Iv'e been trying to play this game for weeks and weeks, but it's just like banging your head against a wall. since beta 4 I have been unable to play this game, and going back to beta 3 now gives me errors, add into the mix that I am using up my activation codes too. Can we please get a game that actually works? I am bloody sick and tired of trying to get this game to actaually start, never mind play it, I am almost ready to put it to bed for ever, even though I paid a premium price for it. SD

Yes, as Bob says it is the same SPO-15 in the MiG-29, Su-27/33 and Su-25. The difference is what a radar strength will display as on the RWR. A stronger radar will light up more yet be further away. A weaker radar will light up less yet be closer.

Правильно человек говорит, совместили вертолет с истрибителяси в один проект, а защиты от них вообще ни какой не дали, и называют это дело "Combat Simulator", какой же это "Combat Simulator" если такое приимущество вертолета над смолетом как не заметность не реализованно. И кто после этого полетит на вртолете в онлайне если рядом с ним есть возможность сесть на Су-шку?

Well, the right to carry a gun should be seen in it's right context (US that is). Like I said it is history rooted, and forged it's way though time in the US society. If you take it now as it is and implement it in another society, it won't work. That is why, comparison with other societies is difficult. This is also the well known american clichee. With this I really can't agree, because "Good" and "Bad" are so relative, that they only find a meaning in the bible perhaps, or when you educate your child. Being "The Good" is also a perfect example of egocentrism. Take the world, define yourself as "good" and the rest, depending on similarities, will be also "good" or "not so good". Yes sometimes it's easy to point "the-whatever-society-defines-as-bad", but those cases are rare. Between The Good and The Bad, I will always be The Ugly! Thanks for these examples, I was really curious, on how common is gun usage. I actually didn't expect so many examples. You really get the idea of US being a place were a lot of violence takes place from the TV, and when I went there, I was actually surprised to see otherwise. In fact, I never felt unsafe, without carrying guns or knifes. But this is really not a representative example, I haven't actually live in the US, and also you can easily say that I haven't been to the right places. In your first 3 examples, you handled all situation well, without the help of the gun. Anyways, I'm glad you are still alive.

Its a beta. ED and their testers can not produce all the different combinations of OS, processors, videos cards, etc. and see how the program ( A10-C ) performs. It is up to the beta users to report back, in order so that ED can produce the best sim ever. I found that search is your friend. Fortunately each crash I had, I search and found that it had been reported and ED is working on it, and in some cases there was a fix posted. If its not reported they can not correct the cause of it. Don't give up please, first search the forums and if there isn't a history of it, then used the proper procedure to report the crash. You will be helping everyone

According to the manual 'Invalid Fuzing' [sic] on the MK82AIR is caused by selecting Nose fuse while 'Fixed High' is selected. Been buggin me as well - haven't figured out what 'Fixed' refers to yet though.

I had trouble getting my changes to "take" at first as well. Don't forget to click the flashing save button after making your changes. Also if you change profiles without naming them, your save will be lost when you select another profile. This is a tricky bit. (Ie, you must use your changes straight away or lose them). If this is not your problem I will be happy to give you a walkthrough. BiPod.

Чем он отличается от вертолета. У него колеса крутятся и шмалит под 60км. За ваши знания я тоже не уверен. Ибо есть 3гига книг, Ютуб и рассказы реальных летчиков. И 2 года срочной службы в армии с 2 переподготовками в высшрадиотехнучилищах, кстати против самолетов. Замкомбат радиотехническихспецназвойск. спец 1класса, не кадровый офицер.Тем более мы с тобой это обсуждали давно. А вот я не одинок оказался. Хотя это ваш сим делайте что хотите. Конечно нет, это они уже потом друг на друга валили. Цесна(100мл/час-182км/час), не боинг же, да и пмв вдоль ж/д. Если бы увидели, то посадили бы вертолетами. Притом что тогда еще небыло такого бардака в войсках как сейчас. Только начиналось.

Hey Folks just wanted to give you all that have played my missions an update of whats going on. Due to the economy here in the states I am having to return to my previous occupation. I have for the last few years been working as a Computer Field Technician. I have been a geek since the late 70's. The Radio Shack TSR 80 was my first PC and I was the first kid on my block to have an amber screen monitor. I have been an addict ever since. I live in a very rural area and work in my area is terribly slow and I very much do not desire to reside within the concrete jungle ever again. This week I will go back to driving commercially. I have driven the majority of my life and have always held my Commercial license as an ace up the sleeve, and it's time to pull it. I apologize for not updating or adding any new missions for the last several days. This week has been a ritual of gathering gear and tools, as well as purchasing certain items that you need when you live on the road. One of them is this new laptop I am writing this post on. It's not a top of line unit but it does have a 17 inch LED screen and it allows me to work in the Mission Editor within DCS A10C. I will be able to create missions to my hearts content, while living on the road. I do have several missions in the works and I have updated and polished all my current posted missions. I have fixed and eliminated any unnecessary trigger and items. I have added altitude settings to all way points and fixed dates and seasonal settings with end of mission parameters and messages. They are ready to go, and they should be posted sometime shortly. I, as well as everyone else, have been patiently waiting for the next beta to arrive, and what that will do to any current mission built in Beta 4. Anyways! I just wanted to give you all a heads up and let you know what I got going. I just wanted to thank everybody for the great input and putting up with some of the mistakes and/or errors in my missions. I have had and will continue to have a blast making them and I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do creating them. Just wanted to Thank Matt and the whole ED team for creating DCS A10C. Flight sims are definitely a niche market and not chosen to be created by leading Gaming companies. Let's face it, if EA was going to try and do a sim like this ...they would just screw it up anyways. Money quite often gets in the way of creativity, and I am so glad as a flight sim junky ED hasn't contracted this disease. So everybody I will see on the flip side. Will be somewhere down the coast this time early next week. Trying to put a big fish in a small pond, some place in Los Angeles. Keep flying....and.....stay alert....stay alive! This is the nature of beta testing, if you can't cope with sometimes unreliable software and just want to play a game then I suggest to wait until the final release. If you wish to contribute to the development of the sim, help those trying to help you get the bottom of your issue. Nate asked for you to post your dxdiag in your thread in the beta forums 2 weeks ago, and you failed to respond. If you are not willing or able to help us work out your issue, then again I suggest you wait for the product to be released. Beta testing isn't for everyone, just try not to get stressed about it.

I may have been a bit overzealous including ICAO. These are FAA part 91 procedures, with further stipulations in part 121 (not all of these rules apply to part 91 general aviation). I've only flown part 91/121/161 in the USA under FAA governance, but I've been used to these mirroring ICAO rules in the past and may have included ICAO incorrectly.

Any artificial head movement tends to mess you up when flying on instruments. In real life, pull your harness tight and hit the gym if your neck has the mechanical properties of a bungee cord. :)

Hi StrongHarm, Hehehe...raising the gun issue in America is like waving a red flag while standing between two bulls. You're going to get charged from both directions! Asparagins comment was spot on. In Australia gun ownership is about 5% (occupational and sporting), but the issue is framed as a societal one rather than as a personal rights issue, and nobody really cares. If you look at the worldwide pattern of private gun ownership, I doubt there is a strong correlation with freedom. Australia is almost identical to the U.S. in culture, wealth and political status and yet we are diametrically opposed on gun ownership. This points to the historical accident of the phrase "right to bear arms", rather than a intrinsic rights issue. Just think of the phrase "right to take heroine" and you can see what I mean. Australia has traditionally had more political freedom than the U.S., and many Western European nations effectively have more free speech (just don't mention the war;)). Each nation is complex and unique. In fact, forget everything I just said and re-read Asparagins post. he said it more succintly. Viva la freedom! Hope you enjoy your new gun! I think firearms are rooted in America's history. I wouldn't associated immediately with a "free society". Each society has it's freedoms and taboos. If I were to live in the US, would I buy a gun? Tough question..I know the immediate thought is "yes", because all the people around you also carry weapons (at least you think) and having also a gun gives you a feeling of safety. But there are also counter-arguments. Do you actually carry a handgun wherever you go? Was there a situation where you actually had to take it out, or came close to use it?

For anyone interested this is the tornado which crashed off the coast of Scotland on the 27th of January. As XV® is a training squadron I'm going to presume the crew will have been different.

Have you read the JTAC section in the flight manual starting at page 640? The most simplified way I can put it is: Contact JTAC and check-in. Wait for the 9-line to finish and after a short pause, they will say "advise when ready for remarks and further talk-on" Use the radio to say you're ready for remarks After receiving remarks, use the radio to provide the 9-line readback. JTAC will confirm readback okay, and say 'standby data'. You'll then receive a message on both MFCDs saying NEW TASKING; acknowledge this with the ack OSB at the bottom right or TMS LEFT SHORT. On your TAD, you will have a WILCO and a CNCMP option on the left and right. Use the WILCO option to accept the tasking. You'll see a red triangle on the TAD. Make the TAD the SOI, use the throttle slew control to put the cursor over the triangle, use TMS UP SHORT to hook the triangle, and then TMS UP LONG to make it the SPI. Use CHINA HAT FWD LONG to slew everything to the SPI (i.e. location of that triangle). At this point, your targeting pod will pointing at the coordinates the JTAC provided. Use it to locate the precise position of your target(s). Exactly how you prosecute the attack depends on the type of control in effect and how the target is marked; I'd suggest reading page 642 at the very least. If you just go in guns blazing without following procedure your JTAC will tell you to abort.
