  1. Overall I am happy with Jester, but... yea i'd like for IFF to be a bit higher on the priority list for him. I almost shot a friendly the other day but thankfully I was really careful and VID'd my target. Jester refused to tell me if it was friendly or not.
  2. Good lord the air con in that thing is freaking loud. It's no wonder Victory wore ear plugs under his helmet.
  3. This, you guys need to give jetseat and/or the buttkicker a look. The feedback they provide really helps.
  4. Not sure if that's the same video cobra got a hold of or not but I wonder if the higher pitched tone could be due to the tape distortion/tracking at the same time? I know back from watching VHS tapes that sound and picture was often affected at the same time... as heavily distorted video tapes. But if their SMEs are saying that's how it sounds....
  5. Shame about not being able to buy the throttle or joystick separately... Any chance we could see the internals/wiring? I mean they look great on the outside but will they last for many years? There is an issue (especially with throttles) of wires breaking).
  6. Yep, it sounded like it was close when they talked about it a few months ago but we haven't heard much more on it. But it's definitely in their pipeline.

  9. I am sure you guys could easily make up a mount... he may be just talking about not sitting it on a desk or something. It would probably slide all around without being attached to something.
  10. Keeping an eye on this, that HOTAS looks really nice.
  11. From how I understand it A/T in the F14 works differently from the F18. In the F14 the A/T is working to keep you on AoA (in the E bracket) whereas the F18 A/T is only working to keep your airspeed constant. So, unless I am mistaken it would only be able to be used on landing.
  12. I am looking forward to better grading systems and/or damage modeling, specifically in the F18. It's going to be quite the wake up call for many of us, especially the ones that formed bad habits.

  15. I noticed the only way to get the external tanks filled up is to remove them on the first rearm, then add them on a second rearm otherwise they don't fill. Is this an ED bug or a HB bug with the F14? I can't recall off the top of my head if this impacts other aircraft. I don't remember it happening on the F18.
  16. Oh nice advice. I think a lot of us are "spoiled" by the F18 with it's fly by wire system. I constantly find myself climbing or diving, I will have to do as you suggest from now on.
  17. Correct, ground SAM sites are not dynamic.
  18. I know this is marked as "Not Realistic" but when most people don't have a throttle detent that gameplay trumps realism. Afterall the real thing has a detent. It's the same thing as us getting the altered Maverick slew due to warthog throttle limitations.
  19. This is the biggest issue I feel... things disappearing based on zoom. Doesn't just impact contrails either but some ground units. I have seen FARPs and radio towers on blueflag disappear when I wasn't even all that far away.

  21. Yep, if I were to pull a date out of my ass without any knowledge of how long anything takes I would say a May-June release for the targeting pod.
  22. Once the engineer that is working on HARMs is done he is moving to the targeting pod. No firm ETA.

  24. Yea, classification has a LOT to do with what gets made, Wags and other devs have said as much in the past. It's one reason ED itself can't do any Russian full fidelity modules that aren't super old.
