Sweet it didn't work 2 hrs ago! for me any way...

Hi all so I took a ride in the Dora on Caucuses map, and the MW-50 issue seems to be fixed, I figured that I would run it till it blew up ... this shouldn't take long right.. well 25 min later it finally quit, and I abused it badly. man it was running bad at the end...I am a mechanic, so it felt like it broke a valve spring or dropped a valve, I was flying along and it was running great then her voice changed ... and it missed a few times, and it just did not sound the same after that.. I was not in a combat situation, so I kept flying to see what would happen...well about 10 min later it was missing and Knocking I was doing 300 at 1.5 and was loosing speed. anyway, well done all on the ED team! I still cant say how it felt flying with a sick engine waiting for it to quit running...

Hi all, I got home and made a flight on Normandy and the fuel bug was still there. then I did a flight on Caucuses map and the drop tanks and fuselage tank were working, so it seems the bug is fixed on the ED maps, but not Normandy. so things are looking up, and also my graphics and clarity, and performance seem much improved....!!!

Cool, Is it really fixed? can someone confirm, as I am at work...

Are you all sure the cowl flaps are closed and the flaps are up? do a split S at 1000 meters and see the airspeed peg, set 50 % fuel and burn the aft tank first.. I got off of work today, and couldn't wait to fly it. I TURNED THE SOUND ALL THE WAY UP! Blippity blappety lump lump lump. (chough)... It sounded like 10 Harleys... I tried too pull the wings off and couldn't, its a very stable A/C, I am impressed.

Are you on the open Beta? if you are, try going to "All programs on the desktop, and click on Eagle dynamics>DCS open Beta>update open Beta and it should do it. you can also go to program files>eagle dynamics>DCS open Beta>bin>and click the updater icon. DCS checks every 24 hrs and wont check for updates, if you have logged on that day. hope this helps

Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet? :prop:

Come on, there is more than one team, just because there is one working on GVs doesn't mean it is taking away from other projects. By the way. the DM looks Awesome!!

I would buy DCS: C47/DC-3 in a heart beat, and have a blast flying the old Gooney....

Hello, What exactly happens? crash to desk top? can you see servers on the menu page? the larger, complex servers can take several mins to load. I had an issue with my pagefile size and it fixed my problem, a month or two ago,(Thanks Mustang!) is your firewall set to let DCS through? Try to connect by IP address. More info would be helpful.

Hi, I have to say if you are thinking of a trainer, L-39 is good, and multi-player works. C101 is good to, although I am not sure that multi-player works, I have yet to try it... maybe someone can say more.. I have about an hr. in it, but it seems really well done!

We are Recruting! Hi all, We are Recruiting! We have Russian, English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and German speaking members. It is a blast learning different cultures and aircraft all at the same time! We try to use English as our "in flight" language. We need English speakers! No need to be Bi-lingual, we will translate, we have Russian members that cannot speak English and English speakers that cant speak Russian (me), but we have several Russian/English speakers, so translation is not an issue. We have members in eastern USA and eastern Canada, Russia, Portugal, Belarus, and Ukraine. we have several real life pilots including a helicopter pilot. We fly mostly combined arms missions with aircraft, helicopters and live GCI. We do CSAR! we will come get you if you get shot down! Please be 16 or older, watch your language, as some of us have young children... but we are by no means Saints... All Nationalities are welcome. Feel free to stop by and check us out! our website link is in my sig. All skill levels are welcome. Our teamspeak is: ts.Virtual-Pilots.com or shoot me a PM. -
Fix the unpaved ground handling (not getting stuck on the ground)
Andy1966 replied to Fri13's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It's all part of it. once in a blue moon I will get stuck, but most of the time it is my fault. -
hi, Auto hover works fine, I use it a lot, trim to hover for the conditions then engage it, it is great in trees and in a cover situation, you can sneak right up on them... with all 4 channels on and auto hover too, I can hold position and control height with collective... very handy.. pop up add shoot .. BOOM... move and repeat... Try Urgax's missions... (Wink)

Hi, Once you learn to use the autopilot, instead of fighting against it, the Shark is very fun. we have 5 helio pilots in our squad, (including me), and one is a real Helio pilot IRL, (not me).feel free to hit the link in my sig. and check us out.

The A series has no turbo. we are talking a different beast. the reason for having a collector ring(on US engines) is to keep the exhaust outlets from each cylinder about the same length. it also gave a convenient place to have a waste gate (on turbocharged engines). engine manufactures have seen advantages tuning intake and exhaust pulse for years. see a 50s or 60s era formula 1 car and see some of the extravagant exhaust systems they had, every little bit helps.

Hi All, :helpsmilie: I have a question about multi player and the data link. Let me explain... I guess the easiest way to put it is, If two clients want to fly in the same group, with an AI wingman, can they be made to follow different clients in the same group? Is it possible or a pipe dream? We have tried every thing and the bots all want to follow the leader or #1, We are trying to set 1 and 3 as clients and 2 and 4 as wingman respectively in the same group. the mission really requires more than one group on the same data link, as we are searching for a submarine and speed boats. here is the .miz

yes, never taxi uncaged. every time you change direction, it throws it further out of alignment, I usually leave mine caged until after take off then get well trimmed straight and level then uncage it. during violent maneuvers, it can get out of alignment, and just get straight and level and cage and uncage it will correct it.

would it turn over? maybe air supply was depleted. flaps and gear need to be in neutral position, they leak air, I'm pretty sure I have restarted before, I will check when I get home.

Thank you! time to start reading....

the radio/nav. systems in Mi-8 are simple yet complex, if you can understand what I mean. The Ark-ud needs a beacon (set in mission editor) to home in on, and it needs to be set to one of six Freqs. 114.166, 114.555, 114.583, 121.5, 121.1, 124.1. plus it has a limited range, 30-40 Km and is line of sight dependent. there is a bug that is present, where, if you are tuning a radio, it disrupts the one you are listening to, but it doesn't change the settings of it. be advised if you use simple comms, that every time you change channels with the radio menu, you must set the master radio back to the radio you wish to have in your headphones. Hope this helps.

Good Idea Mr_Sukebe!

the TACAN is hard coded( I think) to some airfields on the southern portion of the map. (in Georgia mostly) the north portion uses PRMG, the Russian Beacon/ILS system. There may be a mod, or .Lua script that would do it, I don't know. However, If you have Mig-21 it(PRMG) is hard coded to the module, so M3 added it to all airfields, but they only work for mig. Some modules in Mission editor, such as the Stennis, you can add TACAN in mission editor in waypoint options.
