  2. @BIGNEWYHi, thanks for the information. Regarding the DCS multiplayer servers, as I mentioned, I have port 10308 enabled on both TCP and UDP, and I did the same in the firewall. If I misunderstood something, could you explain it to me in more detail, since I’m not very experienced in this area?
  3. Replays have been broken since I can remember. When you play the replay, the AI is live in the replay which means it may or may not make the same flight path decisions as when you flew the original mission. It's gotten better over the years, but it is still broken.
  4. Thank you for sharing your experience Talisman. The bugs will get squashed out eventually surely.
  5. Looks like ED fixed the CATM-9M at some point, as it now gives a tone again. It works with the F-5E, but not with the F-4E, see tracks attached. Can you fix this, HB? F-5E_CATM-9M_AIM-9P5.trk F-4E_CATM-9M_AIM-9L.trk
  6. I use task manager (hold down control, shift, and escape all at the same time) and then pick DCS, and then indicate "end task".
  7. It's good to be surrounded by people who know, thank you
  8. Hello the aviators, I have recurring office back and fall spit. I don't know what to do anymore? What works one day no longer works the next day is painful. Here's my last DCS.LOG, if you can help me? THANK YOU Bonjour les aviateurs, j'ai des crach jeu et retour bureau récurrents ! Je ne sais plus ce qu'il faut faire ? Ce qui marche un jour ne marche plus le lendemain, c'est pénible ! Ci joint mon dernier DCS. LOG, si vous pouvez m'aider ? MERCI à VOUS dcs.log

  10. I have a strange issue. Whenever I "Quit to Desktop" from the DCS menu, the game exits in VR but hangs on my desktop and never exits. This is a bit annoying as I have "Cursor confined to Window" enabled. The only way to get out of DCS from this state is to use SteamVR to "Quit VR" which shuts everthing down. It's no big deal if you're just playing, but quite the pain if you're testing and changing settings! Has anyone else seen this?
  11. It won't matter of you do it 100 times if your technique is wrong. Too much/too little paste will both cause increase in temperature. Hence my question #3 above. Watch some videos, try to replicate, run benchmark, and as long as you're within a couple of percents of the expected score for that CPU, you're good
  12. Latest bios was installed before I even installed windows. I’m really leaning towards a thermal throttle issue.
  13. Regardless of recommendations for other modules, I have to agree to the above statement. The harrier is pretty unique in mission and capabilities, but also in look and feel and sound design. I hope it will somehow survive this mess.
  14. I don't have a track, but i can replicate it for you if you need it, mission 11 has an error in it when you get hit null
  15. The problem is that when the door is closed we see the agent through the door, with the leg going through
  16. i recently read a story about just this role for the f-14. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/seal-jtac-explains-why-the-navy-f-14-tomcat-crews-were-the-best-for-close-air-support-only-matched-by-those-of-usmc-f-a-18ds/
  17. I fixed the problem by deleting folder DCS_F4E from saved game folder.
  18. Thanks for your replies, guys. That's convenient because the 128 GB costs significantly less than the 512 GB. Okay, I'll get the 128 GB, which will soon replace my HP G2. Thanks again. Have a good flight, everyone.
  19. no prob. its just DCS. i flew kola for the first time with some guys in multiplayer yesterday, and experienced the same thing with low fps at parking, improved with no mirrors but no issue once out of the airfield, that mission had a bunch of static planes as i looked around me. appreciate reply. i will check out your video on optimizations again, maybe i will pick up something, though i do alot to optimize
  20. I just built a very similar system using the same CPU and motherboard (I'm using the Ryujin 360 Water Cooler, 96GB of RAM and a RTX 5070 Ti OC.) I had a hell of a time getting the motherboard working correctly at first. The first board had to be returned because a of a memory slot issue. The second board initially gave me CPU errors which I later determined was caused by an older BIOS that came with the board. I had to flash the BIOS three or four times to finally get everything working correctly. I have not changed any settings to memory or CPU overclocking and my CPU at idle is running about 43 degrees Centigrade. When I load a mission or start DCS it might briefly spike up to the mid 70s and then drop back down for the rest of the session. I would suggest re-flashing the BIOS with the system shut down and see if that changes anything.
  21. Today
  22. hello. please post your DCS.LOG from a session where the problem occurs.
  23. OK, first report of that I will check it out tonight if I’m able. Yes, I had to remove the simplify deck feature as it was really screwing up the new deck crew with the super carrier. It’s just not compatible with dynamic repopulating of the statics. Thanks for reaching out and I’ll have a look. In the meantime, do you possibly have a track of the issue? That could help me troubleshoot what’s going on
  24. ok thanks so decided to do a full wipe and re install i have 105t of free space on ssd drive for dcs just before wipe i tried to fly quick mission with VD and to my surprise got 72fps over normandy...dog fight. so i'll try wireless upon install....
  25. Yup as @OmasRachE said, META has a huge store of "Standalone" Quest games that are stored on and run FROM the headset. You can also store 3D movies on your QUEST to play with any number of 3D Movie Apps. All require internal storage. For PCVR like DCS, it is irrelevant, mostly. I got my QUEST 2 with 128 (vs 64 GB) and even though I have found quite a few "Standalone" games that I enjoy, I still have plenty of space. I imagine moving large 3D movies in would eat up a lot of space.
  26. Blower is the supercharger (black lever "S") on the throttle quadrant. When the supercharger is operating, it is compressing air to be forced into the engine. When air compresses, it heats up. So that light is indicating that the compressed air being forced into the engine is getting too hot. There are two ways to combat this. One is to shift the supercharger down one notch and therefore reduce the amount of compressed hot air being injected. The other is to open the intercooler flap to cool that compressed air prior to injection. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  27. This is the supercharger (middle lever). The low position is the middle position.
