  2. Не согласен с вами. Сейчас перепрохожу кампанию и музыка мне нравится. В спокойные моменты - эмбиентная, в напряжённые моменты - боевая. Сами композиции приятны слуху. Да и кампания в целом понравилась ещё в первое прохождение несколько лет назад. С косячками и сложностями в прохождении из-за недопонимания местами что нужно делать, но это пока не разберешься. Она да, сильно "художественная", в этом её изюминка. Есть кампании (весеннее обострение та же) сюжет которых можно назвать "документальным фильмом", то эта кампания - "приключенческий сериал" по мотивам).

  5. I found what the issue is. This is because of vjoy ffb settings. You have to disable ffb of your vjoy devices, as with it on it could cause issues. Not always, I had that on for months or years without issues and suddenly I have problems.

In my opinion, a small part of the "problem" is the variants that are chosen to model, as complex computer systems, avionics and control logics dominate the current roster (versus older versions that might just be "make the thing and go"). While that's a gross oversimplification, there's always going to be the age-old caveat of obtaining public data, reading it, and translating it to script for the virtual environment.

There isn't much out on web about using a NAS to run DCS server, so this is likely something fairly new.
  10. We are trying something new with bug listing...because honestly, the Mantis Bug Tracker isn't great for us. For your viewing, we are sharing a google document with a list of bugs that we acknowledged on this forum as being looked at in some form. Our goal is to simply show in Orange highlight, that the bug and/or request has be fixed and/or implemented on our personal test build. And then highlighted green when our testers have confirmed it, to which then we will upload the fixes/requests to Eagle Dynamic's servers for further testing. This document, may evolve into a spreadsheet, but as requested by the Devs, it's in a doc for now.   11. You are right, the thunder game has better IR missile simulation, for now at least. Even though the early missiles are pretty easy to defeat, with 4 to 6 puff of flares almost every missile from B to P5 can be defeated in rear aspect as shown in the attached tracks. Again, pay attention to motor heat outuput and the missile fov and try to flood it with flares, is not just like rolling a dice it has other variables taken into account AIM9 B.trk AIM9 J.trk AIM9 P.trk AIM9 P3.trk
  12. I use Track IR with it and it works pretty well. I play in 4K and with the OLED, lighting looks very realistic in nighttime missions. Only issues I’ve had with the Track IR is if I wasn’t aware of reflective material on my shirt and it goes haywire. I sit back about 5 feet from the TV Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Its been few years since this post but I'd like to add to it because I am seeing stuttering when radio messages are being played (from wingman or ATC). I have pretty good PC (AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX5090, 64GB of RAM, Win11, and for sound I use 2 sound outputs, for in game world sounds its Asus Xonar AE 7.1 and for in game comms I use generic stereo USB sound card with HyperX Cloud III headset/mic) with which I can run stable 120 fps on max settings & mirrors (it does dip to ~100 fps over large cities with mirrors on, without them still can manage 120 fps) and I have tried in DCS Audio settings 5.1 and Stereo, both do the same (give this stutter when radio message is played) I am guessing its because the sound files are being loaded from hard drive (as hard drives I use 1TB M.2 NVMe for Win11 & 2TB M.2 NVMe for DCS), and if so, anything I can do to get rid of this stutter. Without this stutter on sound files loading, DCS runs butter smooth at 120 fps.

  19. For what it is worth, the following is one-person's opinion (not mine, although I concur) from the Shiftall Discord regarding the MeganeX8K Vr headset. The MGX has overcome some initial criticisms that generated negative press at its release and is worth considering, if one's budget allows. This is not to imply the MGX is perfect -- no current headset is. "Let me tell you something, this is BEYOND my expectations! Honestly, I’ve got her dialled in and not one single thing about this headset disappoints me! Hand on heart, I swear to god it’s absolutely incredible, the lightweight feel, the perfect clarity, the binocular overlap that’s just crazy like wtf, the colours are magical and pop like crazy. I can't believe how easy it is to just get straight into a game. I’ve even got a little remote for the power extension that the hub’s plugged into, so I hit a button, VR loads, start steamVR and bosh and I’m straight in. Compared to the Q3 it’s a joke how easy this is. I’m not messing with the oculus debug tool anymore, not changing FOV tangent multipliers, pixel-per-display overrides, or disabling ASW every time the Meta app boots or loses connection. That was a headache and a half. And the strap… honestly, I don’t get the fuss. I’ve never worn anything so comfortable, it just works perfectly with the headset and the movement feels so natural. This is just my opinion after dialing in from a sim racing perspective, and I’ve only used the Q2 and Q3 before, so I don’t have loads to compare it to. But my experience has been flawless. I’m ecstatic I took the risk because the precision you get from this is ridiculous, the adrenaline is unreal, and I swear I drive like a god now. For me it’s a solid 10/10, no flaws at all for what I use it for."

  24. Would it help if you could press a button (my preference) or use a voice attack verbal command that would read the rudder position and apply trim to reset your rudder control to neutral? I remember when flying a helicopter a long time ago that it had a button to re-center the cyclic stick from a displaced position. ChatGPT can assist ... . We can definitely set this up so you can fly the F4U-1D Corsair in DCS without needing constant rudder pedal work. Essentially, we’ll create a VoiceAttack command that: Reads the rudder position (from your twist grip). Converts that into rudder trim. Centers the rudder input, leaving the trim holding the yaw. How It Works VoiceAttack can talk to DCS through the Export.lua API. We’ll grab the rudder value via LoGetControlInput(). Then, VoiceAttack will issue rudder trim left/right keypresses until the trim ≈ rudder. Finally, you let go of the twist grip — and the trim keeps the aircraft straight. 1. Export.lua addition Put this in your Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua (or merge with what’s already there): -- Rudder Capture Function function ExportRudderPosition() local ci = LoGetControlInput() if ci then return string.format("%.3f", ci.rudder) else return "0" end end -- Make it callable by VoiceAttack function LuaExportActivityNextEvent(t) -- existing code... end (We’ll wire this to VoiceAttack via VAICOM or your existing export mechanism — if you don’t have that, I can show you a minimal TCP/UDP bridge.)
