  3. Hi, high end machines tend to cope better even when there is an fps issue, so some are lucky and have not seen the performance hit that others have. We are currently investigating a few leads regarding the FPS hit and are working on optimisation in parallel, hopefully we will make improvements for the next patch, it is a high priority task currently.

  4. С ботами всё работает относительно нормально. Однако, на серверах, нашлемкой до 40 nm крайне тяжело захватить цель в STT. На ближней дистанции до 16 nm это совершенно не работает. Если хватать в RWS/TWS через MFD, то на дальней дистанции хватает, но подлетая миль на 15-20, лок часто спадает. Летать на FA-18 невозможно с патча 2.9.7.58923. Проверяли 3 человека с разных стран.

  6. После последних пары патчей радар стал работать отвратительно. Особенно выражается в захвате нашлемкой. На расстоянии менее 8 миль приходится держать в кружке противника по 4-8 секунд. Режим STT после завхата при полете лоб в лоб над водой срывается в 4х милях, такое было неоднократно. Пользоваться нашлемкой стало литерально невозможно. Режимы TWS/RWS более вменяемы, однако даже при точном позиционировании радара на цель - долгое время не появляется трекфайл, даже нет в целом кирпичика на радаре, будто цели вообще не существует. Такое бывает достаточно часто. Я понимаю, что люди летающие компетитив в меньшинстве, однако для этого режима хорнет стал буквально бесполезен. Радар F-16 сейчас на две головы выше F-18, совершенно невозможно соперничать на малых дистанциях. Прошу комментария - если это так и должно быть, тогда буду переучиваться на другой борт. Чтобы не ждать каких либо изменений.

Kneeboard Builder Update to Version 1.9.1.0 After a catastrophic loss of my dev machine and a very long while trying to get motived to get things rebuilt, I have finally put together an update that will hopefully fix most (I can only hope all) of the crashes you all have been experiencing. I apologize for the long absence. This update should also restore the auto-update feature but you will need to manually install this update by downloading the full Kneeboard Builder app from the website at: https://dcskneeboardbuilder.com/download.html and copy just the KneeboardBuilder.exe from the .zip file to your Kneeboard Builder folder, replacing the existing .exe. As I stated in my last post long ago, I appreciate the feedback and bug reports. I may not respond to all of them in a timely fashion,if at all, but they do help me track down the issues and put together a fix. My kids and career haven't slowed down at all, but now that my dev machine is up and going again I am hoping that it will be easier to get motivated to stay on top of any bugs that popup after future DCS updates.   10. From FB: Welcome to another MiG-17F update. The team is working hard and continously with the current focus being on the MiG-17F systems and texturing. For this reason, today we would like to talk about one of those systems, the Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) Sirena 2 (SPO-2 / CPO-2) of the MiG-17F. The MiG-17F was equipped with an early RWR system that could only detect radar signals from the rear hemisphere. The RWR receiver is mounted on top of the tail fin assembly. Technical data: Range: 5 – 6000 meters Beamwidth: 50° vertical, 80° horizontal The RWR Sirena-2 gave the pilot an audio warning signal that the airplane was being painted by a radar (from the rear); the audio signals varied according to the distance of the radar impulses that hit the antenna (the distance of the radar behind the MiG-17F). Audio signals: 4 - 6 km: high-pitched, continuous sound 2 - 4 km: rising and falling howling tone 0 – 2 km: humming tone Control of the Sirena 2 is managed by the main circuit breaker on the right side wall, while the control panel is located on top of the main instrument panel, to the left of the ASP-4N gunsight. The control panel consists of a two-position power switch and two lights. The right light (red), indicated that the system was switched off. The left light (green), indicated that the system was on and operational. We also have some pictures for you of the latest texture work. As always, everything you see is Work In Progress.   12. Kneeboard Builder Update to Version 1.9.1.1 -Fixed Kneeboardbuilder.exe targeting wrong architecture This fixes the issue with Ghostscript during PDF conversions. If you have version 1.9.1.0 Kneeboard Builder should auto-update if you have given it permission to do so in the Preferences page or you can just double-click the 'updater.exe'. If you have an older version of Kneeboard Builder you will need to manually install this update by downloading the full Kneeboard Builder app from the website at: https://dcskneeboardbuilder.com/download.html and copy just the KneeboardBuilder.exe from the .zip file to your Kneeboard Builder folder, replacing the existing .exe. I also need to note that Kneeboard Builder is now required to be run as an administrator in order to continue accessing and modifying kneeboards that are stored by DCS within the DCS install directory. The downside is this disables the drag-and-drop feature due to Windows access control restrictions. I am all ears if anyone knows a solution to this that is not a security risk.

  14. Im sypathetic to the users that are experiencing issues, but using the word "most" is not fair. Those threads consist of a handful of total dcs players. All the players i know, including myself have been playing for years and have not experienced any of these performance issues.

  15. I described the problem and made a video showing the dots disappearing. I feel like my greatest achievement was having ED remove the dots completely in VR Currently, in order to see anything on the Enigma, the visual effects have to be drastically reduced. Low resolution, basically everything set to LOW, allows you to see your opponent. But it takes away all the pleasure from the beautiful graphics. We have text-based accurate surgical guidance. But we can't see each other when flying wing to wing. It's hard to call the current state of spotting enjoyable and fun. I only fly WW2 and Cold War. It's hard to call this era currently playable online. I described disappearing contacts on large servers here: the topic died forgotten ;(

Or fixing AI CASE I departures, or fixing CASE II comms in CASE III weather, or fixing multiplayer CASE III comms when aircraft are in the same group, or fixing CATCC getting clients' modexes mixed up, or fixing Tomcat delayed to start with 9 open spawn points in multiplayer, or giving us recovery window/turn into wind features in-house instead of having to rely on lua scripting...

For my two pence i went the DCS route because of the opportunity to purchase the warbirds, I didn't know then it was seen as being of limited financial reward to ED and that development time would be scaled to accordingly. We didn't pay reduced prices because it would lack the development input of the other modules. If you purchase any module / map or Tech asset surely you expect that to be treated the same as any other module surely. I have purchased the Spitfire, P51, P47, Mosquito, WW2 asset pack and both WW2 maps. That's a sizable investment and i don't regret it i have great fun. But i do feel let down when you see the patches release month by month with no major Updates, Improvement or new features. Certainly with the asset pack, The Mosquito and WW2 asset pack are still early access. So to me that means there a development plan to make the full release. What is that development plan? When will it be fulfilled. I don't understand how it can just be left with no news, no published plan! If there is a (small) team of developers maybe they can give news updates on what they are working on! If this is the new PTO then so be it but how do we trust that will be delivered / supported better then what we have now?

  20. So now that we got the Chinook in early access, how are the plans to move on? Plenty of bug reports have been handed in, so the team should have a solid feedback now and is surely prioritizing their work. So what is the first on the to do list, and what aims are there timewise. I know it is early access (and I'm happy to fly it) but it feels even "worse" than the Viper release a couple of years ago. - Flight model really very strange - Almost no systems included - Radios aren't useable - Keybinds are weird as well (you can't map the mfds, but you can map all the circuit breakers) So what is the plan now? At least a very rough one? As I said it is fun to have it, but for me right now it is like a "Flamming cliffs helicopter" not a high fidelity module. It sure will be one day, and I'm looking forward to this.

  24. No, the azimuth ruler at the top of the HUD is not to scale. The pitch ladder is correct though and can be used for such measurement.

  25. Thank you very much for help. I always noticed that the response to the drag chute release was missing and I wondered why. It's a procedural error of mine in the drag chute release. During the F-4E training missions at a certain point I started (and I don't know why) to release the drag chute simply by lowering the handle, instead of pressing the button. In the sim the drag chute is released anyway and this prevented me from noticing and correcting this my procedural error. Flash tells Soupy "... don't be stupid", but I'm stupid. Excuse me. Anyway, I'm very happy I corrected it. Thanks again.

  28. This is the correct answer. I've used a number of VR headsets on multiple systems, and the sad reality is that you have to level-set your expectations when it relates to VR, even with a top-end system. Compared to TrackIR, the visual experience won't be on-par... you'll have to make graphical tradeoffs, primarily on texture settings and other visual details. The benefit is the "immersion" you get in VR. You're no longer flying in your living room starting at a flatscreen monitor with a hat and infrared clip on your head. You're now sitting in the cockpit, at least as far as your visual senses are concerned. If you don't think you want to live with lower graphics settings, and don't want to spend at least some time tweaking and adjusting trying to get just the right experience, don't torture yourself with VR. Once you try it, you can't un-see it.

  32. it sounds like prepare mission has been used on the mission, is it an older mission that has been edited? There was an issue fixed some time ago regarding this, it maybe the mission you have is corrupted due to the old bug.

  35. I was waiting for this campaign since the first teaser. And boy, was this worth the wait! I just finished the 1vs1 hop and I am so happy. I thought that Speed & Angels is the best campaign out there, but this one is on par. No, even better with all the little details like the arm/de-arm zones and the BDA and stuff. So much attention for detail. This is just amazing work. Thank you very much, and I hope there will be more F4 campaigns by Reflected in the future.

  36. That info you should have given at the start of your Thread, and even more. In game settings are also an important part for a diagnostic. But bro, 120 Hz and you are asking why you get stutters near the ground? You must set the max HZ so that you do not fall below this number. Only then will you no longer have micro-judder. Try 90 Hz or 72 Hz, but 120 Hz, no way with good visuals and without any stutter.

  38. Ragazzi, con l'arrivo del chinook e degli slot dinamici, non potevamo farci mancare questa ghiotta occasione. La novità più grande riguarda proprio il CH-47, che tramite il sistema del CTLD, può creare le casse per operare come FAT COW. Per chi non conosce questa procedura, sostanzialmente grazie alla sua enorme capacità di carico, il Chinook è stato spesso impiegato durante le operazioni militari per rifornire altri veicoli, incluso altri elicotteri. Nello specifico sul server l'operazione di FAT COW è a tutti gli effetti una FARP, che sarà quindi in grado anche di riarmare e rifornire altri velivoli. Alla creazione le risorse saranno "limitate", ma queste possono essere facilmente integrabili da altri elicotteri cargo, che possono portare risorse per alimentare continuamente il processo. Al momento siccome va fatta una manualmente una lista, di base ci sono hellfire (laser e radar), rendendo di fatto il Chinook il perfetto compagno di viaggio dell'Apache durante una sortita Ovviamente oltre a questo gli slot dinamici, quindi man mano che si avanzerà nella conquista (ora diventata esclusivamente da nord verso sud e non più divisa su due fronti) degli aeroporti, si potrà decollare da nuove posizioni. Che dire, se avete feedback o suggerimenti, sapete dove trovarci! Buon volo!

  39. The MiG15 and MiG21 er the outliers. Most of the jets even if they somewhat over preform has been nerfed by the BFM AI that was added a few years back. It made stuff like MiG29, Su27, F18 behave more realistically based on their aircraft advantages (F18 preferring 1 circle vs F16 preferring 2 circle) the MIG 15 and 21 did not appear to have been affected buy this update as their behaviour is same as it was before the BFM update. MIG21 is made by mag3, the MiG15 was made by a semi independent party thar now doesn't exist anymore. While all AI aircraft over preform. The 21 and 15 are in their own league using star trek impulse drive.

Ещё разработчик сказал, что не закрывает возможность настроить свой (удобный для пользователя) способ запуска через ярлык (и это займёт совсем немного времени). А ещё разработчик сказал, что ED сделали именно так, как посчитали нужным. Если мнение ED по способу запуска игры-симулятора изменится - будут изменения и у Вас. И в конце концов - у разработчика могут быть свои резоны и свои планы, не так ли? Спасибо за мнения.
