Same here. I usually set a few extra waypoints on the way to the objective. I use TGT1, TGT2, TGT3, etc...
Then as I get coordinates I punch them straight in. You can even go back afterwards and change the name of you want to.
Been watching this closely and extremely excited about this. Haven't been able to place an order yet due to financial reasons but will definitely be jumping on board soon (I hope). Keep up the great work Miles!
It's been like that in the A10 since before the other modules existed.
Left click = Up/Left, Right click = Down/Right.
I was surprised when the newer modules started doing it the other way. In either case I would like it to be consistent across the board, either one way or the other.
Not sure about a fix but what I do when I feel too close is to move forward slightly (IRL) and then hit the VR Center key. It forces the "center" position to be slightly forward and then when I sit up straight my VR view feels more natural.
Agreed. Especially since the door gunner and crew chief positions won't be interacting with cockpit switches and aircraft systems, just firing the door guns. If they can make it work for the pilot positions I would expect it to work for all four spots.
I really hope there isn't an upgrade fee for this. I support ED all the way and even buy modules I don't fly often but multicrew for the Huey was promised before launch. I think it was the first DCS bird to advertise multicrew.
This is actually the reason I bought the Huey way back at beta release. It's exciting to see something being announced about it. Hopefully they make steady progress and get it out sooner rather than later.
My best guess is that it's quicker and more efficient to keep the guys that were moved from the Hornet to the Viper shortly before the Viper's release on the Viper to finish some systems (e.g. TWS) and then move them back to the Hornet implement the same structure. It would take longer to have a another developer step into half finished code than it would take to let the same dev(s) finish it on the Viper and then move back to the Hornet to implement the same systems.
First time attending so I just have a quick question. How will communications be handled for the teams? Is it all being done through discord? SRS?
Thanks!
I only turn them on when I'm fully trained and comfortable with the aircraft. Basically when I know it inside out, have studied it in depth and know that I can handle any failures that may occur.
There is a bunch of stuff available for the F18 and lots to practice and learn but just understand that it is still very far from being completed and there is a lot of functionality still missing.
I've always wanted to have an option to turn on civilian air/marine traffic to add some life to the DCS World (Similar to how we enable civilian vehicle traffic now).
