  1. Hi @lefuneste01, Thanks for taking a look. For me, I have been always doing it with the kegetys mod installed as well. Maybe I'll try again without doing that first, but I'm pretty sure the last time I had the menu working, kegetys was there as well since you have to put that on before your mod. Again, its weird because the "effects" of your mod are there, I just can't bring up the menu. And yes, I am doing it in the cockpit. I will try again without kegetys and see how it goes. Just curious though, are your "previous versions" available online somewhere? Thanks again!
  2. I just tried this. Not sure it's anything to do with the canopy per se. For me, the camera-up command just does nothing. Even if I move the camera all the way down to the control sick, it's not possible to move it up again. If I press the camera up key bind while I'm in the options/controls menu, it instantly jumps to the correct line in the controls (so it is properly bound), but while in the game/cockpit, it does nothing. In all my other planes it works as expected. Definitely seems like it might be a bug with the Spitfire, but maybe different than what OP is describing.
  3. Pardon the resurrection, but I also find it just as loud with the canopy open vs closed. I thought it was a bug too until I realized it's the same thing on my motorbike. When I ride without my windshield (ie canopy open), all I hear is the wind noise. When I ride with my windshield (canopy closed), all I hear is the noisy Italian engine. They are both equally loud, just in different ways, if that makes sense. Either way, I always wear earplugs when riding, maybe that's the secret to the Spitfire too!
  4. I think you may be experiencing a different bug. See here:
  5. I would love to see this too. I recently downloaded the "Pirate story" free mission pack from the user files, and was surprised to see one of these rocket pods included in the default mission payload. Got all excited and then found they couldn't be launched when in the mission . A agree that payloads should be based on what COULD be carried, versus what was actually strapped to the airplane at one moment in history. I'm fairly new to the Harrier (and DCS), but from what I've read, there have been a few back and forth's with respect to weapons on this module. I think that could be avoided by going the "capability route" instead of the "someone proved it was carried once" one.
  6. Bumping this because I just found it and I am drooling at the thought of lifting off from inside a mountain in that sweet chopper with Ernest Borgnine and Caitlin in the back...
  7. This is happening to me too now. I have the mod installed as before, and its "effects" are still there (ie haze and reflections are turned right down, NVG are slightly bigger than default), but when I hit LShift F7, nothing happens. I uninstalled the mod, and the effects went back to default (haze and reflections came back, NVG to default), then I reinstalled the mod, and all my 3dmigoto settings came back, but I still can't access the menu through LShift F7. I checked the bin directory, the d3d11_log.txt file is there: Thanks!
  8. I dream of a world where all of these things will just work together, regardless of platform/manufacturer! If only I were smarter I would take a crack at this, but I work in government, so everything is still in BASIC!
  9. Has anyone tried this on the Quest 2 without using Steam? That is, DCS standalone and the oculus runtime? What happens if you drop these files in and run it that way? Thanks!
  10. Thanks, I should have mentioned I had the date set to December 5. I will try November as well but I think it should be the same. Ok I will try it without Barthek to see if that is what's causing it. Thanks!
  11. Hey I finally got around to trying this out, and unfortunately it seems only the trees are coming out right. I copied all the zip files in the google drive link to Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Normandy\vfstextures, overwriting the existing files (using OVGME, so should be easy to go back). Any idea what might be wrong? FWIW I also have the Barthek Normandy textures mod installed, this overwrote some of those files too (ie I installed this after Barthek). Thanks!
  12. Oh yay! I'm gonna install this tonight! Thanks so much for uploading this @PLUTON!
  13. Thank you thank you! This and the other comments totally solved my issue. Now I press autostart and touch nothing until everything is done, and it's working. I will try the sea alignment later too!
  14. Ok thanks you guys! I will try it again without doing anything to move the aircraft, and if it does like I described, I'll save and upload the track file. Question though: does it matter that I'm on a moving aircraft carrier when starting up?
  15. The thing is, it doesn't finish. It stays like that for the whole mission. The timer below eventually just stops and it stays like this.
  16. Hi there, I'm pretty new to the Harrier. When using the autostart sequence, I sometimes (most of the time) get this error on the EHSD: "QUAL: ATT NOT OK" When this happens, nothing navigation-related works. The map usually doesn't show up and waypoints aren't selectable. Any tips on how to fix this or avoid it from happening? Thanks!
  17. Once you log in, you will see a button at the top that says "UPLOAD NEW FILES". Just click on that and you will be able to attach the file and add a description, etc. That should be it! EDIT: I just noticed there is a 300 MB file limit, so probably Google drive is the easiest way. Here is a link with instructions for that: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2424368?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop Basically, you go to drive.Google.com, and click the upload button! 18. Good to hear, I know how use all of those things! And thanks for the other info! Thanks for that, SRS is my next thing to tackle!
  19. I'm hoping to take the plunge into multiplayer soon, and everyone suggests that it's very important to understand IFF so you don't get in a friendly fire incident. I checked the Chucks guide and was surprised to find very little info on this. I see on the centre panel there's a button for IFF, but it doesn't seem to do much. So I guess my question is, what do I need to know about IFF in the Harrier before going multiplayer? Thanks!
  20. This works. I noticed that the ghosting at the horizon comes back though if I go inverted, pretty much any roll angle >90°, and it's quite pixelated. Still looks great the rest of the time though, and I can't say I find the reflections particularly noisy. Thanks for doing this, it's a keeper!
  21. You can do the Google drive route, or put it on the DCS user files page: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/
  22. Hi I've downloaded the most recent version, and I am still having the same speed limiting issues (won't go more than 500kn). Any hints from the track file I posted? Thanks!
  23. I would also like this! If you upload it and credit the original author, it will be fine. If you don't know who the author is, just upload it and say that you don't know who did it and that you will follow the author's wishes (to remove, etc) if they come forward. So long as you don't claim it as your own when it's not, no one will be upset! I'd Love to fly Normandy in winter!
  24. Phew, this has been happening to me too, I thought I had buggered up my install! Glad to hear it's being worked on! For what it's worth, I noticed it's happening on CVNs as well, not just the Tarawa.
  25. Hi there again! I've been using the mod with the latest 2.7.5 version, and I've noticed that the "very coarse" adjustment setting now moves the second decimal place, where it used to change the first decimal place the last time I had to set it up. Is there a way to put it back to the way it was? I'm finding it takes a really long time to make coarse adjustments now, especially since you can't just hold down the keys to adjust, you have to press them repeatedly, once for each step. (This is another request too maybe: can you make it so the adjustment key can be held down and the parameter will just keep going up or down till you release the key?). Thanks again for the great mod!
