  1. "Lutch" indicator for antiradiation missiles (replaces the TV when BA-58 "Wyuga" pod is mounted). With su-25a avionics those are still fired "maddog" but it allows to place the aircraft at a right angle so theres higher chance for signal interception by the seeker (yes, I have tested it).

  3. Hello, I checked the M01 mission and updated the mission to comply with a couple of minor changes that v1.2 has had since the time when I edited that mission, I had to restrict the trim range check, to -2° instead of -3°, to accomodate the Mod limitations. I will send the mission to the Mod developers now but in the meantime here is a link to the updated mission: T-45C - Training - M01 Carrier Cold Start (by Rudel_chw).miz and here is a video walkthrough to check it is indeed working: One of the Mod changes I detected probably impact other missions as well, I will check those also over the next few days. Best regards and sorry for the inconvenience Eduardo

  4. Hard to express how disappointed I am with this module. 80% of it is fantastic. And if it felt like there was a plan to finish the job, I'd retain hope. But at this point I've given up hope. What makes DCS compelling is the modules are the highest fidelity available in the personal simulation market. What keeps me buying modules is knowing what I am buying will be, if not perfect, the best available. At this point the F4U falls so short of that mark it's borderline depressing. It has the dubious honor of being the only DCS module I regret purchasing. I can't think of many things more immersion breaking than being unable to do a 180 degree turn with even the slightest amount of wind. Or more infuriating than being asked to "turn off the wind" for a module that's four months post release.

  5. Hello friends, Despite the fact that we have many terrains now (which is good) I still love the cauacasus map. And I have to say that ED has everything what it need to look awesome. Except good ground textures, tree textures and filters. So I tried by my own - I created some new winter trees without leaves and used one of the LUT filters to adjust the colors in game: less color, and a bit of more of contrast: So after that, I took screenshots from every building area, looked for hours for matching satellite pictures and created some ground textures- highly inspired by Mustangs and Bartheks terrain mods. After tons of red bulls, gin tonics and music I got something like that: For luck the ED team created such a good engine , tools and is still pretty mod-friendly so that guys like me can have fun with textures and other stuff. I the very past days some friends of my made allways jokes about me like: " why you love DCS so much? It´s just a screenhot sim ..." Well ...first: I can fly my all time greatest love ever, my Tomcat. Second : Now I can fly my MiG-29 what I did in good old Flanker days back in 1999. I can do it in VR, fully clickable and with very good flight models. And finally: If it is a screenshot sim, lets do it right: Thanks to ED for so many good memories. Thankfuly and respectfuly yours, ... and cheers, TOM (Screenshots direct out of the game - not edited or polished)

  7. Nice rotor head/blades blur effect/texture but the fuselage shine is too narrow and exaggerated now. On earlier screenshots the shiny fuselage - wider but less/soft reflection - looked better IMHO

  9. @Captain_beefcake thank you! And I am making campaigns, plus will re-relase this one (updated and including new missions) when the full fidelity F-15 is out!

  10. The entire training package is dressed like a campaign right. Could be great fun Though I do hope it allows space-to-advance like most newer modules, for when you're on your 5th time around.

  16. We need ED to work on the back end cloud rendering system to get cloud shapes like that. I've already pushed the current engine to its limits in terms of what's possible. That being said, I have made some improvements to thunderstorms and lightning for the next update.

  17. The "chatter" is part of the friendly cooperative atmosphere that the instructor creates to make the sessions effective. While there are many ways to do this kind of tutorials/training sessions in DCS, I found this one refreshing and immersive but again I have just seen a video and not the final product and until we do see the whole training "package" it is just about personal preferences. As I mentioned I have never flown a C-130 but in most aircraft, interaction with other crew members other than flight crew members is usual and it is actually part of the standard procedures so maybe interaction with the loadmaster during start up is required in the real operation. Let's just be flexible and see what do they finally deliver.

  20. Before Flankers, there's a gazillion other Redfor aircraft I'd like to see. More Fishbeds (with a plural "s"). Fitters, Foxbats, Floggers and even chineese "copies" like J-5s, J-6s and J-7s. I'd like to fly an A-5/Q-5. Or a Flagon. All those are exciting. The Flanker just scratches the anti-Eagle itch.

  21. First of all its an awesome map! But sadly with some inaccuracies. - In Rostock the stadium isn´t on his right location. It´s located more in the center of the city instead of the west. - The A20 and A24 autobahn were build in the early 2000s and didnt exist in the 80s. Therefore the A19 had a highway landing strip at the location of the A19/A20 intersection, the originally aircraft parking in the north of the intersection is still available. (Orthophostos for 1991 existing https://www.geoportal-mv.de/gaia/gaia.php) Would be great if this would be integrated, also some of the other highway airstrips. I know that the DCS maps aren´t on the same level as MSFS and i can understand if it´s not getting reworked. But as i am living here in this region, it hurts a little bit to see those things:)

  22. I do appreciate having the somewhat classic training session as well, though. Over the years we have seen many styles of those and I trust we all have our favourites.

  24. Control mappings. Whoever got the job here, please give that guy or gal a f**king good raise because they absolutely nailed it on this bird. Absolutely spot on options to configure everything, pleeeease can you apply to the old ED stuff, much as I love the Huey the bindings are like someone phoned them in....

  25. Bleed Air knob position shouldn't cause electronic failures, this sounds more like a generator tie problem that one engine isnt supplying power to all electronic buses. Check position of the GEN TIE switch?

  26. Been away from the SA-map for literal years, but recently did the F-4E landing-mission there. Ended up flying around before I ran out of fuel, just staring at the terrain. VERY well done. It looks miles better than I remembered, and is now just stunning.

  28. So I wont lie, there was a little bit of burnout for a few months however back into things. Animations are all complete, weapon pylons are all on and configured (might make own weapons such as stingray but TBD), still trying to figure out the sounds and currently putting the textures on. I cant give a timeframe but at least its progressing.

  31. Those are not "right above" the skids. Those are the 20mm gun-ammo boxes: attached to the fuselage. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/uploads/monthly_2023_04/AH-1_20mm.thumb.jpg.9d6d1b42853eb56fa103a7be08a2b4c8.jpg http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/331390-ah-1g-gattling-gun-magazine-references/&do=findComment&comment=3109178

  32. And here's a fix that works for me, so that fonts are readable in cockpit and on mfd export...you can change thickness and fuziness, but also set this to TRUE -- dbg_drawStrokesAsWire = true I have now clear fonts on mfd export and in game!! -------FONTS---------- fontdescription = {} dbg_drawStrokesAsWire = true HUD_thickness = 1.5 HUD_fuzziness = 0.5 MFD_thickness = 0.2 MFD_fuzziness = 4.1 null

  36. We get what we pay for. We pay for new modules, and the number of active modules is ever-increasing. Unfortunately, every module requires maintenance. But that maintenance requires manpower and manpower is costly. Impossible to finance all that work with one-time payments per module. So that maintenance is reduced to a level that produces more and more dissatisfaction. As long as we don't pay for maintenance we won't get much. I have bought 22 aircraft modules, not counting the ones in Flaming cliffs. But in reality I only fly about 6 or 7 of them more or less regularly. I would like those to be kept in shape and accept to pay a reasonable annual or monthly maintenance fee for maybe 6 of them. And I will be very reluctant to buy any more modules, no matter how enthusiastically they are welcomed by the community.

  37. True that! I don't think I made more than a few changes to my controls. The presets are really well laid out, natural and useful for flying the Fulcrum. Great work!

  40. I think you're overreacting "a tiny bit". Imagine all those other modders that will have hurt feelings when their mods doesn't get any attention. Never underestimate feelings! You've been on the Internets long enough. I'm not joking, I'm pretty sure ED pay close attention to this thread. There's a reason some other mods have made their way into the core, and to my knowledge those threads never got even a single positive official acknowledgement from ED. Pretty sure you've seen the videos where the A-4E was featured. And then ED stated it would not be part of the core, but a nod to the team. Wouldn't surprise me at all if we see the Lanc in videos in the future. Personally, if I were ED I would contact YOU to have your trains added to the core. You're doing a fantastic job! Maybe when the train issues in the core get fixed in the future, who knows? I would hire you as the DCS train master if it was up to me! [emoji1] Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
