  1. Yes, even though I've not got off the ground properly yet, it sounds right, looks right and I'll eventually get there, probably get an iron cross with oak leaves in the post as thanks, but Castle Bromwich used to knock them out....so no problem lol
  2. Thanks Neil, think I'm overdoing the rudder and not using the ailerons, that's shown on the 2nd video above, will try that later. Years as a boy reading pilots using 'a boot full of rudder to counteract the swing, our controls lack the pushback they felt.
  3. Going to have to change c/S to Groundscraperscotsmanat this rate lol
  4. Ok hotas/mfg crosswinds, and all I'm doing is pitching over and ripping the wing tips off, No assistance on t/o,....so I'm not taking off yet, get further if I am gentle on the controls. But when it swings, we're off to the grass. I thought you had to have left rudder to control swing, or I may be overdoing that. Time for coffee/breakfast, sun is coming up, will go read the take off manual again and buy the Erk's a coffee...sorry about the 7 bent Spits lads... May only get back midday ish, but any observations appreicated. That t/o video of the MK1 is very good too.
  5. I recall a spit pilot saying, you don't fly a Spitfire, you put it on. (As in wearing it and it just does all you ask), Had the good fortune to get in one and close the cockpit, Felt claustrophobic, that bubble felt really small and those wings looked huge vision blockers...you were really on your own in there, brave men, a humbling few moments by the history of that aircraft and also respect for those who flew them, so we could enjoy this. You watch I'll trash 10 planes before I get to the runway
  6. I Agee with Freidricch-4/B & Krupi, I'm sure they will get to it, or a skinners efforts suit me, let's not delay things any longer than necessary, The real thing had many updates!
  7. This thread has cheered me up no end, I though I was just rubbish anyway, probably still rubbish haha but the assitance offered is excellent thanks everyone
  8. Totally agree, from what we first had as early flight sim, cartoon like graphics etc, ED are, IMHO top notch, yes things go wrong, but they do their best to fix thing, and if progress is too slow for some, their problem. I'm happy where I am, as each week progresses and updates and things come out Take a bow ED, and well said
  9. NH-90 or too complex?
  10. 18 hours, with all other wifi phones/iPads in aeroplane mode, Nil points for popularity but got 390kb/ps lol...not exactly broadband IMHO
  11. I think I had the Spit in kickstart, forgot about that, until this jogged my memory, and have paid for pre-release too. Oops
  12. Thanks for the heads up on expiring points, I'Ve never used mine yet, so the Hornet would be my choice, but with no dates may use them on a map or campaign
  13. OK will try that thank you
  14. A big THANK YOU to the team, these are really good. Ok so the TORNADO lands so fast I always break it, but otherwise brilliant LOVE the F-18 F, I think the two seater looks brilliant and this is like Christmas. Got it on the carrier first time too....not always that lucky. Once again, THANK YOU
  15. Excellent suggestion I'd love to see that too but bet the tilt rotor dynamics would cause the programmer some problems, an armed version would be fun
  16. I tried to resist....for a nanosecond, out came the card. Looking forward to this
  17. I think that's my Christmas sorted!
  18. CH-53 For me, still in service with the Marines, in fact about to be upgraded and get even bigger. Has been in CSAR role for years, See the number of Medal Of Honour medals have been earned in it. So yes it did/does do combat, Ask any Helo pilot from Iraq, Afghanistan etc, they get shot at....that's combat. I second most of Angelthunders list. Nice to see so many people want the Mojave.
  19. Very nice and informative, nice model - thanks for sharing
  20. Thats excellent, thanks for responding
  21. Skin request for Joey 45 :worthy:Hello Joey45, I know it's the wrong thread, but I just found the photo and see that your popping in here regularly. Could we (I) have a modified Uh-1 skin as attached in the old blue/yellow Thank you
  22. Skin request for Joey 45 For JOE 45, Could you modify your Uh-1 skins for the older blue/yellow Griffin as attached please
  23. I think you nailed it there, That's what'll probably happen to me.But this time I intend to put in about full of rudder and accelerate slowly, not try the scramble take off until later ....much later
