Probably read what I said again. Glad to see you have 0 faith in us over someone working on a mod for a week. You are ignoring everything I am saying, so if you are not interested in the F-35, that is fine, but you can let those that are be excited. Its ok, it wont hurt you.

"Downgraded" Documentation Requirements for modules
NineLine replied to cailean_556's topic in Chit-Chat
All those things you list, a team working on the F-35 would not do. So while I appreciate the concern over other items in DCS, an aircraft team would not and could not be tasked to do them. -
We believe we will be able to create the most realistic F-35 simulation in the flight sim game market, yes. We never declined the Super Hornet, the SH would not happen until the C is done.
-
Interesting to call something half-baked with no idea what it will look like when it's released. The bar is quite high.
-
As I said, we cannot share everything we have been doing with this research, but we are confident we can recreate the F-35 to DCS standards.
-
This is not entirely true, it's not always about documentation while that can be a result of the issues facing red aircraft it's not always the primary blocking issue. You can't get or use documentation if there are stringent laws about recreating certain aircraft. But I have seen that melting in some areas and growing colder in others.
-
The F-35 should bring improvements to a great many things.
-
It very well could be, but we never really show all our cards.
-
I have seen a number of people concerned about that, and it's fine. But at least give us a chance here, we believe we can do it. We will.
-
It will be like anything, and even the responses you allude to from us, some systems we will be able to do well, some we will be able to do ok, some we may not be able to do hardly at all. As we start development we will see where it all comes out, and share this with you all. I need to continue to stress, research on this aircraft has been going for 2+ years. We would not take this step without a reasonable amount of information being available to do this aircraft.

Nope, you still are not quite getting it. Anyways, if you don't want the F-35 it's ok, I think even those who do not buy it will see benefits from this aircraft for years to come.
-
I think you may have missed the sarcasm
-
Maybe, but in a game people want to be so realistic it seems weird to demand balance. Especially when you can add and remove planes from any mission.
-
I think that was more about who was wanting to do it rather than what he was wanting to do.
-
Switch sides.
-
That is your opinion, we do not agree.
-
I dont know what point you are trying to make, but its not about the F-35 anymore. You are wrong about our use of resources, and has nothing to do with any AAA game companies. Thanks.
-
You think the resources spent somewhere on something you think you want, as opposed to an F-35, or maybe we need to pile more people on another project that is currently working. Its not how things work and not true. I think such a jet will bring about many new things to DCS, improvements and additions. The F/A-18C is pretty close now. Some of the things left holding it up are based on additions to DCS, like effects, etc. I have no idea on the F-35, most likely similar time frames to the F/A-18C and F-16C.

That is simply not true. You can be not happy about it, doesn't mean someone else isn't happy.

Using the same examples, the SH and the MH-60, the reason is we are still finishing the Charlie, so starting a SH doesn't make sense in that regards. As for the MH-60, our helo teams are simply tied up with current work right now. A FF Su-27 is possible, but the team that would do that most likely would be the one nose deep in a MiG-29 right now.

Yes, its not lack of data right now holding back the SH, not sure about the MH-60, but I believe the same.
-
That doesnt mean its too classified.
-
That's a silly statement, sorry. Especially with the ALE-50 already planned.
-
Its our job, and we found enough info on the F-35, so that is why we are doing that opposed to a Gripen. Thanks.

"Downgraded" Documentation Requirements for modules

We will discuss the variant closer to release and when we have a more solid feel. IIB was removed from the FAQ to allow some more leeway on that. We have researched for over 2 years on this, and continue to do so. We will update later. Thanks.
