  1. AFAIK, the HOF (Height Of Function) is currently fixed at 1500’ and can’t yet be adjusted.
  2. Any chance you could post a screenshot of how yours looks at night at minimal illumination with nominal NVG brightness? Maybe I’ve got some issue about which I’m not aware...
  3. Well, the Viper is a very AOA-driven aircraft, but yeah, it’s kind of distracting at times.
  4. I’m aware of the illumination handle on the side of the display, but through which lighting dial can I turn it down to an absolute bare minimum (if not completely off?) With NVGs on, even at the lowest setting, it blooms so badly that I can’t look at my 12 to 10 o’clock making station keeping difficult in fighting wing or wedge right. TIA...

    AGM-65

    Precisely my astute Purple friend...
  7. Program 5 edits the Slap Switch on the side of the pit next to the throttle.
  8. Turn Chimney Smoke all the way off in settings.
  9. It is, but it’s a drop-down radio item. Touching something in the pit would feel more “natural.”
  10. Brilliant Idea!
  11. Appears that the state of the gun doesn’t factor in. With a CAP-9 and a TACTS Pod but a full Gun, no joy on the data display in question.
  12. Um, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure YOU are the head! ;)
  13. It does not
  14. Prior to this latest update, whenever you'd lock another aircraft on the radar, you'd get a range and relative velocity scale on the HUD regardless of whether or not you were carrying any A2A weapons (handy for ranging Tanker rejoins / station keeping in trail, etc on training flights.) After this latest update, you have to be carrying live A2A weapons in order to get that display on the HUD. Intentional change?
  15. SA-2 Battery has a green circle with no secondary weapon present.
  16. I’ve been on OB from Day One and this latest update put the .exe in the same folder described above. Moreover, there’s only the updater.exe and no run.exe at all.

    AGM-65

Jet still needs some help in figuring out where it’s going, needs some help in targeting ground targets reliably and also needs the ability to handle target altitudes. Once it can do all of the above, then maybe we can start to think about slinging AGMs.

    No Rad

Well that’s a change from previous behavior.
  19. To me, logic dictates that Master Mode selected should rule. If you’re in AG Mode, missiles shouldn’t come off the jet. Bombs don’t come off if you’re in AA Mode nor if you go to a Dogfight Mode from NAV, right?

    No Rad

What he’s saying is that prior to the latest update, NO RAD displayed on the HUD (and actually not radiating) was the default state when you switched to short-range missile dogfight mode. Now, your radar remains active the entire time. Which is correct?
  21. You might be amused to know that the front quarter angle view made the rounds on Facebook with a LOT of people convinced it was real and that the BAs were out "screwing around" while there are no airshows to fly right now.
  22. Understand the difference between Steer Points, Mission Points and Mark Points. Being able to freely switch among all three while on a flight can be a game changer! Get to where creating Mission Points on the fly is second nature (9 Line Data Entry)
  23. Ashilta is 100% correct. You can’t get GS to display via the switch on the right-hand panel.

    MGRS?

That’s actually not an issue. Even with only pre-placed, editable steerpoints, you can craft a flightplan which leaves room for an IP and targets. Just can’t (easily) do precision attacks lest you have the bulk of your flightplan devoured by the TGP slewing bug.
  25. Nice Catch Panther...
