Can you roll back to Caucasus before the update? Unplayable in VR...

I fly many different maps, I did delete fxo/meta from time to time, but I've never noticed any difference with old fxo/meta and after deleting. However, I've noticed for the first time frame drop on Caucasus to the point, that Syria runs much better in VR, without any tree flickering -
Nice, thanks DP, I'll give that a try. I've just been watching Top Guns: The Next Generation and it inspired me to give mod this a try!

Some action on the CWGNTS: 1./JG71 had two different flights in the air today, and we had excellent ATC support on the server alongside. HG10 was a two-ship practicing Maverick and Gun employment on the Baumholder Range in ED-R1, while the three-ship HG13 went into the TRA205 to practice 2v1 ACM. Concidentally, all aircraft met at their homebase, which was an interesting sight to see five aircraft at once in the pattern. HG13 flight departing Buechel RWY03 as seen from the cockpit of HG10A. We are continuing to offer milsim squadrons and lone wolf pilots a virtual homebase to fly and practice on the CWGNTS and become a member of a community of pilots and ATC to create a living and breathing military air traffic network. Die 1./JG71 fliegt weiterhin regelmäßig Montags und Donnerstags ab 19:45 Uhr auf dem geschwadereigenen Server, den wir zum "Cold War Germany NATO Training Server (CWGNTS)" als Kooperationsangebot an die Community ausgebaut haben. Heute hatten wir auf dem CWGNTS fünf staffeleigene Flugzeuge in zwei Flights in der Luft, und dazu freundliche und kompetente ATC-Unterstützung von außerhalb. Während die two-ship HG10 in die ED-R1 (mit aktivierter ZSU-23 als Feinddarstellung) für AGM-65B und gun employment flog, ging die three-ship HG13 in die TRA 205, um 2v1 ACM zu üben. Eher zufällig kamen beide Flights dann zur gleichen Zeit im Pattern an unserer Homebase an, sodass es zeitweilig voll wurde mit vielen Flugzeugen in der Platzrunde, was unseren Towerlotsen aber nicht aus der Ruhe bringen konnte. Anbei eine kleine Impression vom heutigen Flugabend: HG13 flight departing Büchel RWY03 Die 1./JG71 ist weiterhin offen für neue Mitflieger, die Interesse an realitätsnahem Übungsflugbetrieb einer F-4 Jagdstaffel der Luftwaffe in den 1980er Jahren hat. Wir werden dazu in naher Zukunft unsere "Zentrale Ausbildungseinrichtung (ZAE)" an die Staffel angliedern und Rookies im aktiven Flugbetrieb vom Backseat aus an die Hand nehmen, um ihnen die wichtigsten fliegertheoretischen und -praktischen Aspekte unseres Flugbetriebes effektiv und realitätsnah vermitteln zu können. Wir arbeiten derzeit an einem komprimierten Syllabus und der Qualifikation der "Instructor Pilots (IPs)", mehr dazu in Kürze. Wenn Du Interesse hast und bereit bist, etwas Zeit und Engagement in Deine fliegerische Ausbildung und das Hobby Flugsimulationzu stecken, um nicht irgendwie nur ein bißchen rumzudaddeln, sondern möglichst realitätsnah und professionell zu fliegen, dann tritt gerne in Kontakt mit uns und schreib uns eine PN. -

Not sure what that means, but whatever works for you! With the Sidewinder you can move the stick to any position and then just let it go, and it will stay there (provided you haven't covered the sensor) since it only applies return to center forces when the sensor is covered. Not something I use often, but it can be useful as a sort of defacto auto trimmer in certain circumstances. You can just put the joystick into the position you want it to hold, and release quickly. It's a feature very unique to the Sidewinder, and again, I've had this particular joystick for over 25 years. I'm very used to everything it can do.

Then dodged a Fox 1, then a Fox 2. Before shooting down the second M2000. Oddly enough, my east German wingman insisted on only speaking in Russian. -
Too many active units on the server for your server? try to take a look at your RAM usage while playing. It may happens that if server has some bad coding, scripts, or simple too many units Other servers run smooth? based on my expirience, the only thing that you can eventually try to improve on your side, is put 64GB of RAM, that despite is useless on most of the game, they play a big role in DCS multiplayer Fly Safe!

Deactivate the clock below, you have activated the 2025 vehicle group. It probably requires historic vehicles. If the clock is deactivated, the RSBN vehicle will appear.

I'm still trying to fully understand the logic of not having a dedicated icon. I mean it's a huge advantage even just the dot in the F1. I figure it still just comes down to doctrine and the Soviets being tied to the numbers game. For them it's not individual pilots that are going to turn the tide, and you have limited flight hours per pilot due to cost. I believe Robert Hierl said it was around 60 flight hours per year for the east Germans vs 240 hours for the West Germans. So the idea it you send the pilots up, and they following the steering cues and the envelope that you have set up to do the interception automated. No need to put a direct icon where the target is physically. We want you to fly the most efficient programed path the put your missiles into optimal range and firing zone. Yes that might mean due to the inflexiblity in the system that some pilots might not be able to actively adapt, and will get shot down, but if the majority follow the plan then the odds will stack up, everyone will be in the correct place at the correct time, and engage efficiently. And even when you then get to the merge, most of your targeting will be looking outside of the cockpit with the helmet cueing system, so you don't really need a icon for that too untill your are actually employing fixed guns. That's how I feel the logic goes.

the flight model changed alot in 2.0 and feels much more responsive but also feels as if the helicopter has much more lift as well. Was the older Uh60L mod flight model simply underpowered for the GE 701C engines? or is this a Uh60L updated to reflect a Uh60L reffited with GE 701D engines ? IF so the choice of pilot model reflecting contemporary period uniforms would make sense as opposed to early GWOT period when olive green flight suits were still worn.
