  1. Lookin at this from another AR thread.. It seems the fuel not being used from the externals with the AAR door open is correct behaviour - but the fact that the fuel level immediately drops once the AAR door is closed sometime after refuel as if it had been used from the external tanks that whole time is incorrect. Ideally you should run out of fuel with full externals if you leave the AAR door open. Edit: Sooo, Missing Track File huh, well you will keep missing it as it's a large file. Eh, you can fix it or ignore it - 6 of 1, 1/2 doz of the other to me really. Done the legwork for ya and it's pretty easy to reproduce.
  2. In actuality that is exactly what it is...but it is not your physical IPD, but if you can imagine the IPD of your digital self in the world. SO by reducing the DCS IPD setting for example - you are effectively moving your digital DCS eyeballs closer together, giving you a smaller digital head so the world looks bigger, and vice versa. Why it seems different for each aircraft I have no idea! But it is easy to set - just set it too small and look at your 1:1 sidestick in game and at your Warthog grip IRL...looks way too big. Now go the other way and it will look way to small - then just converge the two till you can swap between headset off and on and there is no size difference. Anything at 1:1 scale works held at the correct position to match in-game, such as a certain display or instrument panel. If you can't look at two different images and tell if one is different than the other....
  3. Checking world scale is super easy in VR if you have something of scale to work with - I set my DCS scale IPD initially in the F-14 using a 1:1 printout of the front panel/ACM panel etc. I had to reduce it a fair bit in the Viper by simply lifting my headset and comparing my TM Warthog grip and MFD.s to the in-game items, which seemed quite a bit smaller than my IRL items. I have all these items positioned identically IRL as in the sim relative to my head position. The world scale is also dependant on what type of headset you are using, as when I tried an odyssey+ I had to adjust the in-game scale quite a lot from my Rift. Probably dependant on other things such as prescription inserts etc.
  4. That's the general consensus. raised several times already - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251485&highlight=RWR
  5. I would like to echo the positive comments and appreciation in the previous posts! It is great to be able to finally sit in the Viper and appreciate it in VR in DCS World. There is plenty to do flying-wise with the existing release to keep yourself busy and have absolutely no complaints or concerns regarding 'too early'. You don't go straight to full-functionality on day one of converting onto a new military aircraft anyway, hell the first 'flight' is just taxiing around the ground lol. More features will come in time, and in the meantime I will continue to enjoy just being in the jet. Thanks again for all your hard work ED!
  6. Possibly referring to the ability to see through slots in these readouts to the rudder mechanism etc. behind? - already raised. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251037
  7. Interesting, I actually thought the speedbrake performance was pretty good. I can approach the tanker etc at a speed I would consider too fast in the Tomcat to stop and just wack open the SB and it slows right down and you easily match speed.
  8. Might have a bit more info to work with - just testing with normal procedures and yep both brakes worked equally. However if you have the parking brake set and then advance power, which releases the parking brake, then the LH brake is really weak and the RH is normal. May be related.
  9. Had a look through the fuel system in the -1 and couldn't see any specific details about this, so it may well be a design feature. Following AAR with Fuel Qty Indicator switch turned to Ext Wing, the reducing quantity in these external tanks will not be updated so long as the AAR door remains open. The quantity will update during AAR to show fuel entering tanks as you would expect. So you can blast around in full AB burning down the internal wings and using fuel from the external tanks - then close the AAR door and the needles will snap down to the actual fuel level in the external tanks. Tested on several occasions - no track as it is quite a protracted process and the file is pretty big! Obviously not a big deal as you generally close the door as soon as your done fuelling - nevertheless.
  10. It might be related to the permanent reflection effect that ED have going on with the MFD's. I was using the targeting pod and kept wondering what the shadowed shape was at the RH side of the LH MFD, then realised it is the static cockpit 'reflection'.
  11. Yep - I am more an old-skool kinda guy
  12. +1 here Left toe brake doesn't even stop a rolling Viper at idle, right brake works fine. Using TM TWCS rudders. Work fine in all other aircraft, 3D pedal moves to full extent and axis movement is identical for both toe brakes in the axis manager. I am getting around it by just mapping the wheel brake axis to each toe brake lol. Will try to get a track illustrating it.
  13. Man using the VR zoom in the cockpit now is freaky after the speed increase. I feel like the MFD or whatever I am looking at is gonna smash me in the face lol. Was perfect before, never understood the need for turbo-zoom speed.
  14. There is the sound when they are open - so there is that feedback I guess. But for me it is combined with a rumble in the Jetseat so I notice it more. Hearing the sound when combined with AOA rumble (which sounds sweet btw) would be quite hard. Even with the additional Jetseat feedback I still find myself jabbing at SB close now and then, especially during BFM just to make sure - like when you drive a manual and give the stick a wiggle all the time to confirm its in neutral :)
  15. Also DMS left/right short is toggling it also at the moment. ED are aware it should be a long press.
  16. So clearly you're just trolling now...
  17. I believe he means the DED display yes. Selecting pretty much all the pages gives you a WIP message, which is to be expected.
  18. Sure does, just have your HSD up on other MFD and you will see SP move around. We are also missing the CZ or Curser Zero option on the MFDS to reset SP to original position.
  19. Reported and previous thread closed - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251238&page=3 Would be nice if someone with the F-18 could post the RWR sounds and file location for us plebs without it till it's fixed.
  20. DED should also show an 'A' next to the SP number on CNI page in Auto SP mode. I believe you can select Auto with the SEQ switch, but it doesn't seem to cycle to nxt SP automatically. WIP I assume.
  21. Check your axis mapping, radar elevation axis acts kinda funky. Easier to map it to keys. ANT ELEV Knob - CW & CCW Edit: Sniped lol
  22. 1-banana, 2-banana, 3-banana - LASE! Disclaimer: Your number of bananas may differ based on altitude.
  23. +1 The right side of the second line can display wind direction and velocity. When the SEQ position of the DCS is activated, wind direction (referenced to magnetic north) and velocity, in knots, is displayed. When the SEQ position of the DCS is again activated, wind data is blanked. If wind data is displayed when the CNI page is exited, wind data is displayed when the CNI page is re entered . Wind data is not displayed upon UFC power up.
  24. I have noticed one glaring fault with GBU's. Dropping the last GBU on the aircraft and the TPOD will not remain on the target. As soon as you pickle the bomb the TPOD wanders off and looks at god knows what. Every time on the last GBU released from the aircraft.
