Not yet, but I suspect it will.

It is very, very unlikely that you will have the option to choose early war/late war presets. It has not been announced as a feature (As opposed to Marianas, where it IS announced as a feature) and have never been done on other maps. You will in all likelyhood just accept the current airfield layout (Whith hopefully more airfields down the line *cough* Biggin Hill *cough*).

1920 and dropping down to 2x MSAA (instead of 4) still gives me very poor performance on empty map when looking towards or flying over population centres. I have a pretty solid rig (1080ti, 5ghz, 32 gb ram, ssd). Maybe they went a bit to far when they modelled the underwear and garden rubbish of every resident i south east England:) Hope to optimization (Which I am sure we will get down the line).

Depending on where you are, the map is idd FPS hungry. Looking towards population centres, sometimes dropped me into 40's and 30's. And I run all other maps at 60 fps (Vertical sync). Gtx 1080ti/32gbram/5ghz

You don't see it as a big deal- fine. Those that care about historical accuracy do. The fields in the map are primarily forward auxilliary bases. The proper home bases of the RAF squadrons are mssing, and would allow for the recreation of proper historical missions and scenarios, which for many, is exactly what this is all about.
-
+100000000 for Biggin Hill. It is THE RAF base to include. Also, if you like consider requesting more variety in colours for France. France is a complete patchwork of various fields- not nearly the uniform green fields as shown. There are thousands of recon photos from france to use as reference. Accuracy matters. Fingers crossed.

Seriously underwhelmed at the videos. A tiny map. No East Anglia. No low countries. The map is carpet green with a couple of yellow wheat fields and the water and coastline looks tropical. What did look good was the airfields and population centres. It can not model BoB well due to lack of relevant aircraft and London missing. I can model 1942 cross channel raids on a tiny scale (Albeit without proper bases- especially for Americans). It cannot model 1944-45, in a good sense, since the Germans were in full retreat after Normandy and set up new lines in the Low countries. This is a missed opportunity and looks very dissapointing I am very sad to say, and their desicion making as hard to grasp. Why not move the map north and east- include the tip of east anglia and the low countries at least? That would provide a new region, a solid 44 scenario (Market Garden ++) and proper bases for American Fighters and bombers. (And don't talk about size, it would not need to be bigger as the most would be water where the channel is wider). This map is good for quasi historical airquakes around the Cliffs of Dover. As a huge DCS fan and WW2 nut, I am sad and dissapointed. This was the last thing we needed after all the years in agony with the deeply flawed Normandy map.

Request: Have carrier communicate to CHOSEN modex from loadout
REDEYE_CVW-66 replied to REDEYE_CVW-66's topic in Wish List
Ok. We had issues with our MP group. Were you testing in SP? -
As it stands, the carrier coms only refers to the MODEX (Sidenumber) that you spawn into. Even if you change your modex in the loadout screen, the carrier will refer to the original one. This seems trivial, but it is not. In our squadron, each pilot has a modex. Needless to say, pilots switch who they fly with, what flight etc. We have made a mission template that we fly our campaign from. As it is now, we will have to go in and manually tune every single AC in the ME before the flight to accomodate for this. If the SC would use your CHOSEN sidenumber (Should you choose to switch), this problem would be solved. Example: These pilots have their designated modex (and skins based of it) "Maverick": 101 "Goose" : 107 "Jester": 111 In the mission you might have three flights going from the carrier. Ford 1: Modex 100-103 Ford 2: Modex 104-106 Ford 3: Modex 107-109 Ford 4: Modex 109-111 As it stands now, these pilots needs to spawn in 3 separate flights to get their modex correct. Question: "Why can't they just spawn in different flights if they want to fly together" A: Because then their three-ship would have 3 different callsigns and the AWACS and tankers would go ballistic. Besides, mission situations might dictate that "Maverick" would have to go in Ford 3, etcetc.. This is not a big deal for single player pilots or airquakers, but for multiplayer squadron it is a big deal:) Other than that: Thanks for a lovely carrier!

Repaired- now F-14 working... phew!
-
Cheers! Got the SC working now- no airspawns (Forgot to activate)- but still no Tomcat, even though it is listed as activated.
-
When I choose F-14 I start in an A-10... Unable to select F-14. Also, when setting up Supercarrier, and adding aircraft to 'start from from ramp' they start in the air... also.. the deck crew is missing... Is this just my install, or can someone confirm..?
-
CVW-66 is looking for F-14 crews! Have a look in the recruitment thread and send me a PM if interested:) With the Supercarrier on the doorstep, there has never been a better time to be a naval aviator in DCS world. If you are looking for 'serious' fun, with friendly, mature and dedicated players, in a small and tight knit outfit, we might be just what you are looking for:) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=255554 Redeye CAG, CVW-66

Question is; can they, on the real airplane, be folded, like the Hornet and Eagle? If so, it would be an awesome feature. I know I can turn them 'off', but black mirrors is not quite the same as having them realistically tilted. Saves a tom of fps wile still looking alright.

This is fantastic. Values should be copied into base game by ED. Great work!

Which terrain / texture mod?
REDEYE_CVW-66 replied to markturner1960's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
There are more that works though. Barthek has one out and one in WIP. Starway has one out. I saw someone else had one out less than a week ago on 'DCS user files' Note that they are all Caucasus though. -
Nice!

Resquest: Ju-88 firing rate adjustment
REDEYE_CVW-66 replied to REDEYE_CVW-66's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Yeah, but machinegunner in the world just keeps his finger on the trigger for a minute straight, the accuracy (ironcally) would be horrible. It would be much more likely to have them fire bursts in intervals. -
Ok- strange, I just did it before doing the mission. However, he mission was created before testing it, so that could be it. Thanks.

At this time, Ju-88's fires s completely solid stream of bullets non-stop, making it more like a laser show than ww2 combat. Suggest that they fire in burst- and with lower accuracy. An 'average' skilled flight of Ju-88 decimented a flight of 4 spitfires in seconds... I love the asset pack and I love DCS, I just... Did you not notice this in testing? Even the B-17's, who aren't slouches with their 50 cals and snipe most of what moves in the sky are better than this. And yeah I know "Beta" etcetc. But how hard can it be to have a normal firing rate?
-
Hey there. Long time fan of DCE, but have some trouble running the latest with open beta. Hornet TF74. I think I have set up all things as I should, but I get the following error after missions:

I assume this will be with an FC3 ac cockpit and avionics?
