  1. It depends, are you trying to have a headset and speakers output the same audio?
  2. There's a known issue that George sets the LST switch to AUTO on the RHG when he powers up the TADS. Jump in the front seat and set that switch to Off.
  3. In STT, the NWS/Undesignate button will drop the lock and return-to-search (RTS) to the previous search mode. In RWS, the NWS/Undesignate button will step the L&S designation through all valid trackfiles (provided no DT2 is present, otherwise will swap L&S/DT2). In TWS, the NWS/Undesignate button will perform the same function as RWS, except TWS demands an L&S is always present, and will set the highest ranked trackfile as L&S automatically when TWS is entered, provided no L&S is already present (this cannot be removed unless no valid trackfiles are present). To remove an L&S designation in RWS, press the RSET button on the ATTK (PB14) or AZ/EL (PB17) formats.
  4. Yes. If the INS isn't aligned, it has no reference to send to the control surfaces to maintain altitude since it doesnt know your attitude.
  5. I believe that's the 'break lock' mode.
  6. Part of that is how DCS handles livery arguments. If you pick a livery that has an argument set to a specific value, any livery picked after it that doesn't have that same argument defined in its description.lua will use the last known value.
  7. A similar thread for the F-16 can be found here: My last post in that thread has some info regarding TACAN/AIFF/DL channel filtering.
  8. The progress of modules generally outpaces their training materials. The relevant section in the manual may end up on a different page number as prior sections are re-written or expanded upon. The Early Access Manual was last updated in December of last year, the AIM-120 training mission was last updated September of last year, however the initial briefing may have been written before this when referencing that outdated page number. The relevant section regarding Air-to-Air radar starts on page 233. RWS specifically on page 236.
  9. When you say 'crosshairs' are you referring to the tracking gates that encompass the entire display, or the smaller cross that represents the seeker azimuth/elevation?
  10. Check nozzle position. Weapon release is inhibited if the nozzles are down.
  11. Entering TWS will set the highest ranked trackfile as L&S automatically (L&S cannot be removed in TWS unless no valid trackfiles are present). Depressing the TDC on it will command STT.
  12. The FLOOD option should only be available on PB10 if the radar is in STT and a Sparrow is in flight. The option is removed if the PB is pressed again or the Sparrow's flight timer expires.
  13. Sniped! Yea, B-sweep line has always been there.
  14. Yea, I was going to suggest something like this as well regarding if the beamwidth was just being multiplied by the bar scan or if the overlap was accounted for.
  15. Alternatively, you can request the ground crew to swap between the JHMCS and NVGs.
  16. Setting the argument to 1.0 turns that layer off, set the ones you want to 0.
  17. When launching from the catapult on the carrier, the player's pilot now has the salute animation the AI have been using.
  18. Laser timer is hard-set to 120 seconds for GBU-24:
  19. Amount of degrees in the direction of the arrow to the designated TGT from the aircraft's waterline/boresight.
  20. Also, if the aircraft has it, make sure the throttle is in the idle position and not off.
  21. What was the range you were trying to fire at? The gun on the Apache can't elevate as far up when near the boresight of the nose versus off the side. George might be saying you're in ballistic range, but the gun may not be physically able to make the shot.
  22. Paveway II series LGBs do not use mechanical fuzes.
  23. The topic here is the HTS, not the HARM itself.
