner run to evade Migs. I really appreacieate your effors JLean p.s. You got me to write my first post here -
I mean during my time in 2008 there was more rain than snow where I was. The Korengal and some other mountains got snow, but nothing significant at my FOB.

Wanna try? Open ground, no cover. I wouldn't recommend it! Even with eye protection, helmet and body armor... real life is different than computer games. -
