Hi, Thank you for the info and I tried to get this to be the best thing since the earth was created but I could not. Firstly, I very keen to know if you had the same issues with Windows 11 holding the DDI screen position from each reboot. Mine never did despite a reinstall of Windows 11. This has been the reason for using a stabilizing program Display Fusion ,to stitch the position despite a wayward Windows operating system. Then of course, as you are aware Simm app Pro has its say on positioning. Then the Re shade program to enhance the poor output quality of the DDI screens. It all works but is delicate, and if you try and alter anything, say resolution or refresh, then dont expect anything else other than a reboot from scratch to rectify it. My experience limited though it was did not give the sharp instrument displays the clarity one gets in normal 2D. So in the end back onto eBay it all went. Currently, my problem is despite trying to get a refresh rate of 100 on my Coursair Xnen screen ( capable of 240 hz) I cannot get it to settle other than 6-hz. I have tried doing this via Windows Dipslay , Nvidia Panel, but it reverts to 60 every time. I have all my settings at MAX / EXTREME etc, and the picture quality is stunning with no jags or delays except when pulling 9 G in a banked turn the DDI lines chatter a bit, but as soon as I level its normal. I am not the least bit worried about this as I am not looking at the instruments but out of the window trying to locate my enemy ! Thats my experience but am willing to listen and evaluate from people like you who have the same set up as me as a basis because the DDI and UFC set up has to be used to be seen to never think of clicking a mouse on a screen ever again unless you have to. I can set up my screens in 2 minutes as my fingers fly acroos the buttons in a very practised manner now.

Unlike the Hellcat, Corsair didn't feature a hook which could slide out of the fuselage, it was part of tail wheel assembly and could only pivot up and down. Thus, with gear up it is physically impossible to lower the hook because tailwheel doors are closed (plus, I think wheel strut might be in the way, I'd have to check the drawings to confirm).

@SKYWARRIOR, I just checked this thread and noticed your questions few weeks back on mixed reality setup with WinWing gear. I have similar setup myself, and I've managed to make mixed reality to work with Meta Quest 3 and WinWing MIP panels + other panels very well. In my view, Quest 3 passthrough is good enough, it is possible to use and and operate the MIP panels with passthrough functionality. There are bunch of steps to take when configuring the system and needed SW, but once that part is done, using the system is really straightforward. Also, Quest 3 is very stable platform together with Virtual Desktop, works pretty much every single time. If interested, I can provide instructions how to setup similar system. I just received new Play for Dream MR headset, I'm now trying to make that work in my system as well. That project is far from finished, but the same generic approach can also be applied with that. However, PFD is much pickier to Wi-Fi quality and decoding takes more time among other things, so definitively Meta Quest 3 is more polished and easier to work with for MR scenarios. Anyway, let's see how my current PFD project proceeds!

I can try, but I have seen people do climb tests that turned out almost exactly perfect to the manual. I did many tests for climbing for my BVR climb profile video, and I can say it always climbed with enough time to match manual and only the smallest amount of extra fuel use. I have a feeling another cause of this behavior when it comes to instantaneous turn not sustained, is the damper. It does not “relax” when you give stick input like American CAS systems, so it is always resisting a turn. I know the damper changes reaction level based on altitude, Mach number, AOA, perhaps it needs a little tuning to be less aggressive at this speed and altitude. That of course wouldn’t solve sustained turn rate, but IMO that seems closer than instantaneous turn rate anyways. I guess as a bandaid you could even tune it just for this AOA/Speed/altitude region. The MiG-29 does have increasing stability until 15 degrees AOA, and it definitely feels like it might be too stable in this region that the elevator doesn’t have the leverage needed.

CWGNTS is currently in a night flying phase during main European evening times, and cooperating with other pilots and controllers, just yesterday 1./JG71 had a great night intercept training exercise where two independent F-4F flights were vectored onto a simulated target flown by a pilot in an F-5E out of Ramstein. Fighter control was provided by CRC LONESHIP, while full ATC support was provided for Buechel (Tower, Radar, PAR) and Ramstein (Tower), and area control was provided by Frankfurt Radar. A great flying and controlling experience for everyone involved! An F-4F of 1./JG71, callsign "HG17", departing Buchel AB IFR for the night intercept exercise. Radar scope of Frankfurt Radar during the exercise. The CWGNTS community continues to invite like-minded squadrons and lone-wolf pilots to join the interesting challenge of flying "as real as it gets" in a realistic airspace and ATC environment and find their virtual homebase in Cold War Germany on our 24/7 server to fly your own training missions or combined exercises with other squadrons. Send a PM if you are interested in joining us.

I know, I just love IRST so much You Ural Optical Geofizika factory…… had to use PbSe instead of InSb so MiG-29 could be cheap It is interesting how OLS-27 is better in everyway, I wonder if it was not fully developed by Geofizika until a few years after KOLS. Twice the gimbal limit, better sensor material, identical search zones and behavior to radar, horizon stabilization. It’s interesting that Su-27 has no COOP mode it’s just always cooperating radar and IRST. No way to turn off quasi ranging, and Anytime you have IRST lock within 15 km front aspect the radar is always locked. Within 35 km for rear aspect. So in some ways, MiG-29 actually allows you to use IRST in a more “silent” way with less RWR warning until you get within laser range, vs 15/35 km lock and forced radar ranging above that for Su-27. Not to mention Sukhoi got its HUD to do everything the radar HUD does, aspect arrow, target marker highlight, target speed/alt, whereas In MiG-29 we just get a single gimbal limit circle so we can just focus on killing!

my TRP Pedals have gone completely crazy

You have double bindings. Check the controls. -
Thank you for the report and tracks. It does seem something isn't right on the last pair and we have asked the team to check it.

Hi everyone! I have Thrustmaster’s Dual Throttle, F/A-18 stick, and TRP Pedals. Everything works perfectly on my old computer. But on my new computer, the pedals have gone completely crazy. When I press the left pedal, it triggers Throttle Forward. The right pedal controls Throttle Backwards. Left pedal brake moves the Yoke forward/backward. Right pedal brake moves the Yoke left/right. That makes it really hard to fly... I can’t find any strange bindings in the control settings. I’ve also tried resetting my bindings, reinstalling drivers, and recalibrating everything. I have no idea what to do. Help! /Mats

The MiG-21 in DCS has its own RSBN system hard-coded into the plane, and the channels differ from the maps' own system. Use the channels provided on the little placard in the cockpit, not the ones given by F10 map.

	You can start creating the db_airbase table using the RunwayLife table in the temporary end-of-mission file: camp_status. However, it is not necessary to include all the bases. You can start with 10 on each side, for example, which will give you an overview. ["RunwayLife"] = { [1] = { ["baseObject"] = { ["id_"] = 5000002, }, ["life"] = 3600, ["life0"] = 3600, ["name"] = "Banak", ["pointVec3"] = { ["x"] = 233623.484375, ["y"] = 5.2753481864929, ["z"] = 88526.1171875, }, }, [2] = { ["baseObject"] = { ["id_"] = 5000004, }, ["life"] = 3600, ["life0"] = 3600, ["name"] = "Rovaniemi", ["pointVec3"] = { ["x"] = -151314.21875, ["y"] = 186.5428314209, ["z"] = 152281.609375, }, }, [3] = { ["baseObject"] = { ["id_"] = 5000006, }, ["life"] = 3600, ["life0"] = 3600, ["name"] = "Kemi Tornio",

22 Years after introduction only on modernised G and PL variant, which doesn't exist in DCS. Americans demand we learn imperial units, yet they don't bother learning SI units, which objectively make more sense.
