I'm disappointed that the WMD (tpod) hasn't been fixed. I tested last night and still sometimes doesn't lock to the ground. The AKG (MITL) cruise missile doesn't bear down on its target and the data link image is so poor that its not really playable. There's still no pilot body, so feels weird in VR. Add the CM400 If these fixes were made and added I'd be a happy man. @uboats @JG54_NF2

I like this for one reason, I think it will make cranking and rolling to reverse the crank while maintain near max crank angle easier lol

Hello team I'm playing with the new amazing toy ( beautiful plane, great job ) and I was trying to set the throttle idle-off toggle command , but it does not seems to be working, while the two separate commands ( idle and off ) are working correctly. I've first tried it on my warthog throttle on the idle button that the throttles have when they're moved all the way back, and then over the step ( as the real aircraft, they have the step from idle to off ) , but it did not seem to work. I've then tried with other buttons on the warthog and got the same result, but, when I've tried with two separate actions ( idle and off ) it worked fine with all the combinations I've tried. Is it a defect or am I doing something wrong ? Side question, not sure it's an issue: I vaguely remember that the gun can't be fired when there's a ventral tank installed. Did I remembered wrong ?

It's strange they didn't see it. This limitation is documented in Russian manuals. And this is not a failure, it is a feature of the device’s operation.

Which GPU are you using if you don't mind me asking? Because these settings, I cannot have them even in 2D... So either you are using a 4090/5080ti/5090 or I need to burn my diplomas... As for Pico Connect, I did try it but I didn't get much results from it... Especially with SteamVR. I'll try it again and try to tweak it but I don't have that much faith in it.

Yup. Seems to be another instance of the same issue. This takeoff event is suspicious, with a weird-looking initiatorMissionID field: [19] = { type = "takeoff", initiatorPilotName = "", place = "USS Theodore Roosevelt", t = 505.511, initiator_unit_type = "", initiator_object_id = 16784384, linked_event_id = 0, event_id = 203, initiator_coalition = -1, initiator_ws_type1 = 200, initiatorMissionID = "_16784384", }, -- end of [19] And could a crash in the corresponding code : if event.type == 'takeoff' then AirStart_by_Id[event.initiatorMissionID] = true end matching the stacktrace in the dcs.log file. (Thanks for providing all the data !) I don't have the time to try and reproduce but it may be as easy as waiting about 505.511 seconds until the offending plane takes off and then quitting the mission. That's not entirely true. When you mount the Rhino in any other orientation as usual (I had mine originally mounted sideways for various reason before I build my own design), you need to swap and/or invert axis. When all is set and done in the Rhino software though, you are right. In DCS you can leave the axis' on default.

Sometimes I take my laptop and HOTAS with me when I travel. WiFi is not accessible everywhere, and I have to use smartphone as router to have internet access. Before the last update I could start DCS totally offline and everything worked. I could not switch DCS to offline mode, because it's not accessible in the Steam version. In the Steam version I can play offline only for three days, and after that I get the error "Steam authentication error, no saved authorization found" And if I am away from home, I use the smartphone router to update the Steam authorization for next 3 days.

With a Rhino, none of those shenanigans are necessary: it just works with the default settings.

Important to note that the diamond will not change position on the hud relative to your roll. For example: If you lock a target and the diamond is situated lower then your cross hairs. You might think that if you roll 180 degrees that the diamond will now appear above your cross hairs, however this will not be the case. The diamond will still show below your cross hairs. This is somewhat counter intuitive often to a lot of people. Myself included.

The R-27ER missiles appeared on the MiG-29 only with later firmware versions of the WS computer (BZPP-4 in Russian). This was in the late 1980s, when the F-16C/D Block 40/42 already existed. The early MiG-29s of 1983 had no countermeasures at all and no R-27ER. So, in DСS we have an aircraft no earlier than 1988. Here is early 9-12. Notice fins below vertical stabilizers and lack of countermeasures dispensers.
