  2. There is no help. It's been doing that for a long time when you go to the F10 map and then back to the cockpit. Quite annoying...yes.
  3. Where did you hear auto mode changes PRF for target aspect? It should just change randomly every second or so, meaning it might not hold long range locks or short range where there isn’t enough closure. 2. P mode has quirks, you can easily get locks to 30-35 km but you need to be above about 3 km altitude. Below 3 km altitude its lock range quickly decreases to 20 km or even less at very low altitude. When range becomes close, especially above 3 km altitude, P is the best mode to turn an STT lock to or engage STT when range decreases to 30 km or less. It can have a smaller notch and you’re only way to receding targets.

  8. I agree with your wish for coherence, but still, the fact that we can chose between metric and imperial should be maintained. The MiG-29Gs were former MiG-29A (9-12A) that were converted to english/imperial and only very "moderate" changes on top of that. If I were nitpicky, I could as well say that it is unrealistic to fly the DCS MiG-29 with soviet liveries, because the announcement clearly states, that it simulates the Warsaw Pact export version (9-12A as opposed to the regular 9-12). Oh...and in that case also: AA-10C (R-27ER) and AA-10D (R-27ET)...nope...unrealistic.... See where we are getting with this?
  9. Sorry, can you include a short track on Caucasus? Works fine in public version with localizer and glideslope indications on the ADI. The bank and steering indications should only operate in Approach and Automatic Landing mode. We are not having much luck replicating this. Thanks!
  10. I'm sure I did this before on another jet but currently the AB kicks in about half way up the travel of my WinWing throttle. How can I match that to the actual afterburner detent on my WinWing?

  12. disable the power service (and every other background process you can live without). The .1 lows are mostly caused by interrupt calls from other processes. The power service is one of the big offenders and easy to live without with. I suppose you have disabled the AV already.

  14. I fill all data BRG, RNG and WPT and nothing happens, i also have LOC mode active and the indications are non visible on TAD and i don't know, TIME function doesn't work too , ANY TIP ¿?
  15. My apologies. Yes I took too long getting my video out, I intended to get it out the day before the AG video, but life gets in the way. No issue with Wags timeframe, it was impressively quick production for such a long video, which I am very aware can be exhausting to make. Thought I do believe the purpose of pre designate should be added to the manual rather then “do it if you have time.” As Ivan kindly told me, it was only meant for 5 m/s wind or more.
  16. Hey Guys, I recently seen in fpsVR I can see my 1% and .1% FRametimes. I had noticed the .1% was rather high and I am trying to reduce it under 16.6ms. I am currently around 17.6ms so I am close, I was just wondering if this is even possible to do? Having lowered it from about 26.5ms I am close now but it still has eluded me.. I am wondering since DCS Seems to always have that random spike if it would even be possible in DCS to lower the .1% FT down under 16.6ms? I was wondering what setting would affect that FT the most if anybody knows? I have lowered the main FT too 6.7ms but the .1% seems problematic.. I was going to try and reduce the resolution in the VR Headset and see what happens I was just looking for some suggestions on what else I could try here? thank you.

  23. It's as simple as this: the system isn't designed for it; they are independent maps. You can't load two maps simultaneously. And speaking of the Middle East, there are three companies creating flat maps (ED, Ugra Media, and OnReTech), and even though there's some overlapping territory, none of them share maps or assets. (For example, the maps of Syria and Iraq have different levels of detail for the airbases along the Syrian-Iraqi border.) Each company creates its own assets, even though they use the same SDK for development (the TDK). That's what the "spherical earth" and the "2.0" version of the TDK are intended to address: not only creating circular maps, but also allowing players to fly seamlessly from one map to another, all within a spherical environment that dynamically loads the necessary terrain (like some commercial flight simulators). ED has working on that technology years, and Wags talked about them on the January 2025 Q&A. (from 10:53 to ahead some map topics, include the World Map and Map expansions).
