  1. In the training mission by Bunyap, he says that Post Designate CCIP “split” the aim point. ie, a stick of six bombs puts three before the point and three after. Is it possible that single bombs are trying to drop based on a given spread as if there were multiple bombs being dropped?
  2. Slow to load here too and often needs a couple of tries to reach the home screen.
  3. Last time I checked (one update back .. not the absolute latest) they worked from the A-10C and they worked very well.
  4. Happens in the F-16 as well but there’s a BRT / DIM switch which helps.
  5. I checked this and with a 20nm range on the radar, the spotlight cone extended all the way off a 160nm HSD scale.
  6. The displays certainly have a glow about them. Like someone patterned them after an overexposed photo.
  7. +1
  8. Lot of potential here.
  9. You’re also sitting well forward of the vertical axis of the aircraft. Yaw the nose left and the ball isn’t really going right, it’s initially staying where it is. Much, much longer moment arm than in your average C172 or PA-28.
  10. A displaced Ball means you’re slipping or skidding your turns. https://www.experimentalaircraft.info/articles/slip-skid-indicator.php

    A-10C Radios

Given the ongoing improvements to the Warthog, any chance that programming the radios could be brought directly to the Mission Editor in the same fashion as the Hornet and the Falcon with a “Radio Tab” of its own? Burying it in the Mission Prep lua seems “old fashioned.”
  12. Same in the A-10C and the F-16
  13. A-10C can drop them.
  14. Is there a Bat Sh*t Crazy Woman Mod?
  15. How about if a wingman, JTAC or FAC(A) is lasing? You can drop LGBs just like normal dumb bombs. They will still go Boom!
  16. The proper Hold Short lines exist at all eight spots where they should be.
  17. It's not perfect because in DCS, the Earth is flat, but it's all close enough for government work.
  18. One of the finest aviation shooters, ever. Oh, and he’s a pretty fair pilot too!
  19. Which begs the question: Are flight sims niche because few people enjoy them, or do few people enjoy flight sims because they are niche? IOW, would the genre benefit from wider exposure? Consider the History Channel program “Dogfights” which is essentially “flight sim” presentations of certain key aerial encounters throughout military history. Now picture the same type of show but with the graphics being generated by real time flying. Add CJ Lemoine as “Color Commentator” (as he has already done on a couple of other tournaments) or maybe Laobi (God forbid .. LOL) DCS is a commercial product so it’s not like you’d be monetizing a religion.
  20. You obviously don’t understand the explosive growth of E-Sports. It happens to be the single fastest growing entity in broadcasting with more money being spent to build competition / presentation / distribution facilities than anything else on the planet right now. If properly presented with both historical and technical context, why wouldn’t Air Combat be as appealing as Rocket League or Overwatch or any other game. And frankly, I think the “Sim” aspect could be quite appealing as it would take proper training, communication, etc. to persevere and win. Who wouldn’t want to win a large cash prize for winning a world-class air combat tournament?
  21. Have you tried TMS Right Short to step through targets in TWS?
  22. AFAIK, Al D has no ILS. It’s TACAN only on 96X
  23. I chose the functions I wanted, clicked on them, said “OK” and saved the profile. Don’t have any other black magic to offer.
