  1. I guess you did not set up the native resolution of your screen? I did notice this too when i had a different resolution than my native one
  2. You can shut the bleed air valves and wait until you are under 20% RPM. Then, even with throttle in IDLE it should go off. Of course this is not as it is intended, but still..
  3. You can activate random system failures and in the mission editor you can set the condition for many systems. If you don't mess aroundwith this, then it is just show
  4. NDB stands for non-directional beacon and is usually the term for the transmitter antenna. As the name suggests, it transmits in all directions simultaneously. ADF (automatic direction finder) is the term for the receiver. Use the ADF in your aircraft to navigate via NDBs. A VOR (VHF Omnidirectional radio range) transmits also in every direction but not simultaneously. There are actually two signals. One signal, which rotates and a reference signal, which is omnidirectional and 'blips', when the rotating signal hits the 000 radial. When receiving both, using time difference between the two signals, you can calculate, to which radial the rotating signal corresponds. The frequency range of NDBs is usually in the 100kHz range while for VORs, it is the 100MHz range.
  5. I guess the screenshot says everything BTW: I tracked a friendly, seems like IFF is also not working correctly (and yes, I know, everything is WIP, the IFF is very very simple and one should wait some seconds to identify it correctly) however this should be discussed elsewhere
  6. Approaching from a different side, like aligned with the valley they are in. I don't know the campaign but it would be my guess
  7. If the real Harrier does not have this option, then the Razbam Harrier won't have it as well. However, there is a possibility to change HUD colors on your own. You have to edit some files but i don't know which one
  8. I can't try by myself now, but is it possible that it depends on the course, you set? For example the TACAN station is out of range at a bearing of 000 deg from you and you fly directly towards it. Then, you set the course line to 90 deg. Since the course line intersects the station and is also perpendicular to your flight path, in this case, you cannot see the course line. Use the same example but set up the course line for 000 deg or 180 deg. Do you see it now?
  9. He meant the volume knobs
  10. I would not wonder that the FA18 gun is less effective that the A10's. The A10 IS basically just the gun with also some wings attached. Nothing comes close to that..
  11. Absolutely! So let's better close the bug forum since nothing works anway? The forum is (among other reasons of course) here to ask about such things, point out possible bugs and clarify things. Furthermore the OP seems to be well aware of the fact that he has an early access product (as he clearly stated in the title)
  12. Sometimes it is already too late and it resetted already back in the meantime
  13. Hi Title says all. I try to enter a new frequency in the manual channel and sometimes it is not accepted but snaps back to the initial one. Please see the video. The first time i change it, it works as intended, the second time it does not https://youtu.be/lVYBxwOLNtY Edit: I'm a fool, i wanted to post this in the bug section. Please move
  14. My bets on this!!
  15. Hopefully the Skyhawk! Then, the Top Gun scenarios are perfect
  16. Posting this at the release day of the Hornet lets a decent kind of humor shining through :D
  17. i know that it is more pain to download it now and suffer from the slow speed than to wait for tomorrow :D
  18. With thursday you should be safe;)
  19. I would guess at around 5pm or 6pm UTC+2. The usual time, updates are rolled out.
  20. One is certainly fine with just a one-axis throttle. However, since it is the first time that an aircraft has actually both engines modeled separately, how is it affecting flight characteristics? IRL, the pilot can move both throttles on their own in order to account for the thrust asymmetry. Here, one will always have a small yaw moment because of the different engine performances, i guess..
  21. Full fidelity DCS: Oil Rig confirmed :D
  22. That's true, however the Spitfire only has one lever at the control stick. I managed to configure the axis with deadzones such that it has only an effect for deflection > 50%.
  23. Hi I'm not sure, whether this is an ED thing or separate for every single module, so I put this here. My request is about break axis. Currently, we have two axis for both left and right brakes and one axis to activate both brakes for those who don't have pedals. However I wish for a solution that makes it possible to activate either the left brake or the right brake just by using one and the same controller axis. Depending on the axis deflection, either the right or left brake is activated. This could be useful for people who have a spring centered axis (like a twist grip) or like an axis on the thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas throttle (which I have and it would perfectly fit for this). Please see the attached picture (taken from Amazon.de). To clarify further what I mean, I made a little graph to show, how such an axis could look like. The controller axis is centered by e.g. a spring in the middle and can be deflected positively or negatively, activating either the right or left brake. The advantage is a better control of the brake pressure when taxiing e.g. in the P-51. What do you think about this? Thanks
