  1. Is it the keybind for the throttle pinky button or the button on the WH behind the throttles? Or both?
  2. Um, that’s Wags talking Hornet, not Viper. But yeah, let’s hope it follows on quickly.
  3. Who said they couldn’t or wouldn’t? If it’s a feature if the RL Jet, then I think it’s safe to say we’ll get it, eventually.
  4. If you search YouTube, the Grim Reapers tested Air Defense “Comm Links” about a year ago. Might help you determine what will work.
  5. You think the Israelis spend a lot of time with superior numbers?
  6. Superior record comes as much from superior crews and training as much as from a superior airframe.
  7. I’ll trade you for the one in the Viper which can’t be dimmed enough.
  8. You should be able to park tankers and AWACS in the NW corner by Base Ops in addition to the bomber pads north of the Golf Revetments.
  9. A good barometer on how closely guarded military technology is or is not is how specific aircraft are handled at airshows. Case in point: The B-1B... The first couple of years where they were on static display, they were surrounded by armed security forces, working dogs and signs warning about the use of deadly force. After that, they stopped posting guards and dogs. Then they no longer put up ropes and you could walk underneath the jet. Then they opened the bomb bays. And now, people line up for cockpit tours.
  10. Makes sense. Thanks for the amplification.
  11. Don’t think you can create -2, -3, -4 slots in MP. Every jet is its own entity.
  12. Formation flying without ever having to move your eyeline? Oh heck yes!
  13. What’s your Height Of Function set to? Delivery altitude?
  14. Which is accurate to RL.
  15. Yup. This. Don’t go into “parts” of A2G before you go into A2G. Just go from Full NAV to Full A2G
  16. Now three NOE videos. Maybe time for a nice round-robin tour at say, 10-15K?
  17. Ah, yeah. Couldn’t pick up the slight shift down and to the right. The good news is, he still killed it!
  18. Not necessarily... Case in point, flying on our NTTR server today going pretty much East to west with a 60kt wind out of the north. The “off axis” moment of the ground textures on the periphery of my vision definitely messed with my inner ear and this was with TrackIR.
  19. I’m sorry but what are we supposed to see?
  20. ...and Discord
  21. I wonder: Is the six-digit LAT/LON the Hornet can enter more or less accurate than the seven-digit LAT/LON used by the Viper (with it’s tendency to round)? What about the A-10C? Does it round seven-digit LAT/LON? (Yes, I know there are proper names for the different coordinates versions, but they escape me at the moment)
  22. For some reason, it rounds some numbers. I’ve seen this as well. <shrug>
  23. Jet’s systems are fine. Lighting is “questionable” with somewhat underperforming illumination on gauges and somewhat overdriven illumination in MFCDs but this is pretty much a DCS-wide issue right now with every module suffering lighting quirks. Just my $0.02
  24. There is no internal jammer and none to hang off the jet, yet.
  25. The Hog is meant to be flown as much “Head Up” as possible. Looking outside at prominent terrain features, towns, rivers, roads, bridges, smoke from wrecks, etc. is the best way to build a mental picture of where you are. Key Mark Points on the TAD are good for quick reference (and kicking your TAD to EXP Mode so it stays North Up is also handy. Easy to get a helmet fire if your AO continuously spins in a circle.) Remember that IRL, the A-10 really never works alone. Aside from the (rare) pre-planned strike, you should be working with additional air assets and/or eyes on the ground to help ID targets and set up attack patterns. Areas of heavy SAM activity are not the best for good Hog Ops (and neither is anything short of Air Superiority.)
