While I'd love to see a plane like this in dcs, there are a multitude of other aircraft that are missing and desperately needed well prior to even thinking about this. Enough time has been wasted developing planes like the L39 and C101.

I'm talking about DCS as well...

I mean, IT IS a wwii era map, although I know people want to and will fly modern aircraft on the Normandy map. Just remember, it really is meant for wwii. Just food for thought.

If you've spent any amount of time on IL2 ClOD you won't need navaids to find your way around. Even if you haven't spent time of the map before, it doesn't take long to learn your way around.

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you're too new and it would take too much effort to explain. -

I wish I had a smiley that showed me rolling my eyes. lol You do realize that we have to do that when you have 30 blue on and 5 of us and we're pushed back to kras c and p, right? Maybe when we have to take three airfields at once at tblisi and we almost always do this with a numbers disadvantage and we don't get the planes as we advance, like you do. -
I find it tough to fly DCS without VR
BSS_Sniper replied to Johnny Dioxin's topic in Virtual Reality
Exactly why it's not worth the money yet, not to mention there are too many other things you can't see that you may want to reference. I can't see spending that much money to revert to less quality. -
No, its much lower than that. As far as regs go, oxygen is required above 14,000 feet. Below that it's after a set amount of time.
-
Yeah and they aren't flying at altitudes that require pressurization either. To the OP, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want the canopy given this is a sim. It needs to be there to pressurize the cockpit.

LOL Red always makes a push, even when outnumbered. The only time we don't is when Blue has 30 on and Red has 3. I've mentioned it before. Red will always push when the numbers aren't ridiculous. -

More times than not, Painter, our fields fail to fire it seems. As far as GCI, it NEVER works on the RED side. Changing slots does nothing. We can't even see our own aircraft sometimes. We should at least see Blue aircraft flying near or over our airfields, but that doesn't happen. -
Before getting anymore into cosmetics it would be nice if they'd finally get engine limitations implemented. I'm sure most know that as of now, you can fly the huey as hard as you want without hurting the engine.

This. I have no interest in buying a military training area for DCS. It would be like buying Ft Benning for ARMA. It never made sense to me, why they'd want to put so much time and effort into a map that is a military base and training area instead of an actual theater of operation.

I just saw this thread since a member of the group I fly with, BSS_Vidar asked me to see if there were any VS22 skins. He flew the S3 in that squadron.

Modern-aircraft DCS pilots: What do you prefer over the older aircraft?
BSS_Sniper replied to Jamesp1's topic in DCS 2.9
I'm not sure about too much a learning curve since there's SO much left out that we don't have to learn, mainly talking about aircraft systems and limitations. We only have to learn a small amount to get up and flying in here. -
Sounds like you flew over the tacan station
-
There was, but not in US single engine fighters IIRC. For example, the HE111 had an autopilot.

The ball has ALWAYS done that in the Huey. I've had it since it was released and it always seems to throw the ball to the outside, opposite of what happens in a fixed wing, when you bank left or right.

Book: The Modern Hog Guide, 2nd ed.
BSS_Sniper replied to cichlidfan's topic in Military and Aviation
Did I see that correctly, $40 for a book on the A10? Question, is it just general information or something more directed toward DCS like a manual? No offense, but that seems a bit overpriced by about $15 - $20. -

As far as Blue taking over the map...the truth of the matter is that the ONLY time blue pushed and took ground is when red only had 3-4 or less on and Blue had 20-30. Everyday for a while now, during the evening my time (mountain/US) that's what the player list looked like. It's really boring that blue can't really do much unless they have those kinds of numbers. In fact, more than a few times there were no red on at all and that's really the only time blue actually captured things. -

You're not flying it correctly then. That's not realistic cruising speeds and I guarantee you that if you look at your EGT you're way over the limits. The reason you can do that is because they have yet to had the engine limitations to the huey. Hopefuelly, one day... -
You'll only go so far and learn so much without flying multiplayer.

IMPORTANT MiG-21bis StarForce PATCH - APRIL 2017
BSS_Sniper replied to Dolphin887's topic in MiG-21Bis
I'd be surprised if someone hasn't asked this yet, but I'm asking for a couple of the guys in my squadron that do not visit the forums. They had no idea that they needed to deactivate the 21 prior to this last update. Now, they are getting an error message for the 21 when starting DCS. One of them just uninstalled the Mig21 and he doesn't get the error message any more. Is there a process to make things right if someone did this? If so, could someone point me in the right direction so I can help them? -
It would probably be easier to get with a squadron that's been around for a while vs someone starting up an aircraft specific squadron out of the blue. Most likely it'll be something that's around for a couple of months, then gone.
